  1. Gunship Deathmatch Tilia, SGS-S1 Condor, Unrelenting, Red Eclipse - 34 kills & assist
  2. so the Starguard is probably the ship i fly the most, its the one i enjoy and have racked up a lot of time on. So based on my personal experience (and here, have some random stats for my strike only...3.52 k/d, 76.61%w/l 8.18 ave kills and 4 days played). The Starguard has a steeper learning curve than most other ships, it takes time to get used to it and you need to specialize a little to get the most out of it. It can be very capable in dog fights with the right equipment and practice but takes time to learn how. If you think its going to be easy then you're (mostly) wrong. For the players that can learn it and practice its a great ship with very varied play style that can really help a group. The load out of Ion cannons and other lasers makes it dangerous, concussion missiles are effective and it has good shield abilities. Giving it BLC doesn't fit the type of ship it is (in my opinion). Leave those on the other ships, if you're dependent on getting into BLC range on a Strike then I think you're missing a trick. I'd love to see them just leave the T1 Strike alone
  3. I'm a massive GSF junky and personally think this is good news. If the new ship role was the "stealth" ship then I'm glad its been kicked off the road map. I love the fact that in GSF you can see your opponents, you have a radar that shows them and you can adjust your game play to what you see. Stealth ships would ruin what I like most about GSF.
  4. all good advice from a good player of Gunships if you see someone get damage overcharge just stay away from them, if its a gunship it will just blast you away before you even see them.
  5. Tilia is Rep side on red eclipse I know for sure cos its me!
  6. Nice to get a shout out, thanks for that! I'm obviously making enough of a nuisance of myself in my strike Rep side I'd add saandrig, llamaeight and alema Imp side definitely jovi'juan is one I look out for and morpheo (but not seen him/her in a while) For me I still love GSF when not raiding it's where I'll be either solo queued or with llama and alema. Always happy to group with people if we're not full, the more the merrier n all that
  7. stealth ships are the one thing that worries me about GSF. I dont mind the Fotm scouts as I can still see them and have a chance, but a Fotm scout class with stealth would ruin some of my enjoyment. I like the fact that everyone can see everyone else, I like that stealth doesnt exist in GSF and I really hope that in never makes it into the game. I have no doubts there are people that feel the other way. I just dont see how, or why, stealth fits in with GSF
  8. We're still on the look out for tanks and melee dps to join our active raid teams. We run regular raid nights and progression raid nights as well as PvP and social events. Look us up or catch an officer in game.
  9. confusing I know as my sig says i'm in the guild but stay with me here.... we lost the name during server merges when landing on the Red Eclipse, in game we're called DR but the guild name in full is still Divine Retribution. So fast forward to this month and we learn that the red eclipse "divine retribution" has moved/merged with The Last Battalion and we wish them all the very best but we'd like to try and recover our name. We tried creating a new guild but the customer service team says the name is currently in use. so, if you're the guild leader or know who that is perhaps you'd contact me and maybe we can work out a deal. Thanks all IGN: Linxe / Tilia
  10. Genius. what a brilliant video. The huttball match was epic...the Civil War had me in fits, counting how many you could get in one go.. "come here and eat my wrath" absolute brilliance, thanks for posting it.
  11. I mucked around with alacrity last night using the 162 rating gear, the 2% from the DF tree and swtiching all enhancements out for +alacrity ones. I managed to get it to 7.78% which resulted in a 1.3 aimed shot cast time when also running burst volley. Top end gear will allow for a bit more alacrity but maybe ot a max of c9 - 10% then if you really sold out to alacrity you could shove in +alacrity augments and maybe then hit a 1.0 cast time but I dont think it will be worth it. As i said in my previous post with that level of alacrity I had a hard time staying off 100% energy which is funny but probably not very efficient.
  12. hmm I'd assumed the ship ops dummy had been upgraded to lvl 55 anyway. I'll try hitting the ones on fleet and compare I've heard that you can increase the size of debuffs/buffs on targets and yourself in the options now. One of my guild mates was playing around and said it was an option.
  13. spent a bit of time on the ops dummy in the new 62 gear. I went 36/7/3 and was basically playing around with new skills etc I averaged 2000 dps (in game with mox running) on the dummy (yeah people will do a lot better) but what I found was that it was very very difficult for me to get below the fast energy regen rate, there is a lot of energy regen in the build and the alacrity changes really helped out. Crit rating and surge take a real beating in this gear though and oddly accuracy needs a bit of work getting to the +10% mark but its not too terrible. So then for a giggle I basically replaced all the enhancements with power and alacrity, giving me alacrity of 432 (7.76%) including taking the 2% bonus from the DF tree. The difference was really surprising, it was practically impossible for me to run down the energy, hitting Burst Volly for the 10% extra alacrity pushed energy regen up to 8.2/second and freighter flyby down to 1.7 seconds activation, aimed shot was 1.3 second activation.. Stranger still was the increase in DPS even with crit down to 28% and surge to 51% my DPS went up to 2100. I'll run more, proper, tests and see but initial thought suggest alacrity may well be a really useful skill for slingers. logs if you're interested....I admit to not being the best and people will be much better but its a start and here are some numbers for people to look at. http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/combatlog/553db571-7887-4766-a488-b2ad409b86ca/player/1#d=0,f=16,t=1,b=1 fight 16 was the 7.7% alacrity and a "clean" run where i hit most cooldowns in game Mox was reporting this as 2108 but changed when i loaded to Mr Robot. Have a look, dont laugh too hard i was trying to muck around with alacrity and it surprised me.
  14. I have no problems with the PvP side of it, you're not forced to go into the PvP zone and I actually like the free for all approach, it stops the zerg fests that were Illum and means you can have some fun skirmishes. What really annoys me is that for those of us that actually do like to PvP its pointless. 1 quest that gives 100 comms, no valor for kills whats the point? People are only going to do stuff thats rewarding and this PvP just isnt. so really who was this patch and update for? Not for PvE'ers who dont like feeling that they're forced into PvP Not for PvP'ers who get no reward for their preferred style of play (or a style of play they certainly enjoy) Basically we got a reputation system grind implemented - and the rewards for that mostly appear to be re-hashes of stuff from elsewhere.
  15. ss build GS (valor 57) here and loving it, sure there are some annoyances - espeicially with cover, but once you get the hang of those you can be a beast in PVP But...its not just about DMG and kills...most of the time its about winning the WZ and Smugglers can help a lot with that. We have a lot of AOE for defending doors in Voidstar or turrets in Civil War. 12 seconds of not being able to capture a point because i've AOE'd it can (and often has) made a difference! An AOE knockback with a handy little stun on the end...very nice! But if you're just talking damage and kills well we can do that too. If foolishly left alone we can cause silly amounts of damage, even to heavy armored players. We can pick off low health opponents, we can harrass those healers and make them focus on themselves so other members of their team get killed etc etc etc versatility is what I love about my GS...and if i also get top dmg then I'm happy.
  16. i raised a ticket on this and did some testing, specifically in voidstar I'm able to recreate this bug everytime if I try to go into cover just as the round ends - so on 2 secs till end of round you try rolling into cover and the round ends as you're moving. I was told its a known issue and is currently being worked on to get a fix, wasnt given an ETA though.
