  1. So I guess that I have no choice but to transfer all of the characters from one server, and then hope that at some point we'll be offered options for transferring all of my characters from the other server to a server other than Jedi Covenant. I hope they do offer a second round of options before they shut these near empty servers down. I'd hate to find my characters, all of which are in the same guild, scattered across several servers.
  2. My friends and I all have our characters divided among two servers. Our Empire characters are on Fort Garnik and our Republic characters are all on Khoonda Militia. Both servers are eligible to transfer to Jedi Covenant. But since we have a total of 12 characters on these two servers we can't transfer them all to Jedi Covenant. So now what?
  3. I've worked for a lot of American corporations in my life and not one of them ever did things this way. Then again, none of the corporations that I worked for ever lost 25% of their customers in less than 6 months time. So I don't know, maybe we were doing it wrong?

  5. The folks at Jupiter Broadcasting are now doing TORked, The SWTOR Video Podcast with UNLIMITED POWER!!! Here's the link to episode 4: A Heart of Credits. http://www.jupiterbroadcasting.com/18828/a-heart-of-credits-torked-4/ "We weigh in on the strengths and weakness of the Bounty Hunter and Smuggler Class, how they fit into the MMO Trinity, and how we play them. Plus we live play and review the Rakghoul Plague Outbreak, reflect on the 1.2 patch, 1.2.a’s outage, and gaze at the forum rage!" TORked is recorded live every Monday at 5PM Pacific at: jblive.tv
  6. Great episode with lots of good information for people who aren't "MMO elite." It's good that the sound quality has been improved over the first episode too.
  7. Not bad at all for a first episode. Having Nikki and Heather together on one podcast is going to be interesting. Now I'm looking forward to that in depth discussion about companions.
  8. Is anything being done to fix bugged class quests that completely prevent advancement in the class storyline? Troopers especially are experiencing this problem as outlined in this thread: Class Quests Broken - Unable to Advance Class Storyline
  9. Any ETA on when the broken class quests, that prevent character advancement, will be fixed?
  10. I'm a life-long Trekkie and a pre-launch lifetime subscriber to Star Trek Online. At launch, STO was a buggy and broken mess. Like most MMOs, only worse. The UI was so horribad that unmovable pop-ups in mid-combat would get you killed. The maps are tiny, full of holes that you and your bridge officers (think companion characters only far stupider) can fall through. By the STO Dev's own admission most of their maps are barely finished, most of the buildings, mountains and other large objects not having rooftops and often no backsides either. Many powers were either buggy and/or overpowered. At launch, Viral Matrix (a space power) could render a character completely unplayable for minutes or even hours if stacked correctly by PvPers. STO, like TOR, has two factions. Starfleet and the Klingon Defense Force. At launch Starfleet had less than 60 story arc missions. The KDF had none. Since launch the STO devs have changed their statements and exaggerated others and even out right lied to the community repeatedly. And while gameplay has been much improved over the last 2 years, the game itself is still a buggy and broken mess. Starfleet now has a whole 70 some missions, and the KDF has 24. That's it. Think about that for a second. In TOR the maximum number of missions that you can have in your mission journal is 25, and I've hit that cap a time or two. In STO the Empire doesn't even have that many missions in the whole game. So yeah, go download STO and give it a shot. And in a week, two at the most, when you've played every mission in the game at least twice then come on back and let us know how you liked it. 11. Are there any plans to introduce actual speeders, and/or vehicles that multiple players can ride in, to TOR?
  12. The Empire is the bad guys, period. They are <insert famous fascist empire that started WW2> in space. The Empire has slaves, is racist (against non-humans), doesn't give its citizens basic human rights, commits violent and brutal acts on a daily basis. They are the bad guys! It'd be silly if the bad guys weren't shown doing bad things. The fact that they are so obviously the bad guys, and that they're shown doing bad things, is what makes fighting against them so heroic. Fighting against them is what makes your Republic characters heroes. One of the major complaints with another MMO, City of Villains, was that the villain characters couldn't be villainous enough. Since the villains weren't really villains it called into question whether the heroes were really heroic. You can't have heroic heroes without having villainous villains for them to fight against.
  13. Hey all! CoH/V vet here myself. Freedom, Liberty and Victory servers. Cancelled my subscription a year or so ago, but I still log in and play CoH/V everyone once in a while, now that it's gone free-to-play. My whole gaming group and I play on Khoonda Militia (Black Bisectors League) and Fort Garnik (Children of the Empire) servers. I'm really enjoying TOR. I do miss having a real travel power every once in a while though.
  14. Do you have any plans to add a User Generated Content system to SWTOR, such as City of Heroes' Mission Architect or Star Trek Online's Foundry?
  15. Imperial Trooper and Republic Agent. Two classes I'd love to play!
  16. Trooper Vanguard. I always put Guard on my teammate, a Jedi Knight Sentinel. If I die then Guard is no longer on him and I cannot ever put it on him. I can put it on other players and companion characters, but never back on the Jedi Knight Sentinel. Like the others I keep getting the message "This target is already guarded", but he's not. I can never again guard him unless we zone to another world or I log off and back on again.
  17. Some of the class quests are bugged, completely preventing us from continuing the class storyline. My Friend, who plays a Jedi Knight Sentinel, has the level 32 class quest to talk to Master Satele Shan in the Jedi Council chamber, but every time he clicks on the door he gets the message, "The council is not in session." On my Trooper Vanguard, I have the level 32 class quest Inconspicuous Valor. Whenever I travel to the Justice it says that I'm ineligible to enter my own class quest phase. I've seen other Troopers having the same problem as well, so I know it's not just me. So my question is: Is anyone looking into fixing these class quest bugs that prevent players from advancing their class storyline?
  18. I would love to see this in game. Of course, then they'd actually have to add real speeders to the game first. I have to admit the lack of actual speeders, instead of the souped-up segways, has been the only thing about the game that has disappointed me. Oh and, hello again Darren!
  19. One - The game launched less than a month ago. It's very possible that this encounter isn't balanced the way the devs want it to be. Send in a bug report about it. Two - Bring friends. That's what I did and I had no problems beating her and advancing. Perhaps you've heard that this is an MMO? That means that whenever you're in game other people are as well. Three - There's no 'e' in ridiculous.
  20. Ah, that's too bad. A Gor style story about Vette first being broken by, and then falling for, her Sith lord master could be interesting. If done right. I do look forward to reading your story in any event.
