  1. You need UWT (Underworld Trading) to make cybertech ship parts. You can keep your setup but you will be forced to buy the UWT goods with cash. Slicing will help offset that cost however. You could also make an alt with UWT.
  2. There is a nearly 90 page thread on this here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=569897&page=89 Despite a dev response (pg 55)... 1.6.1 hit with no changes. If they are looking for a better solution, they should raise the CC price in the meantime. Let's see if we can get to 100 pages, and maybe something will change. /holds breath
  3. Bug still present - I traveled via Legacy Priority Transport: Capitol World. Ticket submitted. Thanks to the above for the solution.
  4. Thanks again for your help all. I couldn't find a medium crafted piece for general use on the Imperial side, but here's what I did find: Social: Ulgo Noble (Alderaan Social 3) - Red band with goldish triangle Voss Mystic (Voss social 4) - silver swoosh no jewel Light: Rumination Headgear (Nar Shadaa Comms) - blue-silver w/ red jewel Traditional Thermoweave Headgear (crafted) - blue-silver w/ blue jewel Forcebound Adept's Cowl / Headgear of Dark Promise (lvl 40 pvp INQ) - silver band + red accents Headgear of Dark Demise / Inviorating Assault (lvl 40 pvp INQ) - same as above all red
  5. Until the devs add "hide helmet" option for our companions, I'm looking for some minimal-appearance helmets that I can modify. I've found some player-made circlets, but they were class restricted. Does anyone know of any minimal-appearance circlets / headbands / glasses that I could equip on my companions? Thanks in advance!
  6. With every class in SWTOR, you should only use as much Accuracy as you need. At level 50 this is 0-3 enhancements and you're good to go.
  7. Act 1 was very good. However, I just finished Act 2 on my Trooper last night, and the finale was freakin spectacular... Probably the best action-based moments in SWTOR class quests I've encountered so far. I would play a whole game just like that. I have a 50 IA too and that class quest line was more consistently good imho, but in a different way.
  8. Enemies seeing you in stealth is all about your level vs theirs. So, you can sneak by lower-level mobs quite easily but higher level ones will see you farther out. At level 22 you'll get Sneak. Use it liberally. Happy Huntings.
  9. 1.) Character transfers to the server of my choice. 2.) GTN / crafting UI improvements 3.) Continued Class storylines
  10. Why not use 2x WH Relic of Boundless Ages? 113 pwr > 80 cunning and 4 crit.
  11. The suggested price is based on what a vendor would buy the item for multiplied by a factor. I believe that factor is 3. As to selling mats, just post them! Generally, you can break a full stack up to, say 10 at a time, and sell those smaller stacks for slightly more money. The offset is GTN management. IE: sell them cheap or sell them easy.
  12. I'm going to join the crowd on this one. UCKFred had the best new CT idea I've heard in a long time.
  13. Just to provide some context, the devs made that statement as reasoning why there aren't more craftable items in the game for certain tradeskills (defensive mods for CT's, specifically). I don't know of anyone who has ran into a limit given the available recipes in game... if so, Houston, we have a problem.
  14. Click the gear icon and you can select a higher resolution. Also full screening might help.
  15. Medic / Conceal Hybrid spec does wonders leveling. At 50 you might need to make a choice if you want to get into HM groups / Ops / RWZ however.
  16. I would disagree with the above poster. I just started a new toon on a different server (almost lvl 40), who's crafting just above level, and I have a speeder, all skills current, and 250k in the bank. Some tips: 1.) Harvest those mats you can from planets, instead of running missions. 2.) If you can't resist the GTN, buy harvesting missions if the price is right. This can be much cheaper than buying mats individually. 3.) If you're soloing, do the side quests. I do them all, but I've only done one or two of the planetary bonus series. 4.) Sell on the GTN. Now that server pops are healthier, even green gear drops sells at a descent rate. I list all green gear at the default price for one round (2 days) before vendoring it. You can also sell stuff you craft, but watch the market to see where your time is best spent. 5.) Don't buy very much gear as you level. You should be decently setup from just quest rewards, planetary comm purchases, and your crafting. Also, pick one or two companions that make sense; you don't need to gear up the others. 6.) If you like to do them, Pvp and space combat can generate #7's, and pvp provides gear. 7.) If you're a descent player you should be able to solo Heroic 2's with your companion while they are green, and heroic 4's once grey. Lots of credits can be made in those. Happy huntings!
  17. I run a similar build it is lots of fun if you can change gears quickly from "utility" to "heals". In my experience it doesn't top the WZ leaderboards much, but if you play smart you can really affect a win for your team. Good players will notice that and give you votes. I spent 23 pts in the medic tree for tox screen tho (23/18/0). Removing dots/debuffs on yourself and others is critical. YMMV.
  18. Cybertech can still craft BoP reusable grenades... They have a long cooldown tho, so situationally useful at best... Probably better in pvp than pve, where a well-timed AE slow grenade can sometimes win a Hutball match.
  19. Full auto is also your friend. But the above poster is correct, you'll need to manage it. Imperial Agents/smugglers are even worse as they have an additional mechanic (tactical advantage) to worry about, so don't play those if the trooper's ammo mechanic frustrates you.
  20. In short, it's not that bad... and dps/hybrid ops are a blast to play. You'll be able to do all solo content, flashpoints, and if you're good you'll be very valuable in WZ's (from a win/loss perspective, not pure #'s) However, if at lvl 50 you want to get into the hard Ops (raids) or Ranked WZ, people tend to get real competitive... Since your damage will be 5-10% less than other pure dps classes, people may ask you to convert to a healing spec. There you have it.
  21. Well, if one-night stands are your thing,
  22. Bazzoong nailed it. For more details a forum poster named Rizael did all the work in the post below. Nothing in 1.3 changed his analysis afaik except for making the WH +power relics better: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=414429
  23. The BM gear has the set bonuses tied to the shell. The WH gear has the set bonuses tied to the armoring modifications. So, buy the WH gear, strip out the mods, then dress for success.
  24. That is a bug that's been around awhile... It has to do with using stealth. Unfortunately, this means using Lokin's RG form as an operative is pretty much out. You would be best advised to /bug in-game and post in the suggestions forum, then pray for a fix someday. I wish I had a better answer...
