  1. I'm on Jedi Covenant and a GTN search for Category: Item Modification, Subcategory: Hilt gives results that are incomplete. The returns are hilts but nothing above 37 (192). Change the search to Subcategory: Barrels and the results include both hilts and barrels but does include both items above 37 (i.e. 200+). Adding Name: "Hilt" does narrow the results from 70+ pages to around 40 pages.
  2. Reporting currently "doesn't work" because the reports go to a human (or two) who have to manually act on the report. I'm proposing that the human get replaced with algorithms that delete characters / accounts automatically when report thresholds are met. Now reporting will do something (and do it well).
  3. It is a game of whack-a-mole only if Bioware insists on using a manual solution. Automation can solve this problem. Account wide application of ignore (and friend) lists would be a welcome addition, but should not be required to automate the suspension / deletion of automatically identified spammers. The players are the ones bothered by this spam, the players are the ones reporting this spam, so let the players drive the removal of the identified account(s).
  4. I have customer service help request entries going back into December 2015 that are still open. Even worse, the spammers reported in December 2015 are still actively spewing their garbage. If customer service is too busy to manually handle these reports, perhaps some development effort should be spent automating the suspension or deletion of these accounts after (what has to be) some large number of complaints. The same automation should be applied to ingame chat spammers. I seriously doubt that with a large enough complaint threshold, there will be any "false" actions taken. Can someone from customer service please explain why their current method of handling these spammers is the best solution?
  5. Is this feature for subscribers only? My son just came back and is currently preferred status and he can't type a name so he can't save a keybinding.

  7. There's no schedule posted (yet) for a patch tomorrow (11/24)...
  8. So 4.0 is released (for early-access) and Corso Riggs can no longer use pistols (esp. Torchy, Flashy). 4.0a is released and provides Corso rifles he can use (thank you). 4.0.1 is released and those rifles are now unusable, but Bioware doesn't provide (for me at least), a pistol for Corso to use. So I have two requests. One, please provide a pistol for Corso just in case Torchy and/or Flashy got trashed this past week. Two, between last week and this week, Corso has had the ability to use both, why not make that permanent?
  9. IMO, the right answer is Bioware should add a "PvE" alternative to this mission. An acceptable answer is to modify the PvP matchmaking system to put all the PvE people doing this mission into separate warzones together (without any PvPers). This way, they don't interfere with those PvPers that really want to PvP with others that are there by choice.
  10. There's only one reason I can think of for restricting weapon types on companions and that is that the animations for those weapon types don't exist. If the animations for "cookie-cutter" companions are new (i.e. all the old animations are no longer valid), then a limit to the weapon types because of a limit to the number of animations makes sense. By the same logic, it doesn't make sense to remove pistols from T7-01 because there are no weapon specific animations for T7. Even if my analysis is correct, I still vote to restore all the options that were removed (and keep any options that were added). Just communicate that it will take time and then get it done! I'd also like to see the allowable weapon types for each companion be displayed as passive abilities again. If "cookie-cutter" active abilities makes this impossible, then add weapon proficiencies to their biographic descriptions.
  11. It would be extremely useful if the weapon proficiencies for companions still appeared as passive skills in the Abilities, Companions window. The release notes may have a list of those that changed (not sure if it is complete), but guessing what the others can use should not be necessary.
  12. But my Aric Jorgan has an Assault Cannon and I like it that way! What happens to him tomorrow?
  13. Same question for Aric Jorgan when he has an Assault Cannon equipped?
  14. My T7-01 has T7's Upgraded Blaster, a Blaster Pistol and according to the 4.0 patch notes, T7-01 can only equip Blaster Rifles in 4.0. There's no cosmetic difference (you can't see the weapon) but will he be weaponless come tomorrow?
  15. I'd like to see the "Report as Spam" trigger an automated "ban" as soon as a (small) threshold is reached (5 reports from 5 different accounts?). If you want to do manual checks, then manually "unban" if the automated tool made a mistake.
  16. I totally agree and couldn't have said it any better. I often use multiple alts to craft upgrades (Armorings, Mods, Enhancements, Color Crystals, Barrels, etc.) and while collecting materials on the fleet, I'll use the report option and then ignore the exact same spammer on four or more alts. One click report and ignore for the whole account is sorely needed.
  17. If it is really important that we report them, then make the process to report them as painless as possible. To me, this means 1) Single right-click, select menu option from main menu. 2) Automatically add reported character (and account?) to ignore list (on all characters on my account). 3) add a date to the ignore list so the oldest entry can automagically be deleted to make room for this new entry. Optional but nice to have would be a separate, account-wide, spammer ignore list (i.e. anyone reported by the above method). This list would include a date field so the oldest entry could be deleted to make room for the newest. You can then leave the present ignore list and functionality alone. Even nicer, after some number of people report a spammer, automatically ignore all messages from that account. Wardens or individuals that are not Bioware employees may be problematic, but ,IMO, a large enough vote threshold should have a minimal chance of error. Suspend an account but not delete it and let the GMs take the final step (or reverse the suspension if in error). We want to help control this problem, please give us the tools necessary to do so.
  18. The only potential issue I see is the case of 5 crew skills queued while you in a warzone. PvP groups tend to immediately requeue after each completion and I'd hate to see that fail until the crew skill missions are resolved. Once the requeue is accepted, there is usually a delay until the queue "pops" where the existing crew skills can be accepted (and 5 new ones started).
  19. After attempting to document a character on the Ask Mr. Robot site, I was appalled at how long it took. Please consider adding a "button" to the character display screen that extracts the character's equipment (with tooltip level detail) to a text file. I'd suggest using XML and the file can be stored in the same place combat logs are stored today. This should be implemented for both the character and the companion screens. You can use "name.xml" and "name-companion name.xml" as file names. I believe this can be implemented in the client and should be much less work than providing external access to the character database. I'm sure Ask Mr. Robot will jump at the chance to import this .xml file.
  20. Add another choice in the report list for "Report Credit Spam". This choice would add the name (account) to an account wide credit spammer list. Any name on this list is ignored. This list should be time ordered so the oldest entry is removed when space is needed for a new entry. I don't need any other UI changes to see or manage this list. The list only has to be large enough to handle a weekends worth of credit spammers. This leaves "Report Spam" for anybody else you wish to report for any other reason.
  21. Instead of raising the limit, there's a couple of things that would make managing the list easier. First, add a notes field. Second, make "Report Spam" auto ignore with an appropriate note. Third, allow mass delete of ignores with a given note text. An alternate solution would be to have an ignore list and a spammer list. "Report Spam" adds the name (account?) to the spammer list. Names on the spammer list are ignored. The spammer list is account wide. Add a clear the spammer list button or add the time the spammer was entered and remove the oldest when you add a new one.
  22. I'm a bit confused. I am a subscriber (have been since the beginning) and I don't understand what pre-order means to me? Can you explain it, please?
  23. I agree this is the best solution but has anyone figured out how to remove a ship from the ready bar?
  24. I'm guessing that its a function of the 3,4, or 5 ships currently available to use (active). If you have more than 5, the ones you can't use shouldn't count for or against you.
