  1. Break Free should grant 5-10 seconds (not sure what is balanced) of stun/mez immunity after you use it. I just love breaking free and immediately being stunned again in the flames in Huttball it's so fun! With the new lower TTKs the stun/mez is just out of hand in my opinion. That is of course just my opinion and others may love the way things are now but I know me and my entire guild are extremely frustrated with PVP post 1.2 and Bioware seems to be saying "the new PVP is by design and here to stay".
  2. Will future events be designed to be completely voluntary in participation? Many of us are not happy with the current event's design because we get infected constantly while PVPing and since the vaccine doesn't persist through death, every time we die in PVP we are now able to be infected again.
  3. I wish they had 50 character transfers to PTS then i'd actually go over there to do some testing / feedback. I file a ton of bug reports and like seeing stuff get fixed, maybe if they had more feedback on this being a silly change it wouldn't have gone through (although it seems the PTS testers were mostly ignored for 1.2 testing feedback). Oh well, time to grind out more battlemaster pieces.
  4. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to the gear changes before they went live and I understand champion gear has slightly better statting but why does recruit gear give significantly more expertise than full champ set? I and many others worked hard to get full champion and were working on Battlemaster before the patch but now i'm better off buying the new blue recruit gear? Champion gear (something you had to earn back in the days of RNG madness) should have had better statting plus same expertise as recruit gear (something you can just buy with credits). I know they won't change it but it was frustrating to login and realize gear I worked hard to get was basically hosed in the new expertise setup :-/.
  5. This times 100. I feel exactly the same way, the time to kill is insanely lower now, with TWO of us healing (my guildmate and I operative + sorc healer) we cannot keep one person up who is being attacked with the nerfs they made to expertise and my lack of burst healing (im a sorc healer). It was too many changes with not enough testers on PTS due to no level 50 character transfers. I'm respeccing to DPS because being a healer is pointless with the changes. Against the new ravages if you stand still to cast a heal (lord help you if you try to cast our new terrible long cast heal now that force bendings effects got changed) you will get absolutely owned by a Ravage from a Marauder/Sent in literally 3 seconds.
  6. All sorcerers should just unsub and leave a detailed reason of how the PVP changes they made (expertise nerf to healing was uncalled for as well in addition to trauma debuff) as well as the long cast heal changes to force bending. If enough of us unsubscribe and leave the reasons why maybe they will notice and do something about it. I've still got 90+ days (I was a 6 month subscriber) but this overbalancing is crazy. Operative healers were already doing way better healing in warzones than we are (the good ones who knew the rotations) and they get buffed while we get nerfed into the ground? Healing in warzones is downright painful now and PVE has also been hosed since our burst healing is now gone and we kill ourselves with consumption. It was too many changes too fast, they should have tweaked one thing waited to gather some metrics post 1.2 then tweaked again in a few weeks if needed.
  7. The issue is that for healers in certain situations (happens to me about 50% of the time) you can be top healer heal your butt off (no this does not involve just mashing the keyboard nor are you afk) and you just can't get more than 2 medals. Example of what happens to healers now: If you are say helping your team attack an objective in Civil War (like a healer SHOULD be doing - healing the group trying to take a control point so you can win) then you get 0 objective points. If your team is having issues because they also have healers, guess what you don't get enough kills to get the 10 kills medal. You get 0 objective points medals, you get the 2.5k heal and the 75k healing medals. You die so much you don't get the 300k healing medal and because you are a sorceror and bioware in their infinite wisdom made your long cast heal horrible now, you never think to use it because of how inefficient it is so you never can get the 5k in one heal medal either. Thus, you are hosed unless you afk at the one control point your team does control which will in fact reward you with medals for doing NOTHING productive for the team.
  8. So the OP isn't lying, he may be a healer like me it is extremely hard for us to earn medals now for some reason, DPS is the way to go. I have cancelled my subscription and in the reason explained that the new PVP / reward system is horrible. I'm hoping that voting that way Bioware will see the issue if a bunch of people unsubscribe and tell them why in the reason box (select game issue: pvp). If their metrics show hey we are losing thousands due to PVP after patch 1.2, maybe we should fix it? I have 95 days on my subscription left (plus the free 30 days when they add it I guess) so it's not like they won't have a few months to fix the issues. It's extremely frustrating to be the top healer on both teams by far in a map healing your butt off and only get 2 medals = zero rewards. I don't get it, in 1.1.5 I earned plenty of medals as a healer, now I earn jack squat.
  9. Well he does have a point, for some reason healers can't earn medals hardly at all in 1.2 versus 1.1.5 (I used to earn 7-9 per match now I get 2-4 if lucky and of course with 2 you get NO rewards yay!).
  10. I absolutely hate the new balance, but i haven't respecced out of healing yet to DPS so maybe the grass is greener over on that side of the fence :-).
  11. Yep that's my plan is to respec back to DPS, I think you are going to see a lot less healers as more login and come to terms with the "new and improved PVP" that focuses on DPSing.
  12. ^ This is me in 1.2 as a sorc healer, i'm just going to go back to DPS, its not fun working your tail off and getting no rewards when pre 1.2 I earned medals like candy.
  13. I'm planning to respec to DPS this week (sorc healer) and it has nothing to do with the sorc nerfs it has to do with the entire rebalance in PVP healing just doesn't "feel" the same anymore. The sorc healing is really boring now too since you can't do quick cast dark infusions its all about resurgence -> innervate, twiddle your thumbs (joking but thats what it feels like). Also, I got top healer on a map and got only 2 medals so I got ZERO rewards for wasting 15 mins healing my butt off while my team lost. That is just silly, why am I going to ever queue again as a healer when I earn very few medals post 1.2 when pre-1.2 I did great?
  14. I don't normally post a whole lot on the forums but the new PVP changes have me really feeling burned. I don't think Bioware fully thought it through.. I used to PVP a lot before 1.2 and was excited about the new patch, i'm a sorc healer so figured ok they made some changes i'll deal with it. The nerfs are not horrible although my burst healing did go down a lot (and the expertise nerf to bonus healing by 50% was pretty harsh too) but the new medal system is absolute garbage for healers. Pre 1.2 I could get top healer a lot and keep the team alive or my guild mate who is an operative healer would top out the map. During that I would earn plenty of medals (the max at the time was 4 for valor/commendations) and I would earn around 7ish. With the new system I got top healer on a map (both teams) and was only able to eek out TWO medals resulting in me getting 0 valor, 0 credits, 0 commendations even though I tried my hardest. My team apparently couldn't kill anything and we were attacking a control point they held on Civil War so i guess you don't earn any objective points for that. The new system absolutely rewards winning with tons of extra free medals but if you lose, you are pretty much hosed. I am in full champion gear (yeah not battlemaster stuff yet sorry was only valor rank 55ish before the patch) so my stats aren't too terrible but this new change means its hit or miss if I will get anything for spending 15 minutes in a PVP match. Tell me again why I should bother? It's the only thing in the game where i'm not guaranteed to get *some* reward for participating (even in ops or hard modes you earn things from killing each mob such as legacy xp, equipment and credits).
  15. My biggest issue is your charts at the guild summit showed that biochem is NOT the most used crafting now by far (artificer was) so why continue to nerf us? If you are buffing all the other end-game crafting, in the future biochem should get access to better stims to scale up their one useful thing (BiS Rakata implants are from dailies not from biochem so we really only get the reusable stims and resuable medpacks for our end-game utility).
  16. They all had to sign an NDA last night so keep thinking it's lunch and a tour. Why else would he ask if the livestream was cut off yet or not? They stayed and had more discussion before lunch / tour I guarantee. You don't get hundreds of people into a hotel meeting room for only a 20 minute presentation.
  17. Yeah that was a bit lame but i'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they did that since it was going to be a heavy Q&A session and they didn't want to livestream all the random guild leaders asking questions over the internet (to protect identities). But also it could be that they want to talk about all the issues with the game and cut us out, either way pretty annoying.
  18. So I recently upgraded my hardware to a very high-end system and I can report 20v20 fights on Ilum I never drop below 25 FPS. Now, it's not the 60 FPS that you claim to desire but its a lot smoother than the YouTube video a person earlier in the thread linked to of their performance. For that guy: don't run real-time anti-virus while playing a game, thought everyone knew that. Real-time scans interfere with loading game files from the disk (it it has to scan them before it lets them be accessed). My specs (and yes this is an expensive machine and SWTOR should run better than it does - I agree it is a poorly written engine and i'll explain why later in this post): Core i7 2700K overclocked to 4.6GHZ 16 GB DDR3 2133mhz ram EVGA GTX 580 Superclocked Intel 520 Cherrydale 240GB SSD Drive (star wars and windows 7 are on this drive) I run in 1920x1080 resolution on a 27" monitor, I do have v-sync turned on so i'll never get more than 60 FPS anyway (it tries for 60 stable FPS to stop screen-tearing). Reasons why many of you may have issues: the graphics card does NOT matter for SWTOR hardly at all. This engine is ENTIRELY reliant on CPU and multiple cores. It was written heavily heavily threaded and is the ONLY game i've ever seen in the current market (especially MMOs) that *requires* at least a dual-core processor in its minimum specs. If you want better performance, you need a Core i5 or Core i7 (or equivalent 4 or 6-core AMD). 25-30FPS is about the most you can hope for from larger open world Ilum PVP fights and even then you may get hit with server latency in that area that isn't the fault of your hardware but is the server lagging due to # of requests in that particular zone.
  19. Yeah this change seems rather silly, it makes me want to grind PVP now as fast as I can until 1.1.2 comes out in the hopes of finishing out my champion set. I'm lucky too - I have 8 pieces of champ gear and the rest centurion already - but lowering the drop rate even more (opened 5 bags today, nothing but cent commendations yay!) seems stupendously dumb. I agree with others that they should just change it to be commendation drops only, no more of this gear token stuff. Let us be guaranteed some commendations of each type in the bags so that we can have an actual gear progression that isn't random. Let us see that "I do more warzones, I get better gear". That is how it should work, reward the people who spend the most time playing, not the ones who roll the dice lucky!
  20. Yeah that happened ever since they tried to fix in 1.1 the missions not re-appearing quickly enough. I'm up to 75 failed RE's now on a blue biochem level 49 implant. Yay no purples for me! Mutagenic paste is such a PITA to obtain too!
  21. Hey join the club beef_cake, I have RE'ed 60+ blue implants now, not a single purple schematic unlock! This system is horrible. We should get like 0.5% or 1% increase to our chances for each item of the same type we RE so eventually we get it. Meanwhile, my guildie REs like 5 blue implants and gets his purple and is making a killing on the AH now sigh..
  22. Our guild runs a premade group of 4 in HMs and have done probably 10+ runs in the last week. I'd say literally 80% of our loot drops are for AIM/END gear (for BH Tanks) and WE DONT HAVE A BH in the group. I swear there is mis placed number somewhere and it always is rolling a high chance for the one class you don't bring with you. We run with Sith Juggernaut (Tank), sith warrior (dps), imperial operative (heals), sith sorceror (DPS).
  23. Great ideas here, very constructive and we can only hope that Bioware works on some great end-game PVP now that they have the metrics showing how many of us play it (its about all I do now and i'm on an RP-PVE server).
  24. Please give us real server forums, this is way too confusing and messy. Other servers kick our threads down etc, so hard to find anything!
  25. Yeah not seeing this working... After like 15 wins max, they will level with how much xp you get from a win in the 40s. So basically they build a character to the 40s and then PVP a bunch for a week or so before dinging 50? That sounds like a LOT of work to twink to me.
