  1. Mine is based on the match. If a player was always capping/scoring then I would give them my vote all the time. If there was no sole person then I would go based on objective score. If the match was terrible, either I dont vote or I just give it to whoever doesnt have a vote
  2. I am a conceal op doing PVP only right now. I am level 27 or something.....I love it. Its fun....its a different play style and you have different roles in each game. I do better in Huttball usually because in the other WZ's I end up defending nodes. The story is amazing for IA's if you are into that stuff. I stopped with the story quests for the moment because right now I just want to do PVP. I would recommend that you try it out, and if you dont like it...try another spec, or reroll a different character. Have fun!
  3. I agree with the OP. But I hate both the people who quit the WZ and the ones that just give up and do nothing. People who say that they are doing it for the Comms to get gear, thats BS, because they will do the exact same thing when they hit BM or WH gear as well. They will just give up...and their next excuse will be that they are doing it for their daily. It is a game....so play it! If I end up on a losing team I dont whine, cry or complain, point fingers or quit. I continue playing. If I see other people still putting up a fight, I join them. If I am the only one, I try to find a group of 1 or 2 and try to hone my skills. OP.....wish I was on your server to fight and or die by your side
  4. I have a question. Why wasn't server merges and or transfers prepped at launch? If I was on the design team, I would have brought this up. I wouldve made it a mandatory to have this function ready at launch. If you are doing an MMO, learn from every other MMO! Server merges happen in every MMO. So why not prepare for that situation and make sure you can handle it ASAP instead of waiting for servers to die and make the player base either wait for you to implement it or reroll on a more popular one? I heard that they dont want you to reroll on other severs because of their Legacy system, but in all honesty what is the point in staying on a dead server? This is an MMO, and its better playing with other people. I dont want to stay on a server and create new toons for my Legacy while its a complete ghost town. I bet everyone else feels the same way. If we wanted to play everything solo with no one else to interact with, we wouldnt have bought SWTOR in the first place. I think it was a bad decision in the beginning to not have the ability to have server mergers or at least 1 free transfer. With every MMO that has released in recent years, they all lost many subscribers, and in turn results in dead servers. The Dev Team should have thought of it and planned for it. I dont see any valid excuse as to why it wasnt ready at launch. Money? you lose more money by not having it prepped because if you let the community die, people wont continue playing. When no one is online, there are no flashpoints, there are no ops, no PVP. What else is there to do at 50 that will keep them playing? I think it is now too late for SWTOR to recover. This could have been a great game, its a Star Wars game! All it needed was more PVP variety, not just 3 maps. Should have had arenas or something where you do 1v1 up to 8v8. Have just a standard Team Deathmatch style WZ. How can they believe that 3 WZ maps at launch was enough? Anywho, I will end it at that. I have about 50 days left but I doubt I will be back on. Bioware you had me at Star Wars, but you lost me with bad planning.
  5. I see a red name, I kill the person displaying it! ......sorry I just wanted to sound like Wyatt Earp in Tombstone
  6. There are some threads that have good information on them that I want to either refer to later, or check for updates at a later time and so far I have only found that I need to reply to the thread in order to keep it in some sort of subscribed list. Is there another way of following a thread without having to actually reply? Thanks
  7. Instead of saying that eveyrone is ignorant, why dont you take the time to look at the situation in different perspectives. Such as, a new player whether its in general or to MMOs. Or they are a young kid. Maybe it was their first time playing PVP. The difference between Ops and PVP, is you actually do have a say in who you do an Ops with. PVP, you dont. I have a saying that is applicable to the situation "It is easier to change yourself, than it is to change another". Just accept the fact that you have a weaker player. Because guess what, even if you have everyone in Recruit Gear, you will always have bad players. Are you going to cry then that people need to stop being ignorant and learn their class and know how to counter other classes?
  8. I have both a sent watchman, and a Conceal Ops....and I am in no way an Elite Player. I have to say this, without even looking at your log, you didnt play properly against the Operative. I used to have problems with Ops as well when I was a Sent, but I learned how to p lay against them, as well as how to play that class in general and now I rarely ever lose a 1v1 against them, unless they are way better than me....or got the jump on me when I didnt have my cooldowns. Don't take offense to it. Instead of asking for a Nerf to the class first, why dont you try to learn what you can do better. There were many posters stating you made mistakes, or you shouldve done B instead of A. They are right. Do the research on how to be better, I did that 2 months ago. Also, just because you cant beat someone 1v1, doesnt mean they are overpowered, it can mean they are better than you, can mean their class is your counter, or you didnt play well enough. Whenever I get attacked by a Ops, I Mez them instantly first. pop all of my relics and defensive cooldowns, then use a priority rotation (Ops dont have a knockback so you can leap as an opener if you have it specced to have no min range) I would like to tell you an exact step by step plan, but you havent earned it. read the forums on Sent rotations, practice on PVE mobs (elites are best) to learn a good rotation. That is what I did. so TL;DR - First look at what mistakes you made, and then find out what you can do better, and practice.
  9. As a person who had a sentinel as their main since launch I did terribad in PVP for levels 10 - 20, once I hit 30, something happened and I started doing fantabulous. I think it was a combination of knowing a good priority rotation. Best thing to do is, dont force leap as your first move, use it as an interrupt or if they are trying to kite/run away. Granted I am no guru, this is my first MMO, and I havent gotten my sent to lvl 50 yet as I have limited playing time, and I am loving my IA toon. TL;DR Be patient, get to mid 30s, and learn priorities.
  10. I forgot the name of the attack that builds up focus, and I thought I read that it was precision slash. As for using OS and Cauterize when its up, that rotation does just that. When I use Force Stasis, OS becomes available, then Cauterize is ready right at the same time I need it in the next run thru But thats going by exactly what is listed. I dont pop adrenals and such every fight, but just saying for the OP, that if they are having troubles, then do whatever is necessary to get an extra edge.
  11. So, this is also my first MMO. I rolled a JK because my co workers were going Repub, and if I wanted to paly with them, I would need to go Repub too. I didnt care about rotations and what not. Gear? Bah...im lvl 37 with some level 20 items still....GREEN TO BOOT. I started PVPing alot, because I guess I like that style of play. So, I had to learn a few things. I read about what I should be doing in combat, and what I shouldnt. It has helped tremendously. I used struggle in 1v1 PVP stuff. Not no more (even being geared like bum). PVE.....I rarely have troubles. Granted I am over leveled, but when I was at the lower levels, I didnt have trouble going thru the missions. Its all about your rotation and using your abilities to the full extent. On normal mobs, its ok to Force Leap at the start of the fight, but dont do it against Elites. Instead run up and build Focus with Slash/Zealous I cant remember what spec you are (combat/focus/watchman) but I am a watchman, and they key is to use your DoTs (damage over Time) which is both Overload Saber and Cauterize. For PVE, my optimal rotation for strongs/Elites goes like this: - Pop EVERY thing listed here: Rebuke, Relic, Stim if not already on, Adrenal if any, Saber Ward and Overload Saber - Walk up and use Zealous Strike - Precision Slash - Slash - Cauterize - Zen (if ready) - Force Stasis (full duration to let burns tick off and companion to deal damage) - Master Strike - Pacify You Repeat this process until they are dead. It usually doesnt take long to take them down with this. Now, remember, this is what I aim for as an optimal rotation, but it doesnt always occur, due to knock backs, getting stunned, or seeing a charge bar. If the Elite is charging an attack, use your Kick/Force Leap or even Force Stasis as an Interrupt. Use your Heroic Moment, Med Packs as well as Camo when getting low on Health. Some people say you need to always have up to date gear, it is not true, as I have said that I have level 20 greens when a level 37. I Rarely die in PVE, and I can do quite well in PVP when I stick to my roll. If you are not Watchman, read up on what other ppl do with your spec. Good Luck.
