  1. Welp. Least you aren't getting hit for 10 k mauls by my shadow. I mean it takes like 10 seconds to kill you (if you pop all your defensive cooldowns). Other classes not so much lol The 51 point talent is VERY nice for the commando/merc if you haven't got it yet and makes the class much better in certain 1 v 1's.
  2. I don't know man. Commando/Mercs can put up some serious damage and that heavy armor is helping against this burst. They are not bad in group play at all. 1 v 1? Yeah they suck.
  3. DPS scoundrel/op. Why? Shadow/sin infiltration is better in just about every way possible and can kill the scoundrel/op without losing any health. When one stealth class counters another stealth class and that class has no counter? The other stealth class becomes useless. I play both classes. I may stop playing scoundrel all together. When I see a scoundrel defending on my shadow, it is a free kill and my node. If it is the other way around and I am defending? The scoundrel is dead even with an opener (and that is the only opener he will ever get if I know he is there and also use improved stealth). Scoundrel/op may be the only class that is just useless in 2.0 as anything but a healer, and sages/sorcs are looking much better at that to be honest. Best class? Shadow/sin multiple specs. Then sniper. Then a bunch lumped in together, with sorc/sage prob being the best dps/heal hybrid.
  4. Pot5 server Sniper (deathjester) - This class is good. Really good. I think the see stealth thing needs to go however. This class is a super hard counter to jk/sw melee. The see stealth thing negates a big part of this classes counter. It is way too easy to put your back to a wall/object and throw a dot on a scoundrel/op to completely screw them over. Other then that, yes it is a strong class, and yes it has counters (provided this idiotic see stealth thing goes). It might also prevent people from flocking to the MM tree, over other trees. MM with the see stealth thing? Is just too good. If you don't remove it completely, perhaps you could put the see stealth ability in engineering or lethality. Engineering is a lot of fun btw, for those who haven't tried it. Another option might be making the cone like 10 yards max. I still think the better solution is to get rid of the skill all together though. They didn't need this. It screws over one class and one class only and that class is already weaker then the other stealth class (will get into this later). Marauder (Bruce-campbell)- I have tried all three specs. Carnage seems fine for GROUP play, rage is fine and I am glad it has such a hard counter now, because the bad players will quit the class (too populated). Annihilation. I can often do well with this spec but it has some problems. Everyone got more mobility and this spec got nothing. I don't see even the die hard annihilation people playing it in 2.0. Carnage furthered the gap in group play (30 stack out of combat/80 percent speed), and rage is still a great solo spec. Dot protection or a speed buff proc, something. This spec needs a little love. I know there is a lot of marauder/sent hate (how can you say a spec needs buffed when marauders/sents are so good), but I am thinking this spec can be improved with time. It doesn't need to be immediate or anything. Fix other classes first. Scoundrel (Liu-kang). Scrapper is getting better (dmg is fine), but still a poor mans sin/shadow (which i also play and will review). Healing anyone else, is worthless due to self kiting/needing energy for rolls. Shadow can taunt (which is HUGE). Scoundrel is tied to their opener (getting rid of the new sniper talent would help this class), shadow is not. My shadow gets 12 seconds of 25 percent less dmg out of stealth (back to back blackout), not including dmg reduction talents that scrapper scoundrel doesn't have. Shield probe on a scoundrel? Sucks. Recuperate was made a 2 min cooldown. Why? This only helps in 1 v 's which they were fine in, except against shadow. This class now has LESS staying power then it did pre 2.0. Also why the hell does my backblast hit for 3 k less then my shadow strike (maul) when it is on a freakin 12 second cooldown. I see ZERO reason to play this class over a shadow atm. You are never going to get the opener on a shadow (with half a brain) and they clownstomp you out of stealth. You can't go immune to their breach/project that can hit for half your life, but they can go immune to everything you do. When one stealth class completely counters the other AND beats everything else 1 v 1? There is a problem. Shadow (Bruce-Lee) This class is OP. Do I love it? Yeah this class is a freaking BLAST to play and was before 2.0. It is my current favorite class to play. Maul/shadowstrike needs toned down though. It is hitting WAY too hard. As far as the "cloth" defense? No this class is not cloth. This class has 25 percent mitigation for 12 seconds coming out of stealth, with other dmg reduction talents that make it BETTER then medium armor (reduction against ALL damage). My last few games on my shadow I haven't died...at all. This was while leading dmg, or taking on 2 people at a time and killing them with ease. Operatives? They can't even damage me before they are gunned down. If they vanish, i am pushing them out. IF they go immune to maul, I kill them with spells that burst as hard as a shoot first/backblast. An even BIGGER problem I see is maul hitting this hard with a 12/31/3 spec (take defensive crap so force running out isn't as much of an issue). This spec can burst harder then a freakin operative/scoundrel in TANK STANCE, while having root removal on their sprint and 5 second immunity to force/tech. The mitigation is also just silly for how much damage the spec can put out. Blackout simply shouldn't work with this spec and should be tied to shadow technique. How to fix it. Scoundrel/op needs SOMETHING to make the shadow/op fight even remotely close. Otherwise one stealth class is completely useless. If shadow pve dmg is too low? I don't know. Make Shadow technique proc more. All I know is maul is hitting way too freakin hard. I tried to play it off like maybe this isn't op, but it is. The difference between my scoundrel and shadow is night and day. My scoundrel feels almost useless compared to my shadow. Other classes. All the other classes are putting up some very nice damage. It "feels" like sorc/sage healing is a little too strong compared to the others (in a group setting), but it is probably a bit too early to tell. Anyways feel free to hate. I will be solo queuing on Pot5 tonight.
  5. Might want to try reading what the devs have said. They said pve gear will be "recruit like", and pvp gear will be best in slot. If it isn't currently that way at 55? It will be fixed. As far as the pre 55 thing? Doesn't matter. No one will have ewh/wh 50 gear. It isn't available, and why the hell would Bioware/EA make that best in slot by a fair margin for 30-54? Then people could skip on the expansion and stay at 50 forever with gear other people can't obtain. It isn't hard to figure out why the won't allow that... 1) the game is balanced with new abilities past 50 2) they don't want people farming/griefing new subs. 3) they want to make money, aka you buying the expansion. Why do you think they moved talents UP in trees. WoW did the same thing.
  6. And? A sniper can beat jk/warrior melee without losing any health. What is your point? Oh I know all about your class. I "main" a sniper, marauder, scoundrel, shadow. It isn't hard. I wear the sniper gear (gree legacy) on the scoundrel, since the set bonus is trash. PvP gear is stupidly easy to get in this game. It doesn't mean I never leveled or played trooper (played both ac's)/sage. Sage and commando were both boring as hell. I have played since early beta. Vanguard was even more boring. I am sorry but spamming a button and waiting for a proc isn't my idea of fun, which is what most of those specs have in common. Commando is a little bit more fun now, but sniper (when I am bored enough to play range) is more fun. If you want to 1 v 1 people as ranged? Make a sniper. Then get mad when stealth kill you. Is the scoundrel/op-infiltration/deception sin/shadow gap a little too big? Sure. It needs toned a little bit (shadow/sin). Even if they nerf it to pre 2.0 levels though (not going to happen cus everyone got new stuff)? I killed every class just as easily one on one with my shadow as infiltration. That is just what the spec does. You are obviously unhappy with your class. Roll a new one. It isn't hard... Commandos and mercs are fine in GROUP play though. As far as "blah blah" shuts me down. Everyone gets "shut down". What the hell do you think snipers do to marauders. Do I think the burst on backstab is going to stay with the new proc system? Nope. Even when they nerf it a bit though? That class is still going to kill your commando and just about every class just as quick. In fact the commando lasts LONGER then most classes (heavy armor vs maul). When a shadow gets focused he drops quick. Not as quick as an operative/scoundrel (they need better survival), but they drop quick. A merc/commando does NOT in group play with heals/taunts. Your class is better in some areas of of the game and shadow is better in others.If you are a solo queuer? Yeah commando might be a bad choice.
  7. How did they screw long time subs? WH/EWH is going to be the best at 55. You will STILL have a gear edge. They have said this, I don't know like 500000000 times? The only complaint you could have is low level warzones. Gear shouldn't matter until endgame. It was stupid. Who the hell in their right mind is going to spend a 500 k every few levels just to compete with no skill, scum twinks? Not to mention? As a vet you have another advantage. Heal pots/adrenals. You know about these and new players don't. You also know (I hope) how to play your class. Can a new player afford heal pots/adrenals? Nope they sell them IF they even know about them. Can they afford twink gear? Nope. They had no chance. Twinks were killing the game. Now if you are someone who doesn't want to buy the expansion and just wanted to farm kids forever at 50? Sorry ain't gonna happen. That would be the worst business model in the world. You can't twink anymore, get over it. Everything else is the same with the exception that "recruit gear" might be a little better. The naked bolster thing? They are fixing that.

  9. Horrible idea. There is NOTHING wrong with pvp till 55 atm. Nothing at all. Bioware does not want "twinks" back. Why the hell would they want tools making new players quit by have 1/3rd more health and over twice the base dmg/bonus dmg again? They want to gain subs not lose them...No skill twinks cause players to leave the game. Want to pick on someone who has no chance to fight back? Go to tattoine and kill low levels. They have as much chance against you as a new player would have against a twink who has augments BIS epics and heal pots/adrenals. Now if you want to talk about the 55 bracket and pvp gear being best in slot (it should be), then some of us might care. You can be 55 in half a day. No one is forcing you to play lowbie pvp where gear doesn't matter. If you can't pvp with a gear edge (and you will have one at 55, though it might not be what it used to) and could only pvp with the old days of twinking? Quit the game. Go play Hello Kitty online. You hurt the game, the REAL pvp players hate you, and we are sick of the whining. I have no idea what makes you think they give a damn about the 20 of you crying on the boards 24/7 when the WZ's are packed and new players can actually have fun in this game, which makes them want to sub, which means a better game for all of us (mo money). I love how you people hide the REAL reason (twinking) behind veiled CRAP, such as blah blah I worked hard for this gear (no you didn't), and the insane idea that Bioware isn't going to make PVP GEAR the best gear for PVP at 55. They said naked bolster is being fixed. No one will have 50 pvp gear in a few months, pvp gear will be best at 55. Devs said all of this. Add to all this? If you thought they were going to let you not buy the expansion and farm kids all day in level 50 pvp gear? You are freakin delusional.
  10. If you don't think usually topping damage with hybrid sorc is "fine", then what is it that you want? Beat everyone 1 v 1 AND top damage? Melee is always harder to play for the simple reason that you are hitting just as many (in some cases more) keys WHILE moving and chasing a target. The only way ranged is harder is if you have complex combos, or more keys. That isn't the case in this game. The only class that can say as much is sniper/slinger and I can derp it up and top dmg on a sniper. BTW sniper doesn't beat people 1 v 1 all the time either. They die to stealth a hell of a lot quicker then mercs/sorcs. Their shield blocks ZERO tech damage, which means a scoundrel can kill them with a cleanse roll (on the knockback), quicker then you can imagine. In turn scoundrels/op's kill sorcs much slower (shield auto messes them on opener) and sins/shadow excel at killing sorcs/sages. Sorc/sages and mercs aren't meant to beat people one on one. They are EXTREMELY high damage ranged classes with simple rotations and unique utility (stealthscan/bubbles/friendly pull). They are probably the easiest classes in this game to lead damage on in a warzone. To do so they give up some things. A 1 v 1 toolkit. Sorcs/mercs simply weren't made to solo nodes. They were made to either be healers, or fantastic dps in a GROUP. Since this is a group game, with group combat? I would say they are just fine. Now if you want a "dueler" ranged class make a sniper. But...if you think dying to stealth now is bad? You are going to hate them even more on that class hehe. You will however counter the @#$^ out of JK/SW melee.
  11. It did change a bit now that you only have to hit grav round ONCE. Before? Yes you needed to fakecast ALOT. You might be surprised at how bad some melee are. Often times they will interrupt the first thing they see. Which lets you full auto their face off. Sins/scoundrels counter everyone 1 v 1. It is the way the game was designed. What they don't do is a ton of aoe dmg, a healing debuff, or kill a tank fast enough to prevent him from getting help. They usually don't top damage either, unless the players in that warzone are bad. Not saying they can't, I do all the time, but I can do that much more easily with my sniper and pull much higher numbers.
  12. You play a class that can do as much burst from range, without needing to position yourself behind a target, or stealth up to the target. Learn to use stealth scan, and to not solo nodes. Your class wasn't made to 1 v 1 people and ninja nodes/protect them. It was made so average players could stand in one spot and press a few buttons and top WZ dmg. Both classes are working as intended. Want to 1 v 1 people? Play a class designed for it, with many more buttons, and a higher skill cap needed to play it. When you do LESS damage in the warzone on the shadow/sin then the commando? Come back here and say you were wrong. Thanks in advance! P.S. If you are unable to top or come near topping damage on a arsenal merc right now? I don't know what to say. They are tearing it up right now in the role they were designed for. The commando merc/commando has many tools that can counter stealth and make other classes lives a living hell. Try using them, instead of just using the basic rotation that was intended only to allow you to compete. I have seen maybe 1 commando/merc fake cast me...ever. That in itself is a joke. The only class that might be played worse are sorcs, and when they are played well they are devastating in 2.0. I am not surprised that another whine thread on this front page was about Sage being bad... The funny thing? 1 v 1 completely falls apart with tank/heals/guard/taunt. Shadow/sins will prob be speccing 12/31/3 for ranked. Now that spec? You might have some basis to complain about lol. A glass cannon 1 v 1 spec? No...
  13. And you are biased in favor of ducks and you watch Howard the Duck 7 times a week and think it is the greatest movie of all time. This account was made when the game was first announced, and I have made many posts criticizing this game in the past. I see you can't argue any points I made, and I pointed out just how wrong the OP was using a class example. He gave no examples, and instead made the insane claim that a class with less mitigation abilities, abilities, instant proc abilities and a 4 pcs set bonus is worse off then a class who has one attack that hits harder. This might be true if my German Shepherd Dog was playing the class, or you. In fact I would put my money on my dog in that contest. If the player has any skill whatsover? The higher level with 4pcs bonus is superior on almost all classes. If you are as bad as the OP? I have a solution for you. Make lowbie alts and never get them to high level. Then you can somewhat compete in this game. You can post awesome screenshots of you being like 3rd in damage pressing the snipe button, while a 50 sniper with a clue does 300 more k damage then you...

  15. You forgot spinning strike (guarantees a big hitting maul), another melee ability (grants charges), and breach, oh and potency, project then the execure. But yeah I guess you could call that spam. Don't forget to use low slash every 15 seconds as well as that resets proc on another proc. Oh yeah you better use blackout or snipers are seeing you from 30 yards away, then back to back it or get blowed up, and or run out of force. Then there is an ability to kite with (throwing rocks), and of course you slow them before that, and then there is a longer cooldown that makes you hit harder on technique and heals a bit. I am not saying sins/shadows are "super hard", but they are as complex as anything else this game has to offer. Could you enlighten me on the complex arsenal merc rotation? I am sure it is insanely complex and since it is done while STANDING STILL, I am sure that makes it much more complicated. L O L

    Uh are you talking about the immunity? Why the hell would you be able to go immune for 10 seconds while holding the ball lol. That would be like letting op's vanish... Sorcs are a ranged class that can friendly grip. They are one of the BEST huttball classes already. As far as sin's/shadow's complaining about op's? Why? I play both classes. Infiltration is so much better then operative/scoundrel right now it isn't funny. At least the roll gives them SOMETHING. I think the only reason I still log on Liu-kang is the shotgun noise lol. My shadow takes less dmg coming out of stealth, bursts the same, isn't tied to an opener, and can go immune to everything (that matters). I would have ZERO chance beating my shadow on my scoundrel. It simply isn't possible. One can go immune to the other classes burst, one can only stop melee (which is only half of a infiltration shadows dmg). One is tied to an opener (they will never get vs a shadow) and the other can rock your world out of stealth. One can instagib people on bridges/traps, one can't. Op/scoundrel has a few things going for it. AOE CC and roll. Take those away? No one would play one over a shadow.
  17. Why are you crying if you are @#$@%@# people up? I just played 2 games with my shadow in 5pcs (unequipped relics and legacy belt/wrists that had pve armoring). Died zero times, got a 9 k crit. Took on multiple sins at once as infiltration and downed them easily. Granted Sin/shadow is one of the worst played classes and these idiots didn't use their blackout and accused me of cheating (seeing them in stealth lol), but I am having zero problems in pvp gear. Last night on marauder in 5 pcs? I got a achievement in Civil war for 5 solo kills in a match. My LOL MM sniper? Did 500 k in half a void star that I joined that my team was losing, with people leaving left and right. That class is a freakin joke as to how good it is right now, but whatever, I guess I am supposed to cry over lowbies having the same health with no pvp bonuses? OMG a lowbie's snipe hits harder. Can he follow up after every shot? Can he series of shot reset and pwn the @%#@ out of someone? Nope. There is NOTHING wrong with the current system. The devs have said numerous times they want pvp gear to be the BEST gear at 55 (all that matters). If it isn't working correctly they are going to fix it. You ARE going to have an advantage and on MOST classes you do now due to the 4pcs set bonus. If you really think people are going to have higher base dmg at 55 and more health/expertise then a EWH set you are crazy. It might be closer to a 10-20 percent advantage (not including set bonuses which are OP as hell on some classes) then the insanely stupid high advantage you had pre 2.0, but you are still going to have better stuff. I mean what did recruits have like 700 dmg and 300 bonus dmg compared to people with 1/3rd more health, 1200 dmg and over 600 bonus dmg AND set bonuses? LOL. Yeah guess what that led to, people crying about burst classes, and those burst classes (in the case of a scoundrel) being over nerfed (they seem to be better in 2.0). As far as the under 55 bracket? It is perfect. Gear shouldn't mean JACK until endgame. If it does, you are just going to have no skill twinks who ruin the game for new players and hurt the games growth. Those people are SCUM, and those are the people who are complaining about this the most. I HOPE they quit. They bring nothing to this game or community. They are trash. If they stay? They can go kill level 20's on Tatooine, but karma is gonna bite them in the !$# cus I am going to kill those idiots when they are doing their 55 dalies.
  18. Have fun with WoW brah. After months of their new expansion, they have awesome balance like this, done with one shot macros named "get @%#^ on". Truly a fun, skill based game... HAHAHAHAHA...and you idiots think smash is bad. BTW WoW is copying the "gear doesn't matter as much thing" from SWTOR and is limiting how many healers can enter a Warzone. So yeah. You and no skill will fail there also.
  19. Sentinels/marauders don't kill them. For the same reason snipers don't kill scoundrels/operatives. The only change I don't understand is the see stealth thing for snipers. The roll? Whatever. They didn't need it , but whatever. The see stealth thing? Dumbest change in 2.0. It should simply be taken out of the game. There is already a metric !$@# ton of aoe flying around, see stealth talents etc, that will get someone out of cover. I have seen stealth from max range on my sniper and it is just stupid. An op/scoundrel completely relies on his opener and that makes shadow/sin a MUCH superior stealth class, because they aren't tied to the opener. All the other crap they gave snipers? I can only imagine they did it, because the class wasn't mass rolled. When it is? It will prob be toned down a bit. The anti stealth thing though? Total crap. It needs to go.
  20. Have had this happen occasionally on my sniper (you can't take cover). The fix was weird. The f button (which I had bound to entrench) would fix it. The F button I think is somehow hard bound to cover. Whether this will work on the sorc/sage? I don't know. But I thought I would throw it out there. The f button seems weird. My ravage bugs on it often on the marauder. For some reason it works perfectly on my shadow, scoundrel. /stuck might also fix it Anyways hope this helps.
  21. Yup, if it wasn't for sin's/scoundrels we would have ZERO counter. and even then they are only are counter if they make it their mission in that warzone just to focus on us. If we get the drop on them out of stealth? They are dead just as quick.
  22. 1 v 1 class is a 1 v 1 class. I can kill you from 35 yards away on my sniper without you knowing *** just happened just as quick. No positional requirement. No need to stealth up to the target, just no skill button mashing as I stand in one spot. And you can't CC me, charge me or do anything. Oh yeah. I can do it again and again and again. Leave it to the forum kids to complain about stealth though lol. They will ask for nerfs on scoundrels/op's next. Let me guess. Op rolled a sniper/slinger and somehow fails at this class?
  23. A) this game has a niche atm. It allows an average joe to get good gear, while being able to raid (raiding is the one thing this game seems to do very well). They can have a life and sitll compete in pvp and raiding. THAT is what this game has going for it. You can also gear alts. This is fantastic and is another reason people like this game. B) Even WoW is now laughed at due to support classes and endless nerf/buffs fotm classes. Top money players like Reckful say the game is trash C) Unless the game is developed from the ground up to not have stupidly OP "support classes" *cough* Guild Wars 2, no one cares about it as far as ranked. Trying to make this game GW2 (when it isn't designed that way), would only alienate the people who sub to this game, BECAUSE it is not WoW (have no life if raiding and pvp'ing) or GW2 (you can be an average player and make a healer, and team with an average player tank, and a average dps and steamroll kids in non rated). No one is EVER going to care about the pvp in this game outside the players themselves. The only really cool thing this game has is huttball. Why the hell would EA/Bioware tick off the playerbase by forcing them to play FOTM classes, and pigeonholed roles (that everyone would figure out and copy within a month), just to get top pvp gear? Then you are WoW, without arena, which gives 3 friends the option to skip the bloated requirement, cluster@$#%@ ranked and out skill people 3 v 3. This game wasn't designed around 3 v 3 or PvP. This is a PVE game with one dude in charge of PvP changes (lol). Now go take that Boss attitude to GW2. You are playing against keyboard turners in ranked here...

WoW was a E-sport for awhile and still is to some extent IN ARENA ONLY, because the entry isn't as high. 1 healer per 2 dps. No one gives a damn about ranked battlegrounds in WoW for a reason. Everyone stacks healers, for the same reason people would stack taunting/aoe taunt dps and heals/tanks. You actually think ranked is even popular or that a lot of GOOD players are even doing it. They aren't. Why? Because it is stupid in this game. Tanks/heals are even more stupidly OP as "support classes" then WoW. Hell half the realms in this game probably don't have more then 1 team even queuing half the time lol, so you are the "boss of nothing". I can just see them televising this game as an esport. Here we have the assassin camera. He is of course hybrid specced. Oh look someone is heading towards his node, he might have to call for help and randomly press buttons for 30 seconds until support arrives from the carnage marauder sprinting everyone! 99 percent of the time the assassin cam would be the same as the blood dk cam was in WoW rated. Standing on a node doing nothing. Sounds AWESOME. Maybe with Disney owning SW now, ESPN will pick it up brah.
