  1. The Kestrels are still around. We are a relaxed bunch of a mature and social players, focused mainly on RP. We have our homey stronghold, or Nest if you like, on Tatooine, and the Talon (our guildship) is serving as a meeting place at the fleet for now, with an ongoing event chain to bring it into our roleplay. We have mumble. We team up for PvE content from time to time, and we are trying to get back to doing operations, aiming for a Story Mode operation every other week. PvP is done on a irregular basis with players interested banding together. (We've done PvP events before and they might return with enough interest.) Our focus is still on enjoying the game in a social and fun way, rather than being hard progression guild.
  2. It's not exactly like this will interest every PvPer while someone who has no interest in regular PvP is guaranteed to have no interest in this. I don't care for the PvP in SWTOR but I will definitely be playing this. That said, Bioware, know this, I expect you to have singeplayer and possibly coop PvE missions for this as well, not necessarily for the release of this but at some point and not a year after this.
  3. Why not just do that? If it worked before what's wrong with doing it now?
  4. Think it's just Darth Commonsense as you called it. You keep an unlocked species if you remove the character that you unlocked it with so I can't imagine changing species would be different.
  5. There are chest pieces in the game that doesn't have identical arms so it should be possible for the hands as well, but that's purely based on logic, maybe the engine can't do it. Anyone who play a Sith Warrior, especially if speced as a Juggernaut can be a cyborg without picking that 'species'. Higher level Juggernaut armour is filled with cyborg looking armour pieces, kind of renders your whole argument moot since it is for some possible to be a cyborg without picking cyborg.
  6. The class specific story ends on Corellia. The planetary storyline of Ilum leads you through the planet and ends the story with two flashpoints, Battle for Ilum and The False Emperor. If you buy Rise of the Hutt Cartel that storyline can be started from your ship holocomm, not quite sure if you need to hit 50, just finish the class story or whatever to be able to start the RotHC storyline but it should be something like that.
  7. I'll just throw it out there but I must say I find that explanation incredibly hard to believe. Why? Well because if tracking a couple of more missions would have such an impact on game performance shouldn't the huge achievement system with all the data it contains have had a similar effect, same goes for the codex which has to track what codex entries each character has.
  8. So, yea, am I missing something? Artifice has always been able to make aim based shields and generators before but above 400 crafting skill I'm only given strength and willpower based shields, two for each stat for lvl 52 and two for each for lvl 54. Where's the aim shields?!
  9. Keep in mind, the percentage value is not success rate, it's 20% percent chance for each and every RE you do, it doesn't care about previous attempts.
  10. Yes, linkable crew skills please! We can already view the schematics of anyone close to us, why you can't link it or see it for any (online) guild-member straight from the guild roster is beyond me, seems like an obvious extension of the functionality we do have.
  11. Guild Type: Social, Roleplay Guild Play-Styles: Any and all. Guild Faction: Republic Guild Alignment: Republic, Neutral Website: https://kestrel-minority.com About our guild OOC TKM was originally formed by a small group of MMO veterans, we've played many games together and when SWTOR popped up we were all keen to get involved and see what it had to offer us as avid roleplayers. We originally formed on Trask Ulgo but have since transferred to The Progenitor. Our aim is to form a small, close knit community of like-minded players. While we play on a RP server and consider ourselves a RP guild many of us have an interest in and do enjoy other parts of the game as well, be it exploring, questing, raiding or PVP. Most importantly though we want a sociable atmosphere to do these things in. To enjoy the company of like-minded individuals as we trudge through the gritty underbellies and amble across the brilliant vistas of the Star Wars universe. IC Since the inception of the Treaty of Coruscant, Republic society has been plunged into a time of change and uncertainty. While the machinations of the ruthless Sith Empire sow fear and invite strife upon hapless worlds the Galactic Senate prepares and plans for the future. It falls to the proud citizens to protect the peace and freedom of the Golden Age. As a new generation of heroic travelers from all walks of life venture forth, many come together under bonds of friendship and respect to support one another. Some travel to help the innocent, caught in the vice of war - others work to further their own ends. But they all share a sacred bond of camaraderie. One such network of unlikely allies bear a mark: a swooping bird of prey. They are the Kestrel Minority. No one really knows when the Kestrels came to be. Some say they have always been and live as a legend shrouded in mystery. Now the Kestrels are again searching for new members because their numbers are waning and the war is coming. The Kestrels consist mostly of individuals who do not necessarily see eye to eye with the Jedi Council or the Senate of the Republic on all points but who do not support the Sith Empire either. They regard themselves as independent, taking on things that the Jedi order or the senate seem to ignore or cannot act upon. Kestrels may decide that something needs to be done, but everyone still has their own reasons on a personal level. To maintain their freedom and stay hidden from their enemies, Kestrels all agree to stay silent about their affiliation. Who can join? We ask that you are 18 years of age or more (exceptions can be made), that you can speak English and are open minded and tolerant of other people's beliefs, cultures and practices. Apart from this anyone can join. For those wishing to join from outside the EU that isn't a problem. So how does one join the Kestrels? We ask that anyone interested go to our website and put an application in on the forum after registering, it's a short simple application. Applicants are then given a period of one month (thought it was less)to see whether or not they feel the guild is right for them and also for us as a guild to see if we get along with you. After which you will either be inducted as a full member with all that entails or we part ways amicably. Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope to hear from you soon. - TKM.
  12. Well he won't be able to then either. BioWare have told us several times that you can only level past 50 and access anything added past that point if you get RotHC. Standard practice in MMOs and hardly surprising.
  13. Indeed. Some basic traditional Jedi garments, with and without the robe, would be great. Heck, they pretty much have the model for it without the robe, just need to disable the hood for the handmaiden set and re-skin it.
  14. I'll agree that it's strange that you can even see the new schematics, obviously you should still be able to see them on the trainer. As for your mists of Pandaria example, you can't get past lvl 85 (assuming you have all the other expansions just not MoP) or any of the new crafting there without the expansion either.
  15. Hmm, every MMO expansion ever? At least I can't think of one where they let you keep leveling your character or craftingskills without getting the expansion.
  16. Actually, Steam doesn't use your DisplayName, your Steam username and displayname are different. How do I know? Simple, the name I use to log in to steam is different than what shows on my profile, my login name is also not listed among the "this player has also played as" names... Just saying.
  17. Only got two things to say about it really. 1. Consider a different host, it seems to be pretty slow. Though that might just be extreme load after posting this. 2. Scrap the splash page. I obviously can't speak for everyone but when I enter a URL or click a link I expect to be taken to the actual site, no point to have me click to enter (unless you need a 18+/adult content warning or something). If you do keep it I have to ask, why have Lucasarts, EA and Bioware logos on your site? It doesn't add anything to it except a need for a bunch of text saying you aren't affiliated an so on. A relevant game logo I could understand but company logos are kind of pointless.
  18. Well, we had one character noted on the last page who could teleport themselves using the force, looking at the wiki there are several more listed, being possible with the force that kind of clears Rakata technology to use it since their technology is in large part force based. The wiki also claim it wasn't all that rare, seeing common use among Jedi who favored the power of the force over lightsaber skill. On the other hand there is no source for that what so ever. Still, we got multiple characters noted capable of it already. Keep in mind that as far as lore is concerned you as a consular or inquisitor no matter the advanced class is a very powerful force user, you're not an everyday Jedi or Sith, especially not at the point where you'd gain this ability.
  19. Well, yea, that goes for any piece of software doesn't it? Until you make a big update and thus a change to the first digit in the version number any update you do is small right? The first digit won't change until it does Just the same we can say this, World of Warcraft never changed the first digit of their version number, until they released the Burning Crusade and went to 2.0 Simply due to the fact that 2.0 is now on the PTS I think we can be pretty certain 2.0 will be the next update that isn't just small bug fixes like for example 1.7.1. Might still be a while until we see 2.0 go live but I very much doubt there will be any significant updates at all before that.
  20. Well they've said repeatable before (which I assumed meant it would just stay around)... Those dates have me worried. The events have been fun before, but they really should repeat every now and then.
  21. Seriously?? http://www.swtor.com/blog/scheduled-maintenance-game-update-1.7-february-12th-2013
  22. Not even that really, they've talked with LucasArts before but have yet to pitch it to them since Disney took over.
  23. As far as I see the direction is the same it's always been. We've known about much that has happened over the year since shortly after the launch. The rakghoul thing, the Dreadmasters and the Hutts, Terror From Beyond and Section X and more things we've yet to see involving these story elements (the Dreadmasters and the Hutts) was dataminded/leaked in early February last yea (you can find it on torhead). Now granted, some things have changed, most notably the original plan seem to have been for fewer but much bigger content updates and for example there were to be a Flashpoint released with the Terror From Beyond operation that we've yet to see, still, my point is, the story we're seeing unfold and the general direction we're headed in such regards are still according to the original developers plans.
  24. Well, if they are to do spin-off movies I certainly wouldn't mind something in the spirit of the Agent of the Empire comics, that is, spy thriller or 'James Bond meats Star Wars'. Seems likely they'd plan to do a spinoff with some minor character from the new trilogy or possibly just go with an older already established character. Would be easier I supposed.
  25. PM does get more flak than it really deserves, in my opinion anyway, but that goes for all the prequels. I do still think it's the weakest of the three though. I can see why you'd like Maul even though he is just a tool of Sidious and does nothing on his own, still I can see why you'd like him. Are you sure your problem with Dooky is that he is an old man though? Just find it somewhat curious considering the main villains in the original trilogy is a pair of old and slow (though still very powerful) men (just like Dooku) and in small part a big chunk fat called Jabba Can't say much about the look and feel because honestly, I haven't really thought about it with the prequels or the original trilogy. The lightsaber duel in the end of PM is indeed amazing, rarely mentioned when people talk about PM, guess they forgot it due to bad stuff? The pod-race on the other hand I'll have to disagree with, it was OK the first time I saw it but after that it's just too long and not all that interesting and that stupid race even got longer in the home-media releases, just don't get it. Honestly when I do watch PM I skip most of the time on Tatooine. What I get from critics isn't really that the political stuff was bad (personally I kind of like that angle, seeing how Palpatine did get control) but more of an issue with how the characters are written, how likeable they are, and structuring "issues" like a clear protagonist and antagonist. The of course there will always be the matter of it being far too over-hyped when it came out with everyone expecting far too much
