  1. I wonder how many 6 month subs have left. My spouse and I did and we were both 6 months with the +1 freebie. That means they can count us til July. Considering we are gone seems a bit odd to still be "counted" as an active sub. Either way to those that stay and enjoy the game, have a great time! I tried to love the game, and did in testing, but live and their handling of things just did not sit well with me. Will still keep a weather eye on the horizon to see if a good wind brings TOR back my way. Alexis *smiles*
  2. I sincerely doubt it will be so small. They have said that if you unlock "Story Bonus" for example you will be able to level with just your class quests. That sounds like a lot more than 5%, but then again, my whole experience with SW:TOR can be summed up by "Oh my god "new something!" it's so exciting! Wait, delivered it kind of smells like poo....what gives..." So I could reasonably imagine this coming like a turd in gold wrap. Alexis *smiles*
  3. 6 monther, cancelled at this time 1.2 likely will not bring me back. That leaves them til my sub runs out in July to reel me back in else I am already no longer playing anyway, so no point in re-subbing. Why? I am not confident in Bioware anymore. I was, but am no longer, nothing more needs be said save I will not be buying another EA-oware game. Alexis *smiles*
  4. Thank you ever so much RuQu! Your thread has been very helpful, information and well thought out. I continue to watch and see what you come up with as new builds roll to PTR. I too have canceled my 6 month sub and will be watching to see what transpires in the future. But information such as you have been providing has been very key in determining how I feel about the "under the hood changes" or apparent lack thereof and the changes to the two classes I primarily play. Thank you for your continued work, would that I had been copied so I could assist in data collection, but I am not quite up to rolling a character and leveling on PTS. So your thread remains my recourse. Alexis *smiles*
  5. Really? Really? RuQu and co. have been doing nothing BUT testing in this instance so that we might all better understand what is occurring and feel informed when we decide about our subs. RuQu and co. have done more than the developers in regards to this. We know more from them than we do from GZ and his "mysterious under the hood" "voodoo you wouldn't understand" comments. I was actually reading your posts and then I got to this point that made me realize you paid zero attention to the thread. Alexis *sighs*
  6. Amazing data RuQu, watching with interest still. Alexis *smiles*
  7. I said feel like lies were told to us, but that testing and what we found on the PTR by the time it went live would be the ultimate judge. I did not say he lied. I said it feels like we were told lies. Small yet important distinction. I cede there is a chance he was completely honest and always have. Alexis *smiles*
  8. Thank you RuQu, as suspected it looks like we got some lies told to us, but comprehensive testing on the test server will be the ultimate judge. I have unsubscribed, will resub if we see proof of the under the hood, or the changes get eased up a bit. I got tired with whack-a-mole class balance with the game that shall not be named. Alexis *smiles*
  9. Read the 1.2 changes. I can say as a Merc healer, who has been feeling lackluster as it is, a one target increase to one skill, while nerfing me across the board ensured I do not re-up at my 6 month mark. I was on the fence, but to be honest, this does it. I am glad to see so many positive changes to other areas of the game, but as a Tester who has consistently provided feedback on Merc healing since November '11 and who tested EVERY phase from that point on. And one who feels (rightfully or not) that the changes to my class are excessive and in the opposite direction of what makes me comfortable I am, for now, not planning on resubbing once my current time runs out. I will stick around and see what the final version of the changes ends up as, but for now, I am baffled by increasing Merc heat generation while healing, decreasing a number of their heals and then tossing them a Quality of Life 1 extra target to Kolto Missile. It just does not compute. I will check back in on the forum next month. This just gives me time to begin sorting my life now that my mum has passed, and allows me to figure out if I can even stay in the States. Here is to hope. Alexis *smiles*
  10. They have already said that you can buy them if you do not want to grind legacy. It has also already been clarified by DH that it is an either or thing, either you hit Legacy level X or spend X credits. My question is, do we "spend" legacy levels. I.E. I have 27 legacy atm, if I unlock Sith Purebloods, do I then have 19? Alexis *smiles* Edit- I apparently was misinformed. You have to be that level and pay the creds. I see much credit sinking in my future.
  11. I subscribe in 6 month blocks. I will re-sub once my current 180 days runs out. Why? Because even though I am inactive at the moment, I believe in the game. I have been a part of the game development since November of '11 and was in testing starting with the MagID Squadron 14-610, and continued through the end of testing. The changes I see coming for 1.2 give me great hope. And until that hope and belief runs out, they have my sub money. Alexis *smiles*
  12. Actually you are quite wrong here Karkais. Georg and other Devs (See Emmanuel Lusinchi's post about coming changes to Orange gear) have stated in no uncertain terms, that once they change to base mods goes live, set bonuses WILL transfer with base mods. Their intent, according to Dev posts, is for all end game set bonuses to be transferable to customizable gear. And that the set bonuses will travel with the base mods, they have also said to prevent farming, some base mods will only go into some types of pieces after the change. I.E. Your set chest's base mod, will only go into another chest, and will transfer the set bonuses to the new chest. Alexis *smiles*
  13. Have the developers thought of ways to increase viability of not only Orange Gear, but the entire mod system so that players can be free to truly customize their appearance? Perhaps by making all world drop recipes reverse engineering enabled to Orange? Alexis *smiles*
  14. Some edits to remove inflection you obviously misread above, as well as an edit at the bottom, cheers. Alexis *smiles*
  15. Being a big fan of both, indeed a huge fan of both. I have not one, not two, but 4 Mandalorian costumes (501st Jango and Boba and two variants on my custom) and am semi fluent in Mando'a. I also have two custom preds costumes and am a big fan of the EU preds. I have to say it is a toss up, every single time. Mind you, I am taking (the opening poster may be a bit roughshod but he does have a point on experienced versus experienced) an Elder/Ancient pair of Preds. Say Celtic (or Wolf) and Elder (Spikey Face the Ancient) against Jango and Boba. Jango and Boba win in Space, every time hands down. Yautja are not known dogfighters. they have space transport, but no EU Pred lore suggests they use it for ship to ship dogfighting. But the remaining two battles go either way, every time. Ancients and Elders have survived thousands to hundreds of thousands of hunts, Just like the Fetts. They have hunted everything from huge deadly prey, to cunning thinking foes, Just like the Fetts. They have advanced armor, advanced scanners, bio scanners, and life detection systems, advanced technology and weaponry, Just like the Fetts. And they have their cloaking field. Fetts have Jetpacks. Balanced there too imho. The ones who could fight the Fetts are not unblooded babes who would be beaten by Duke. They are not semi retarded Yautja who can be taken by an overweight doughnut muncher (Glover) either. If they fell to a Human it would be a big deal. They have hunted for MILLENIA at that point. Yes two standard unblooded preds against Jango and Boba, would be a laugh a second and the Fetts would be off drinking before you knew it. Make it Ancient Elder and Wolf (or Celtic) Elite and well, these guys have trophy rooms FULL of skulls, Xenomorph queens included. Alexis *smiles* -Edit- To the posted below me I am NOT, NOT, NOT joining the choir of Fetts win. But it could go wither way depending on the encounter, the situation and the terrain, especially on Coruscant. In Space, no Yautja EU suggests dogfighting ship to ship prowess. So, I gave that to the Fetts, but honestly, not to anger my fellow Mando fans. Celtic and Wolf is a much fairer pairing against the Fetts. Ancient would wipe the floor with both of them. Spikey-Face is beast and had obviously been hunting for hundreds of years at the point we saw him. ~A~
