  1. Just goes to prove that taste varies. Personally, I shelled out for the TSW lifetime after trying the beta.
  2. Ours took 86 hours - just over three and a half days. Ticket was filed at 1 AM on Thursday, 6/14. 2 tabs transferred without problems.
  3. Math fail. WoW has nowhere near 10M US subscribers. More like 2-3M.
  4. There was no Q&A this week. They probably skipped it because of the Guild Summit.
  5. There's a reason why CS response times are so slow...
  6. Now that the trial is here, it seems pretty obvious that this restriction was put into place in order to keep free trial players off the fleet. I know the restriction was put into place shortly after launch, but they were thinking ahead.
  7. This has got to be one of the lowest priorities. If you don't want to activate it, don't click it. What's next? Can't click a stim if it's still active? Can't use fast travel if you're next to the destination? Can't aggro another group of mobs if you're still engaged with the first group? The only solution needed to fix mis-clicking is to stop doing it.
  8. You should try reading the article you linked. The only message there was that they wanted to do a Mac port, and would look at it. That's nowhere near a firm commitment that they'll actually do one.
  9. The premise of the OP is totally bogus anyway. Anyone who uses their Mac for gaming already has Bootcamp and a Windows license. Additional incremental cost: $0.
  10. Let's talk about Diablo 1 & 2 - they were acclaimed as groundbreaking but not for their story. Their story was about as unoriginal as possible. And being able to remember the Butcher, in my opinion, has nothing to do about story. So I think we fundamentally agree what story is.
  11. This basically proves that there's no accounting for taste. I think TOR is superior to the first two, but at least Witcher and Deus Ex are in the ballpark. The next four, I found to be complete bores story-wise. Never played the last three, so I can't say about those. Basically, I find story in TOR far superior to anything on your list that I've played.
  12. I know this sounds good, but it's just not realistic. For starters, you won't even be able to hire the team lead. All the best writers are good at writing solo, they don't know anything about writing in a team. Separately, regerding the central thesis of the thread, I think TOR has very good story elements. It's not going to be regarded as a work of great literature, but that's not a fair comparison - it needs to be compared against other entertainment writing. Compare TOR against other video games, movies, TV, and I think TOR does pretty well.
  13. Well, there's Kaliyo. She's ... different.
