They need to seriously reevaluate their entire PVP mechanism. 4 warzones should not be the extent of the PVP experience in a game and story that has 2 Extremely opposing factions at WAR with each other. And for all the people saying it's too soon and we are impatient and comparing this game to WoW and everything else under the sun.. How many other games spent $200 MILLION before the game even released? Remember, this is the highest costing game in Video Game History (that I know of) The next highest costing game was GTA 4 at 100million. Of course not all companies reveal or even hint at development costs.. but still.. For that kind of money I'd expect Kiera Knightly to flash me some cleavage.
  2. Nah, for me at least it was the 3 HUGE Ilum Changes that basically destroyed all open world pvp in this game. But this one pretty much destroyed the other half of pvp in this game ^_^
  3. I wonder how many people were hoodwinked to resub for just this. My expectations of having many of the good pvpers who had quit this game come back, has been pretty much dashed. Oh well, there are games coming that respect the money of a pvper more than this company does. So yay for them!
  4. Actually you can catch the ball while stunned. The only thing that prevents you from catching a ball is stealth. Nothing else blocks it.

  7. Low level pvp is fun still. No gear grind. I find it's much more skill based.
  8. Already is Warhammer 2.0 Haven't you noticed the layout of the Ilum Objectives is the exact same as a race's side? 5 keeps to control. Remember the guy making this pvp, is the same one in Warhammer who created the Egyptian themed PVE content when 90% of the playerbase wanted more pvp and pvp fixes. Thank God GW2 is coming out. I'm not even pvping on my 50 anymore. Rolled a pub and enjoying the 1-49 stuff. It's not even a gear grind. Wish it had stayed this way.
  9. I'm in the same boat. I would roam Ilum - but my server is a firm believer in trading kills. So I want no part in that. Becoming less and less inclined to log in each day. PVE endgame has raids. Where is my 8 / 16 man pvp content? How about some Warzones that last longer than 15 minutes.
  10. I just hope they take their time on GW2. Tired of these pve games who think they know what pvp entails. Also hoping that The Secret World is worth a damn - 3 faction pvp like the good ol' days.
  11. PvP or Huttball? At this point I see them as completely different. If you want to win at Huttball you have to bypass a lot of pvp and just play to score. Sorc pulls, Jugg Leaps etc.
  12. If they just made pvping in Ilum worthwhile and fun people wouldn't feel the need to do this. This zone is supposed to be our endgame pvp. Do you guys really want to do this zone in it's current state until MARCH when we get our new (just 1) Warzone?
  13. Either way the /stuck exploit needs to be fixed. There is no reason why BW should make this even easier than it already is. At least if people have to keep running back from the res pad it might detract something. Another fix is cap the amount of Valor you can gain a day. Even a 100k cap would suffice. That would take 50-75 Warzone matches to actually hit that and it would prevent leveling up this quickly. But again, I guess BW doesn't give a rat's ***. So what's the point. I would like to know how they plan to have rated Warzones when stuff like this happens. If one aspect of pvp can be manipulated - why can't the rest of it? Bad form Bioware. Bad form.
  14. The more the merrier. The ONLY way Bioware and EA will make a change to Ilum if it sees huge changes to their vaunted statistics. If every server is valor swapping and the time it takes to go from Rank 30 to 60 is just a day, something will HAVE to be done. Otherwise there is zero reason to even have ranks.
  15. Well if BW is that irresponsible about their product I see no reason to continue playing after this billing cycle. In the end, the biggest issue is going to be new and upcoming 50s. Especially if this is ever fixed. You will have a brand new 50 in zero expertise going against eazymode Battlemasters. Do you think we'll get any new blood that way? Wish the devs would stop huffing paint.
  16. Well look at the linked video if you don't believe me. I'm not here to get people banned. I think that's a horrible move. I'm here to show the Developers of this game how broken their open world pvp is. You can either believe me or not. This IS happening. The more this information is circulated, the more servers will take part and the better the chance this will be resolved. The Valor is just too damn good NOT to trade kills. Why grind out literally days of huttball when you can be done in a day? Using the /stuck command to teleport back to your death location is exploiting a bug though.
  17. From 0 to 60 no. However, I have friends and guildies who did get 7+ ranks in the 50s yesterday. Last night before I logged, I heard there were at LEAST 30 pubs taking part. God knows how many Imps. 20 valor per kill. 80 valor per for objective bonus. Since the kills are taking outside an objective, they don't receive that bonus. 30 pubs * 100 Valor = 3000 Valor Every 3 Minutes. 1000 Valor a minute. Why would I ******** about this?
  18. This is a detailed write-up and my opinions on what has recently started on my server. I was going to reply with it to another post, but I feel this issue deserves it's own Topic. The reason WHY I'm including detailed directions: Unless every server is threatened by this blatant abuse.. I don't feel EA and BW will actually fix the problem. Yesterday on my server they started kill swapping. Each side would go to the southern republic res point. They will then each stack up and take turns killing each other with aoes. You have to wait 3 minutes between each death to get credit. Since there are more imperials they get the objective bonus valor whereas the pubs get more kills. The funny thing is the amount of exploiting going on. See when you die and release, if you type /stuck you are automatically teleported back to the place where you died. Now there are people who got 7+ ranks yesterday - completely circumventing the work that goes into earning the rank Battlemaster and the rewards for said work. The excuse to start this little Valor farm was the weekly (Which I can completely understand - it sucks and Ilum as a whole is horribly implemented) But now it has turned into a daily event which I feel is going to destroy PvP on my server. The reasons why I believe this is harmful: First, it's going to kill player retention. It's like using a cheat code and beating a game. If there is no longer any goal to strive for, what do you think is going to keep pvpers in a game? They will do dailies and that's probably it. Second, this is going to hurt WZ participation. Already today out of the 5 Warzones I've joined, 3 ended after 2 minutes due to lack of members. The only 2 that did pan out were compromised of premades I believe. Before today this would happen maybe once every 2 days of steady WZ grinding. Coincidence? Why que up if you can get almost a Thousand Valor per minute? Third, it is just plain exploitation of a game mechanic. If nothing else using /stuck to teleport to your last location is abusing a bug. Now do I think people should be banned for this? No. That would be effing stupid. Banning people for taking a shortcut from the tedious pvp grind would be a horrible business move. They would just quit and find a game with better pvp. What needs to happen is actually FIX ILUM! There have been some Great ideas on how to do this. There's no need to give a detailed outline of what I think Ilum should be. However, what it should NOT be is kill trading or Objective Trading. The ONLY excuse to go to this zone is a champion or battlemaster bag. That issue needs to be addressed. But this. What we have right now. This is going to completely destroy any pvp community you have left on this game. Which I'm going to guess is about 1/4th to 1/3rd of your playerbase. Just watch guys. The moment you start seeing organized swaps on your server - watch the difference in your pvp experience.

  20. ****Spoilers**** Does anyone else feel we should of had a choice for our romanceable companion? I mean on one side of the coin we have a super hot red head who wants to kill her master and enjoys drowning puppies as much as our dark side self. (Easy way to gain a new apprentice) And on the other hand we have some barely legal whiney light side Padawan. Which do you really think a Dark Lord would want to hang with? Thoughts?
  21. I'm very skeptical about this ability. At least in regards to pvp. The standing still for 3 seconds for the full benefit irks me.
  22. The healing is fun. Nothing exactly ground breaking except the companions (really like that) But the UI is giving me a damned headache to say the least. I'm dreading what kind of pain a raid is going to be.
