You get emails as the Transfer is initiated and another at completion. My emails game less than a minute apart; it's that quick!

I'm betting the OP rolled on a US server in the first place and now hopes to use Free Transfers to "region hop"

Nope - "Standard" is what they will aim for I think, so we're already OK. There is NOT a problem on ToFN; you can always find people to play with.

Agreed. Level 15 can be achieved in a few hours, without power playing, just by following quests. You're basically talking about completing the starter planet and getting to the Space Station.

Well as no one is going to make you do this, I fail to see the point of this thread. Of course, if you CHOOSE to trasfer your toons to a different server, well that's another matter...

It's Character Transfer, NOT account or legacy transfer. That would seem to indicate 1 by 1...

So this is, effectively, server merge by choice... That is not a bad thing in my opinion, just calling it what it actually is. Very glad that I will not be transferring anything.

It's a graphic glitch; sky fails to load so you get black.

Any chance the OP could number these so that discussion is easier? 2nd one has irritated me sinced I expected it to be part of UI saving.

When there were queues this caused issues as people would remain logged on just so they did not have to queue. I agree, that in these days of lower pops, it does seem dumb that you can get kicked from a server after such a short period, when the server is listed as "LIGHT" Would make sense to only invoke kicking when server pop is high.

Somehow, I doubt it....

I have unsubbed and resubed on plenty of games; it's not about being "lured" back, I just find it healthy and more enjoyable to switch games, or to even stop gaming, for a while.

Well being as they have confirmed this feature for the next upgrade (1.3) I really don't tink your post is that valid. If it was as sim ple as ficking a switch then they would have done it already; believe me they would rather have this feature enabled than endure further bad press. That's why they made sure it will be in 1.3...

This is why, to my mind, that if forced transfers are coming it should be in the form of merges.
