  1. You can pretty much stop reading here.
  2. Guess which mmo's have gotten around this "problem" quite easily. (All of them except SWTOR) It's stupid. There's no arguing that it isn't. We're just going to have to wait for a fix from BW.
  3. I'm not even sure how you could do it there. I remember Hoth was when I really noticed how linear the game was. There were so many valleys and cliffs channeling me. I felt like someone literally made a skinny line and put all the quests and content on it, and then just bent the line all up and called it Hoth.
  4. Wrong. Think about what you are saying. Imagine yourself in that square. In one scenario it is open and you are free to move about in any way you choose. In the other, you are surrounded by walls. Which one makes you feel more closed in? Which one feels more like a real open world?
  5. I agree with the OP. People can defend the expansiveness of SWTOR all they want, but I cannot deny how closed in I have felt for the vast majority of this game. There are lots of planets with lots of space, but it is sort of an illusion. Everything they made is chock full of cliffs and valleys that channel you along a relatively narrow playing field. Say what you want about WoW, but I did like the feeling of being able to run straight south from Stormwind through woods and river to Darkshire. If it were like SWTOR, it would look like I could do that, but in reality I could only traverse one small road to get there. There should be more than one way to go from place to place in an MMO I believe. (Please don't say "then go back to WoW" or something. I really am trying to offer helpful suggestion for the game.)
  6. Yea I suppose there may be. My post was more out of surprise though. Even if there are bigger fish to fry, it seems like this shouldn't be that hard to fix right? I mean, it's like the central ui element of an mmo, and I haven't seen this be an issue for any of the other ones, and I think SWTOR is a lot better than most of those.
  7. Maybe it's because I only have one bar showing at a time?
  8. Sorry I thought more people would get what I was talking about with the CD. For example, if I have overload on bar three slot three, and death field on bar one slot three, and I use overload, then go back to looking at bar one, it will show the cooldown in slot three, making death field appear to be on cooldown, even though that is the cooldown for overload. Maybe not everyone experiences this? I know two people who play a BH who have noticed this issue as well though.
  9. Yes that's what I meant. I wasn't aware that people considered not being able to add friends when they aren't online intentional by BW. I am calling that a bug.
  10. It is broken for me and other people; there is nothing to screw up. Also, if you cannot see how cooldowns being shown across all skill bars regardless of which actual skill is on cd could be annoying, then you are a moron. I don't play a bounty hunter, and I have no idea how anyone could play only using three buttons whether they are a bounty hunter or not. Are you trying to defend the bug?
  11. Ok so I played a whole bunch at launch; stopped for a few weeks; came back and... the cooldown bug is still the same as always??? If you don't know what I'm talking about: If I use the skill on slot three of bar 2 and it goes on cooldown, then go back to bar 1, it will look like slot three of bar 1 (and every other bar) is on cd as well. Does this seem stupid to anyone else? Why is this so hard for them to fix? (Not to mention add friend is always broken, you all can probably think of other things).
  12. Out of everything in the entire game, this is actually the most annoying to me by far. That is not even an exaggeration. I am insanely aggravated that i can't stop the camera from automatically snapping behind me at all times.
  13. Not as important as many other issues, but I think "Being pigeon-holed into stupid looking lvl 50 pvp gear" is worth adding to the list of issues. They had a great mod system where you could look however you wanted, but apparently they thought it was a good idea to remove that at lvl 50.
  14. Wonderful modification options from levels 1-49 giving you the ability to heavily customize your appearance. Hit level 50 and you are forced to look like an idiot. It is unfathomable to me how no one at Bioware noticed this.
