  1. Do you now? Because I don't. Nothing that has been said alludes to them intending on doing this. I'd like to hear them say it if this is true. Eric himself admitted this has been going on since August. It's been going on for 8 months. Trying to say "Oh, thanks for telling us" is subterfuge. No one but the most gullible actually believe this. It matters to me. On principle. On its own, it is not something that would cause me to un-sub over. But coupled with all the other shortcomings, yeah it matters. The rampant bugs, late and pared down releases...it ALL matters. Plain and simple, they got "caught". Code just doesn't rewrite itself to release cartel coins at 33 day intervals. Someone there made the conscious decision to alter that line of code last summer. We have suspected something was up for months, but gave them the benefit of doubt until now. However you look at this, it is a major breach of trust and should be treated as such imo.
  2. Uhm. Ok. Not a big deal, but let's do the math: assuming an extra 3 days per cycle starting last August; 8 months this has gone on. 3 x 8 = 24 days 24 days late the coins are coming now. That's just a couple more 3-day cycles from being a complete month washed away. So what I am hearing is we are now going to get our coin grant at the end of the month we subscribed for? Seems kinda shady... Not really buying the story that this was overlooked at BW for this long either. You must have bean counters that knew this was happening. On one hand, hey whatever. But on the other hand, I feel like simply "fixing" the 33 day issue without fixing the back accounting isn't quite fair play either. To truly fix this you should remove the 24 accumulated days from the equation, but it's you that has to choose how to spin doctor this situation.
  3. FWIW, I don't think you are lying. My son spent close to an hour resetting and was unable to get the chapter to play correctly. The prime reason I'm not even bothering to attempt it.
  4. Not sure if you're purposely being obtuse or just incapable of understanding this doesn't work for everyone.
  5. I'd settle for a properly play-tested chapter XII that works without compulsory mission-resetting antics and hoop jumping in order to play it. But instead, we'll probably get a HK-themed athletic cup and strap.
  6. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=8851765#edit8851765 Try reading and focusing on the bit "For some users...". So no, it doesn't work for everyone, or reliably, I might add. You have to sometimes do it multiple times to get it to work and apparently for some it doesn't ever correct it. I wouldn't know. I'm not attempting to fix it. If I wanted to test buggy game mods, I have FO4 for that. I'd expect amateur mistakes from someone coding mods in their parent's basement, but not from a company taking my money in exchange for a service they fail to provide after selling it to me.
  7. inB4 white knight posts claiming it worked "just fine on their agents"
  8. Chapter XI worked for 3 minutes out of the reported 24 minutes people say it lasts. So yes, 90% is a high-ball figure. The math clearly shows that chapter XI is only 87.5% broken. Doesn't sound so bad now does it?
  9. IDK. At some point you have to call it... Maybe for some of us, that time has come. As sad as it is to leave behind years of entertaining game play, it's hard to continue on with the current lack of quality, hoping things will improve.
  10. Me too - I was dumb enough to pay them through chapter XII (unless it's delayed more than a week beyond the implied release date).
  11. Aric has stolen those achievement completions and stuffed them in his underwear. Didn't you read the patch notes?
  12. I enjoyed this chapter immensely as well. I especially like how Very realistic story writing! Bravo! This is more than enough content to keep me sated until chapter 12 releases next month. I sure hope more stories are written with these surprises. They add so much realism to the game.
  13. You got 15 minutes?!? I got ripped off then. The chapter naked bugged for me 3-4 minutes in. That's apparently what I paid for.
  14. You... ...just said that with a straight face didn't you? Must be your chapter 11 was different than mine. I got hung up 3 minutes into it with what anyone would call a major *********** bug. Better mechanics? I wouldn't know. The chapter is completely broken from my point of view.
  15. If I had to bet money, all the problems that the 4.1 patch introduced will return until a Thursday hot-fix, leaving 50% of those problems in place.
  16. I would think making a weapon size slider available during character customization would go a long way towards making everyone happy. But money is thicker than happiness.
  17. FWIW - this probably wouldn't even be on anyone's radar if it weren't for the M1-4X/Major Pierce recruitment quests that prod people into queuing who normally wouldn't pvp but feel compelled to do so in order to get the companion. I've gotten those companions on all my characters, so it is no longer an issue for me, unless they write more missions that require pvp to reap rewards for. I sure hope they do not.
  18. This ^ No matter how much whining people do, they will still buy them in the end because they cannot discipline themselves. BW knows this all too well, so they take advantage of it. And why not? These compulsive gamblers would be out buying scratch-offs with their money and losing it anyways.
  19. We are all paying customers and everyone knows it's just a game. Pointless response. 0/10
  20. I, for one, would enjoy this feature. It's been discussed in the past, but the way the game is set up for names... yeah probably not going to happen without a major rework. Not enough of the community is vocal about wanting it, and the trolls and scammers love having anonymity way too much to give up the status quo without a fight.
  21. "Choices Matter" Get over it and roll an alt.
  22. This ^ + So many of the players in this game constantly whine and complain, demanding changes to force others to play the game the way they think it should be played. Instead, maybe change the way you are playing the game; if you think the slicing nodes are so overtly lucrative, why aren't YOU spending YOUR game time scooping them up? ++ What's your angle anyways OP? What do you have to gain by seeing these nodes nerfed?
  23. Psssh... Promise made, then it's broken/late/delayed/bugged. Nothing new to see here. None of you should be surprised.
  24. You community member number is pretty low - you must have been here from the very beginning. I would think your account would go to "preferred", not free-to-play. I don't remember the specifics, but iirc, you're going to be looking under the subscription sub-menu under your account to find the cancel option.
  25. There's many worse bugs that haven't been admitted to by BW either yet. This one's small potatoes...
