  1. There has to be something in the code that makes Hypergate come up more often. Of the 8 times we've gone into WZ's tonight, 6 of them were Hypergates. This happens on other nights, though not at this frequency. But Hypergates are typically 3:1 compared to any other Warzone. What the hell gives?
  2. I know you don't care. No, you can't have my stuff. When SWTOR came out, I was excited for it. I've always been a fan of Star Wars, but never got into SWG. This game looked like it was going to be good. However, more often than not, I was let down. I was let down in almost every aspect of this game: developer personnel, design decisions, game engine, class changes, etc. I'll list the main reasons below. 1.) The Game Engine: Let's face it, the engine is terrible. From a PvP standpoint, I cannot count the number of times character position was never properly communicated from server to client. Someone would be stunned on the ledge of a walkway in Huttball, and said person would appear in the pit to one person, and still on the edge to another. This causes a lot of problems for serious PvPers, and can change the outcome of a game. 2.) Design Decisions: From a PvP perspective, it's obvious Bioware has its head up its ***. I would almost sympathize with the team if they had never had any MMO experience, but we're dealing with people who worked on Warhammer (and look where that ended up). Decision on class changes have been abysmal in terms of balance. 3.) Game Design: Mirror classes are NOT mirror classes. The best example in this is Ammo vs Heat. It would almost be equal if it was proportional. By that, I mean having Ammo max out at 10 and Heat max out at 100. But no. Ammo is maxed out at 12, and Heat is maxed out at 100. Any player with half a brain can look at that and say, "Wait a minute, this doesn't seem right." If you're going to mirror classes, then -MIRROR- them. And this is only one of the glaring problems that exist between supposed "mirror" classes. 4.) Communication: On almost every major issue, three developers will communicate three different versions of a change. It takes about 100 replies to a thread to get a "confirmation" and an apology on the confusion for anything to be clarified. Regardless of the above, SWTOR isn't going down the drain anytime soon. The reason that is, however, isn't due to anything the game provides. The -only- reason this game will continue to stay afloat is because it's Star Wars. If this was some other fantasy setting, the game would tank in a year. That being said, I'm throwing in the towel. I'm unsubbing, and I'm moving on to better things. Better things made by better developers, by a better company, that isn't controlled by a ****** parent company.
  3. So I've heard this idea tossed around before, and I believe it was taken from another game. Regardless, I think that this set up would be a good fit for some of the problems seen where a game starts without full/even teams. Instead of the current popup of "Enter Warzone / Leave Warzone," a new popup would come up. It would say "A warzone has been prepared! Are you ready to enter? Yes / No." Upon clicking "Yes," you would then be placed in a one minute waiting queue. This queue will NOT start unless BOTH teams have the SAME number of people "readied" on both sides, with a minimum of 6 on both sides. Once it detects the system is ready, it would then immediately teleport all of those who were "ready" into the warzone. Anyone who clicked "no" would be pushed out of the queue, and their spot would be up for grabs for someone else. I realize this is NOT perfect by any means, but it is much better than the current system as far as ensuring games that start with at least 6 people, and even teams.
  4. Yeah, I'm just not sure if it's better overall for our damage output. I would imagine if you're running the FiB hybrid that includes 50% extra crit damage on doublestrike that it would be superior, though.
  5. As we all know, Rakata and Battlemaster gear will not transfer mods when you move the armoring mod around. With this in mind, it is then possible to transfer all of your PvP mods over to Rakata gear. Doing this would keep all of your stats exactly the same, but you would gain the benefits of the Rakata gear instead of the Battlemaster gear. For Stalkers, this means that a 4pc bonus would increase crit chance on Doublestrike and Clairvoyant strike by 15%. Assuming this actually works, would this not be better than our current 4pc?
  6. You get daily token in the form of Rakhgoul DNA Samples which can be turned in at the nearby vendor to the north/northwest for interesting items... including a new color crystal.
  7. How is this even possible? o.O http://i.imgur.com/4WMTt.jpg

    So close!!!

    Congratulations on losing, I guess?
  9. This seems like a no-brainer. Then again, it's Bioware.
  10. Name: Swiftar or Ardas Server: Saber of Exar Kun Faction: Republic Class: Shadow (Swiftar) Guardian (Ardas)
  11. COD and BF, in competitive environments, give all unlocks to the players.
  12. Having my PvP roots in the first five years of Ultima Online probably fuels this "**** Gear, All Skill" mindset I have. I'm rather excited that SWTOR and GW2 are taking steps to push PvP in that direction.
  13. Negative. Anyone who spend an ungodly amount of time can still show it off with aesthetics. But if "hardcore pvpers" can't beat "casual pvpers" when the gear level is equal, then perhaps the "hardcore pvpers" aren't as good as they thought.
  14. http://i.imgur.com/szDko.png Sorry. Wrong.
  15. The gear gap between Cent and Champ is steep. Itemization for Centurion is 10 less than Champion, which is 4 less than Battlemaster. However, acquisition of Champion (and furthermore BM after 1.1.5) is much quicker. Things -could- be better, but the way it is now actually works very well.
