  1. Several games have ended up implementing some form of changing your appearance after release. Hopefully Bioware ends up doing the same at some point in the future. For those who would take advantage of the system, it would be great. For those who wouldn't use it, well it's not going to impact you at all anyway.
  2. It's like an appearance tab for someone who doesn't want something as good as an appearance tab! Brilliant!!
  3. You're not allowed to be disgruntled or voice a complaint because it's launch day and you should expect everything to be terrible. If you don't, then you are a MMO noob who hasn't already had their expectations irrepairably marred by the MMO game industry to the point where you become an uncompromising apologist. That's the standard line, right? It's like we're all battered wives telling ourselves it's our fault for talking back.
  4. Personally I like that the leveling time isn't extremely high. This allows me to play the other classes and experience what their storylines have to offer, and for me MMOs generally don't really begin until the level cap anyway. By time I get there (I'm not a powerleveler per say), Bioware is likely to be in the position to start rolling out more and more end game content. It's all good to me.
  5. Eh. It's been clear from the beginning that Bioware never set out to add anything new or progress the genre forward from a technical stand point. They simply want to capitalize on existing systems and meet the minimum expectations. Whether that is viewed as a postive or negative thing is likely going to vary from person to person.
  6. The storylines themselves are well done. What I do have a problem with is the responses your character gives. From my experience so far with the bounty hunter, he seems a bit... slow-witted and repetitive. Ah well, I guess a dumb brute is a dumb brute.
  7. Before posting with such a condenscending tone, perhaps you should at least make sure you're saying something accurate. The fact is, there are current and upcoming MMOs that easily surpass TORs graphics (especially with regards to textures). Also, if you honestly think all the graphics from a MMO get transferred over your internet connection as you're playing then you are sadly mistaken. The game install takes up a load of GBs for a reason.
  8. Technology has yet to advance to this stage I'm afraid.
  9. - The bounty hunter's guard ability will drop off your companion everytime you go into a new zone. Also companions toggled abilities will drop everytime you zone or resummon them. - Auxiliary NPC conversations (hear them talking as you run by, etc) will persist long after you leave their area, and they will be at full volume. Even if you start a conversation with a quest giving NPC the previous overheard conversation will keep going. I don't know if this is a bug or a design flaw. - I haven't had a chance to reproduce it yet, but I was in a 2 man group with another bounty hunter, and I had him guarded. We both died, and after we got a medic it would not allow me to guard him again as it said he was already guarded. However, my toggle for guard was not lit up, and he had no buff icon to indicate he was actually guarded. I switched guard to my companion, then tried to go back to him and it still gave the message. - I've also experienced mobs dying and still standing up. - I've also experienced Mako's green healing spell effect persisting on your character until you log off and back on. - Dromund Kaas quest "Saving Face", if multiple people are doing the quest it will spawn the mobs all at once. So you end up with 2+ versions of the end boss running around killing everyone in sight. It really needs to be changed so only 1 stage of quest mobs can be active at one time.
  10. No, if he said it that way it would sound reasonable and not like some raving lunatic made the thread . That wouldn't support his point at all silly.
  11. No.. the point is that if other classes are balanced around companions, and this one is not, then once you get into instances and warzones that don't allow companions, you'll have one class who is substantially stronger than any other.
