  1. But really, look at it. Don't you think the "old" code is much closer to what is the actual meaning? In the old version the true meaning is pretty much there, "Emotion, yet peace". While it might have been following generations of Jedi that forgot the true meaning and started to treat the code as strict rules the fact remains that old version is close to the "true meaning" and Odan-Urr's clarification of the code is in some part responsible for the misinterpretations. Of course, as I said earlier, I believe (not completely sure) the code that is now said to be Odan-Urr's was the first one included in Star Wars lore, the older version of it was added later and the explanation for the change got a bit screwed up.
  2. Last thing before launch? Hardly. They were around back then the character creation had "backgrounds" instead of species, when the game still used originally unveiled UI style. So that's a year before launch or something at the very least.
  3. It is rather poor, even worse is the selection of Jedi equipment that doesn't include a robe. We need more traditional Jedi garments with and without the robes and that goes for all future Jedi equipment be it for the cartel market or not.
  4. I'd like to blame Odan-Urr... The Jedi code the precedes his revisions says exactly what it means while his is less clear, funny considering how he supposedly did the revision to simplify it any make it less confusing. Of course, that's lore chronology I think, in our world his version of the Jedi Code existed first didn't it? Very good job on the thread though. Far too many take the code at face value. I see you've got quite a collection of other threads, I'll have to check them out.
  5. Well, that would be because the event of the Millennium Hawk crashing on earth which is the entire basis for this timeline is a non-canon event, just like other similar things like the ET cameo. Personally I'd like to think that when they say a long long time ago they really mean it, not that it matters one way or the other,

    TDM warzone.?

Well, it's more of a One Flag CTF with a twist... But yea, I've been asking that myself as well, why not throw together a few quick Warzones with regular CTF or TDM rules? Get a few more Warzones for the sake of variety. I don't get why they feel every single Warzone needs an objective and that it has to be different than the rest.
  7. Plans, yes. When is it coming? We don't know.
  8. Nope, there isnt. The only areas that automatically flag you for PVP (assuming you're not on a PVP server that is) is the western part of Ilum, the Outlaws Den on Tatooine and some (but not all) bases beloning to the opposite faction, none of these areas have any PVE missions in them.
  9. Well moral is personal and they obviously don't see a problem and honestly neither do I. The short teaser we have alone shows that there is far more material in this expansion than any regular content update. Worth 10$ well that's each person to decide. As for lvls being added so that people have to get it, they've stated that there won't be be much of a step up in gear with the expansion and that's something you can likely take their word for, if there was they'd make a lot of current "eldergame" content overly easy and that is no in their best interest.
  10. So if that list is correct an operation was removed? Hypori/Lorta escort which used to be on fridays. If that list is correct it means the Escort mission was just missed in AmberGreen's post, question is then, why have two missions that unlock on Sunday and none on Monday?
  11. Well, it also seems unlikely that no one around the time of the clone wars would go "Hey, these new republic warships look kind of familiar, where have I seen them before? Oh, that's right, the old sith empire used to use ships just like these". Star Wars and the passage of time within the universe has always been weird...
  12. You want this http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Timeline_of_galactic_history and you want to start looking from 3,641 BBY and continue down the page. Opening the link it might look like a huge timeline too look through and it is but the part you're interested is relatively short.
  13. Apart from giving it to a F2P player you could also sell it on the GTN. Be mindful of the price you set though as F2P and preferred players have caps on how much credits they can have/use, I often see this item priced at 800000 which is way over what anyone who could use it can pay anyway. As for Bioware hustling, as turnoverla-page said, there is an actual and pretty clear warning that you don't need the item as a subscriber. Might argue that the warning should be even clearer though as you actually have to mouse-over the warning triangle currently.
  14. I think how quickly Mace Windu, Saesee Tiin, Agen Kolar, and Kit Fisto was dealt with tells you pretty much all you need about how quickly this fight would be over
  15. No, you see the issue is that the poster before you is a necromancer who brought back a post from last January. Most of the points in this thread are likely irrelevant by since many of the complaints (such as search without selecting a category) has been fixed. (Of course, things could still be better. Pooks actually made some good points like specifying quantity, being able to sort schematics by the crafted item level and a re-list button.)
  16. It's not officially supported by the game. Don't think the game will even recognize the controller. That said, it is possible using software like Xpadder and has been done before. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=229915 http://www.2old2play.com/news/tutorials/swtor-xbox-controller-wait-what
  17. I've never really had that much against Taris and now with speeders at that level I have no issue with it at all. I'd rather play Taris than I would Coruscant, that is one boring planet.
  18. Let's see. Not quite sure what you mean by Bioware model, if you mean f2p but with a subscription available for those that wants less limits, that's fine with me although I personally can not stand the limitations that are put on f2p accounts so I still have a subscription. I prefer the model of GW2 and not the Secret World but I cannot answer which of the two is more financially viable for the publisher. The way they have the items now being either just empty customizable sets or a piece with stats but for low levels I'm completely fine with, I would not like it if they started selling say complete War Hero or Campaign sets. The boosters I don't mind either as long as none of the original rates for XP or the like are adjusted which they weren't, they are just a nice extra for those who want to pay for it. I'm currently playing SWTOR because I actually find it fun (did take a break of a couple of months a while back) and because I'm part of a guild I like playing with. I'm not really that big of a Star Wars fan, I mean, I like Star Wars, but as far as Sci-fi goes it is far from the top for me (if you can even call it Sci-fi). Unless the restrictions put on f2p/preferred accounts are scaled back by quite a bit I will keep my subscription for as long as I'm playing, there are far to many restrictions on travel, xp gain, trading (for f2p) and having to pay for operations and so on that I find it pretty much unplayable without a subscription. Likely because I played the first six months or so of the game without these limitations, getting the now just doesn't work. If there was no subscription that would mean f2p accounts wouldn't be so limited being the only accounts there are so that would be good, on the other hand the game would then be more likely to start doing stupid things with the item store to encourage the use of it. Without subscriptions I also get this feeling that the lifetime of the game might be shorter and the time between updates would certainly be longer as I don't think they'd be making as much money (unless you had to buy the box). In other words, wouldn't make much difference for me but it might for the game and in a negative way so might not be that good of an idea. That is a good point, a lot of things are strangely expensive like all the armours they are currently adding which are from character creation, the kits basically cost as much as a month of game time does, that's not getting your money's worth. More reasonable? 450cc. Of course, I see why they didn't want to do that as subscribers could then pick one each month. I'd argue there is little reason to give subscribers much cartel coins at all though and even so, if prices of the more expensive things go down a bit to be more realistic you can give subscribers less as well and still give them the same worth of cartel coins.
  19. Nope. You could take a screenshot of the character on the character select screen and then try to match it but no easy way I'm afraid.
  20. Not quite sure why you put D3 (i was very excited for that up until the beta weekend recently, kill all interest I had) one a list of MMOs... But yea, there is a lot coming out at the moment and the coming year, a lot that looks good. Secret World and GW2 are the two I have the most interest in, there is also a bunch of shooter and RTS MMOs coming out and of course a TES MMO was announced just recently...
  21. The quest tells you to go get the anti-rad stim from the sabotours in the area so you can survive the raditation. It's still pretty badly designed though as you can't repair four of the holes on one stim so you have to get a stim, apply it, run and fix two holes, get out of the radiation and take away the ant-rad buff, get another stim, apply that and then get the other two leaks... Pretty annyoing.
  22. I assume you are referring to the maintenance times? They are already run on a schedule very beneficial for the US, maintenance is in the middle of the night or very early mornings, what more do you want? Thought the same thing first, went and checked the maintenance post of may 1st, apparently the maintenance time was moved up (or back as I'd like to say) by two hours due to European holidays. As I said above though, not quite sure what more they could do during US holidays since the maintenance times are already running on a US schedule.
  23. Well you could always get a better machine, just a suggestion Now, to be maybe a bit more helpful, there is a target center of screen under targeting in keybindings (not sure what the default binding is), try that maybe?
  24. Well I'd hardly call multispec a vital feature, though I really do want it. I suppose group finder should take priority (that and server transfers).
  25. Ask your guild if your in one. The GTN is generally active on my server but when to comes to augments and other item mods the supplies are a bit limited (not to mention droid parts of which there aren't any at all), I'm glad to have a few dedicated crafters in the guild who will craft pretty much anything they can if you ask nicely.
