Balance is not the big issue. Content and philosophy are. The patch makes single kills count. That tells you the mentality of the game. Boy, lets not sweat winning a virtually non existant war lets just make sure we get credit for our personal kills. I would even be willing to grind for the gear if there was an epic war if I was working towards being a part of. But theres not. As is, there is no light at the end of the pvp tunnel. Just endless WZ's with winning or losing having no consequences in the big picture. Pvp is just a whole bunch of little games that do not affect each other and have no bearing on the persistant world. I want the massive put back in MMORPG.

2 monthes is a long time? Thing is WoW is the king and could afford to lose a couple million subs, SWtoR cant. When the exodus began from WoW subs tried to voice their opinions and were ridiculed and ignored by the devs. Now over 75% of the people playing the game are Chinese and the game is in its death throes as a western mmorpg. So heres the question-are you just going to ignore the falling numbers and discontent of a large part of your player base and hope things get better? How did that work out for WoW? Subs are not just bit ching they are quitting. As have I. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss-we wont get fooled again.

Aye. To have the biggest and best takes time but even a one week old pilot can fly a frigate and tackle and be just as important as a Cruiser dishing the hurt. Both are critical so the grind is tolerable because your still contributing and playing with the big boys. And it only takes a bout two weeks to train covert ops fighter and be a stealth pirate. Thats pretty fun too. Ganking the big mining barges in low sec space, pissing off the major corporations. Ah, good times. Nothing quite like every man for himself pvp.

Was going to give them another month but it really bothers me that they will not comment to their PAYING subs about what their plans are. How many years was this game in development. Its not the bugs that are driving us crazy its the overall concept. It just doesnt feel like a war, it feels more like a game of lazer tag (8 on 8 in a confined space with NO penalty for dying).

Hate to burst that bubble buts its a lot more than 150. Ummmm......you seeing the complaints about servers dying already? Massive wait times for WZ's? Mark my words, next thing they implement will be cross server WZ's and then raids because the player base is shrinking, not growing. And whatever, if your happy with a sub par pvp game more power to you. I am not.

Come the 20th I will pay for 1 more month. I am hesitant to even do this but hey, this is Bioware. I do not see how they are going to salvage pvp. I WANT to look forward to logging in and playing but I just dont. The thought of doing a bajillion more WZ's just to get geared so I can faceroll those doing their bajillion WZ's so they can get geared just does not appeal to me. Their is nothing epic about pvp in this game. Only reason I am posting is so MAYBE Bio can see how totally unhappy a lot of the pvp base is. All they need to do is give us a reason to stay and we will.

Bingo. And if you really consider yourself a dedicated pvp'er how can you 100% throw your lot in with the current system? I am a pvp'er and am waiting to see what they do before I say this is my mmorpg home for the next couple years. Tick tock.

Whatever. Theres too much friggin cc in the game. Resolve is pitiful. Common theme is nubs thinking things are just peachy. You have any idea how many PVP'ERS are quitting this game? You think they're quitting because everything is just bit chen? Have played them all and this might be the worst I have seen for a release of this magnitude (DaoC mesmers aside).

Resolve doesnt do dick because 3/4's of the cc in the game dont count towards resolve. Mondo lamo. Rooted-stunned-slowed-blasted back. In that 4 cc sequence only the stun counts towards resolve.

I have yet to play against my own faction and have 2 toons with gladiator. My friends say MAYBE once they have played same faction. Must be a sith thing.

If your a pvp'er you gotta admit-the game is lame. If you think the pvp in this game is good you are a noob who has never played the REAL pvp games. We are just venting our frustration at another 60 bucks down the tubes. I have read over and over that pvp would be an important part of this game and that is just not the case. Its just another wheel for the hampsters to run on.

Actually I did. They said there was a pvp planet. That little speck of nothing called Ilum is a planet? Its just another friggin instance. I'm with the op, as a pvp'er there is absolutely nothing attractive about this game. Its just Rift in space. Cant even say its WoW in space because its just not that polished. My bad for getting my hopes up that a company that spent 300 MILLION DOLLARS and call their game Star WARS would have decent, meaniful pvp. As is it doesnt matter one bit whether you win or lose, it changes and means nothing. The bears win again and another mmorpg is destined to go down the tubes with the rest of the WoW wannabes.

Try as you might you will NEVER justify the sith. They murdered children and built a friggin death star and destroyed an entire heavily populated planet. Jedi might have made some questionable choices but it was not the norm. Sith being evil was. The devil is not some poor misunderstood soul, hes an evil bat rastard. AND it reflects in this game. 90%+ of the hacking and abusing I see is the empire. Is that the Jedi's fault as well? Polish that turd all you want but its still just a shiny turd.

So many against arena is a plot by WoW. Arena put WoW on the map as the top game in its class and from what I have seen they have convinced everyone else is was a "mistake" while still promoting it themselves. Anyone see the conflict of interest here? If it was such a huge mistake why is it still going to this very day? IMO the biggest thing wrong with ALL new pvp games is the the Bears. Cant loot, cant raid, cant this, cant that-my what a civilized war we seem to have these days. In UO we used to make thieves and steal your house keys and rob you for everything you had. There was also FULL LOOTING when you killed someone. Can you imagine that now? So long answer short the problem with pvp in ALL new games is the Bears. They want to pvp with no risk for "fun."
