    I am going to present this possible explanation. Is it possible you lagged? Lord knows the game play in warzones can be a little laggy at times and I have "teleported" backwards myself. I have lept to people, hit my force sweep only to see it land several seconds later with nobody near where I lept to. As to the mechanical sounds, last I remember there are tons of mechanical sounds within the game.

Additional Comments: Prime Defense was formed in 2009 and was assigned Keller's Void as our launch server. We achieved server first timed runs in both EV and KP along with a Hardmode Kephess kill prior to the first wave of merges. Currently we have a group clearing HM TFB and NM EC, and we have other groups forming. We don't have any strict requirements and due to the nature of our guild we look to the guild members to take the initiative to form groups within our community. We have a mature environment and you can almost always find a bunch of us on teamspeak.
  4. Easy fix, sped Pyro and you are no longer a turret. You are no longer prone to having your tracer interrupted and have sneaky burst with a of Incendiary Missle, Thermal Detonater, Unload, Rail shot. And the comment about the interrupt.....I don't know a single game/class where you can interrupt someone elses cast while casting your own without cancelling yours first. I make liberal use of my Rapid Shots to keep my heat down and proc my cell. OT, after reading the ops post I do tend to agree some. I have both a commando AND vanguard and can apply much more pressure on my vanguard, both specced assault. I also play a pyro merc so the spec is very familiar to me.
  5. If you weren't here for the dead servers before merges, you have no idea what you are asking for. I don't lag at all on the fleet, but IF I were to lag I would gladly deal with that rather than a low pop server.

I augment for +aim in my WH gear, and +power in my Campaign gear. I still disagree with the statement that something is being done wrong if you have that much HP in pvp gear.
  7. I'm only adding this for arguments sake, but my commando has full WH and is at 20k hp. Hardly "easily" at 20k but also not the 18.5k tops either. I am only lacking 4 augments, so I'll end up closer to 21k when fully augmented. I know you are talking VG/PT but the health pools are the same in the dps trees.
  8. Looks like we will have many who need to change their server information as well. Prime Defense is still going strong, but we are on Jedi Covenant now.
  9. I just hit 50 on my Guardian, I have a BM mainhand weapon and the rest of my gear is recruit. I have close to 14k hp, and 927 expertise. My BM weapon is only 31 expertise more than the recruit one, but you have a WH implant so you should be similar to what I have. You are missing something if you don't have at least 900. And, my WH/BM geared commando has 16.6k hp so its not as big a difference like everyone else has said. 20k would be a tank, better off just attacking someone else imo.
  10. Well, I appear to be in the minority here, but healing was OP overall. I have been playing as assault (rank 71), and will continue to play as assault. I a damage-fest such as voidstar, I have been top damage each time I've been in one. The nerfs hit Grav Round/Tracer Missle, but I've still had well played Gunnery commandos tear me apart. No knee jerk from me. I have a rank 55 shadow and I prefer to play my commando still.
  11. If I had a chance to do it all over again I would have chosen Vanguard. I could be wrong, but the Vanguards seem to have a little bit more utility than Commando. Don't get me wrong, played well Commando can be a wrecking machine but melee classes give us fits.
  12. I play my commando as assault in both PVP and PVE. My HiB and Assault Plastique crit for 3.5-4.5k quite often. More often than not its closer to the 3.5k, but I hit 4k in every WZ. The key to playing assault is to always use Hammer Shot to balance your ammo use. If my target it out of range or if I'm running at all, someone is going to be targeted with Hammer Shot. I really find the play style to be more involved, and thus more fun than the turret style of gunnery and I have played both extensively.
  13. I'm probably going to draw the ire of a few with this but oh well, it is what it is. I think this change will only affect the "flavor of the week" player who goes with the easy class to play. I have both a commando and a mercenary at level 50 and I find the GR/TM spam to be excessively easy. I choose assult/pyro due to mobility, and I very rarely find people doing more damage in WZs than I do. Since we don't have combat logs yet, the best PvE comparison I can use the the Infernal Council fight in EV. I'm consistently the first DPS class done with their mob, so while it may lack the burst of gunnery, the constant pressure you can apply does just as much over the length of the fights.
  14. Like several have mentioned here, Troopers are hardly bad at pvp. Its true that I may have trouble 1v1 with melee but in the long run I rarely find others who can do more damage than I can during pvp. I switched from gunnery to assault long ago and its definitely more viable for pvp. And for those who say you don't have burst with the tree, my 4k assault plastique and 4k HiB both say hello.
  15. You know a Shadow/Assassin can aoe taunt and then cloak also. Guard + bubble + aoe taunt = very little damage. Doesn't explain what you saw, but those are powerful tools in the right hands.
  16. I, for one, am not a BW fanboy. The game has its issues, but I'll deal with them. Anyone ever stop to think that maybe we just enjoy everything and anything Star Wars? If you like pancakes with peanut butter, I'm not going to call you a peanut butter fanboy. I'll just have mine with syrup.
  17. What the melee classes lack is a 1-button IWIN rotation which some ranged classes have. Shadow spec Consulars played right can be lethal and I've seen Sentinels doing 300k+ consistently in WZs. I play both a Shadow and a Commando and I can take someone down more quickly on my Shadow.
  18. This all boils down to ethics. Someone trying to rationalize their unethical behavior by saying its not against the rules. Its what is wrong with society today. Where does it end?
  19. My main is an infiltration (CS/Upheaval) spec shadow and I agree with you about Voss mobs being tough. I learned more about my class' skills on that planet than any other. I was still using Qyzen to tank there. I wish I had used Tharan as his CC and healing made Corelia fairly easy in comparison. I will say this, I am leveling a trooper right now which is currently level 44. Consulars have a much more challenging class questline than troopers. I can take on elites 2-3 levels higher than me still finishing the fight at or near maximum health using Elara as a gunnery commando. I have only used my long CD once or twice when I pulled unintended mobs on my trooper, but had to use it all the time on my consular. Stick with it though, the class really comes alive at higher levels and you start dealing pretty decent amounts of damage.
  20. I am in a republic guild with over 350 members and not a single person is quitting. None of my RL friends are, none of my in game friends are, PvP is going in cycles right now. I went 1/15 last night, but went 5/9 tonight (didn't play as long). Rome was not build in a day.
  21. Sadly, since the change I've seen more people leave a warzone after the opposition scores first, or they die once, than ever before. Its the people looking for stacked, easy warzones and are unwilling to fight for a win that are causing Republic to take lots of the beatings I've been in. I don't care how good you are, fighting 6 v 8 or worse is a losing cause most of the time.
