  1. I hope you meant kicking, not kissing.
  2. You forgot to mention that we have no hard CC at all, and the closest thing we have CCs both the target and us. Not that anyone will read this, it's easier to just cry on the forums than to actually learn how to counter people. I love attacking Sorcs now, by far my favorite targets. Instead of simply cleansing my DOTs or kiting me, gimping my damage completely, they try to facetank me and either outheal or out DPS me through defensive cooldowns. It's funny, if you go back through the last 10 pages of the PVP forums, you will find at least one thread claiming each of the 8 classes is OP. According to these forums, you would think that when two people attack each other the ground should crack open and the arena crumble due to the sheer overpowered goodness spewing from both combatants.
  3. This just in, melee classes do a lot of damage in melee range. In other news, the sky is blue, fire is hot, and Doritos Locos Tacos are delicious.
  4. Those are unbuffed stats, or stats with the SW, IA, SI, and BH class buffs? I'm assuming buffed due to the 117 and not 112 on the Stim note. Obviously it's without popped Adrenals or Relics.
  5. No. Rift had roots on their DR timer and it made melee classes completely unplayable. Enjoy playing your Guardian when you cannot root or slow a ranged class at all. I don't think you even understand how Resolve works, since with a full Resolve Bar you are immune to knockback, and as a Guardian you have access to an ability that makes you CC immune for 4 seconds after a charge. TLDNR: No.
  6. Fixed that for you, free of charge.
  7. Yeah, Carnage is by far my favorite of the three specs, mostly because of all the roots. I still run Annihilation most of the time for the Self Heals though (usually queue with no Healer). Can't wait for Dual Spec so I can run both depending on the WZ that pops. Never liked Rage, gimmicky and easily countered. As for the backpedal vs. turning and running, both are bad. Should be strafing away and not giving your back to an opponent. Backpedaling may be 'easier' when setting up knockbacks, but it's not faster, nor is it better, than strafing and turning with the keyboard. Maybe we should debate clicking vs. keybinding next.
  8. Yeah, I would think that being Ravaged by four men at once would be painful.
  9. Or more likely you just aren't very good. Let's assume the scenario played out the way you say. You have 16k health and 40% of it was taken away in 1 hit following a charge from a Marauder. That's a 6400 damage hit. For him to do that much damage in one shot he would have needed a Berzerker WZ buff, and popped a Trinket or Biochem pot, possibly all three) and used 30 Stacks of Rage to give him a fully buffed Smash, while already having 4 stacks of Shockwave from a prior battle. Using Smash after the initial Charge caused it to auto crit and it hit you for 6400 Damage. This is EXTREMELY unlikely, to the point of being ridiculous, but let's keep going. Smash Bomb Marauders are easy to counter, you watch their buffs and when you see 4 stacks of Shockwave on them, you kite away from them, CC if you have to, until the stack falls off. They wait until four stacks to Smash, so as soon as you see it you know exactly what's coming next and can counter. You didn't. So after the ridiculously unlikely Smash bomb decimated your health, you used a knockback and shot him a few times. He immediately recharged you (Zealous Leap not charge, as charge has a Cooldown) and used an instant strike (likely Vicious Slash) and Ravage. Ravage is a self root for the Marauder and has its damage backloaded. Marauders have no form of Hard CC at all, so essentially you just stood there and ate it without defending yourself, much like you did from the Smash bomb. This Vicious Slash + Ravage, that you could have negated by simply moving away, then proceeded to do anywhere from 45-55% of your health through your damage reduction cooldown (Zealous Leap has a Damage component). As unlikely as the 6400 Smash crit was, this scenario is simply not possible. More likely, you either were not at full health when you were jumped (most likely scenario), are not geared the way you claim, or were being attacked by a ranged DPS as well that you did not notice. Regardless, you handled the entire situation about as poorly as possible by eating all of a Rage Spec Marauder's most damaging abilities.
  10. Well to be fair, the 31/31/31 Marauder IS overpowered at the moment. I can't wait till Bioware wakes up and nerfs them.
  11. Almost had me, until I saw "backpeddle away". Still, 7/10, would read again.
  12. As opposed to the 'SKIL REQUIARMENT' of not having to look at what you're hitting? Leave it in, but remove the Melee requirement to face targets and remove all positional requirements from abilities currently in game (Backstab etc.). How does that sound? On topic, won't happen due to Cover as people already mentioned, but it should. You think Tracer Spammers are crying now? Just wait and see what happens if this ever makes it in.
  13. Absolutely false. This is an objective based game, and Tanks are without a doubt the best at holding objectives. Get a healer, better gear, or better at your class.
  14. I suggest you follow your own advice. 1000 damage hit boosted by 22% = 1220 Damage 1220 damage reduced by 18% = 1000.4 Damage that's a 1.0004% damage increase. Not 10%, or 4%, just barely over 1%.
