You're doing it wrong.jpg P.S. Obliterate is the only "Leap" that works against targets in Cover. It is a 10m range and doesn't interrupt casting. Force Leap does not work on targets in cover, and that includes Operative cover.

Exfiltrate is the "Oh ****" button, compared to Force Barrier. I'm talking about what tools people have to escape from the frequent harrassments, not what they can do to avoid a focus fire.

I don't know what's more funny.. the original post filled with QQ, or all the people saying "Wait a minute, Operatives can go into Cover and not be leaped to??!!?". In my opinion the ability to prevent a gap closer (Cover stopping Leap) makes up for the fact that operatives have no gap increasers (Knockbacks, Force Speed, Hold the Line, etc). Of course this was before Scamper was introduced.

Do you realize that farming / rolling a team is actually less DPS than fighting a team with survivability? More survivability means more sustained combat and damage being dealed out. All of us at one point or another get stuck in warzones with bad pugs and get rolled and farmed by the other team. We don't complain about it on the forums.

A lot of the active pink pvp'ers had split off to separate guilds, a while ago before 2.0 hit. Those of us that have been around a while are still here, but that has always been only one, maybe two groups queueing for pvp at any given time.

Just tested this and confirmed working, HOWEVER the character you are trying to send a tell TO must have been logged in atleast once since the patch.

My Guess: Before 2.0 there was code in place that did a better job of making sure players didn't play the same warzone twice in a row. It turns out this code has been putting players into that 'bugged' state, causing them to sit in the queue indefinitely never getting a pop (I'm sure you've all expereinced this before.. everyone in the group has to log out and back in..). So they removed that code. I'd rather get streaky warzones than to sit around for 30 minutes wondering why I haven't gotten a queue pop at all.

I've searched for an answer to this and haven't found one. I realize the certificates themselves are bound. Looking at the items you can buy with the certificates, they are also all "Bind on Pickup". However, I'm wondering if they have the same time delay on conversion to "Bind on Equip" that the items would normally have if received from a cartel pack. Has anyone bought one of these items and noticed if this is the case or not? Thanks.

So much ignorance of how network communications actually work going on in this thread. Someone using a 'lag switch' would not benefit from it. The game would rubber band you back to the position you were at when you re-sync. Using it to avoid envrionmental damage or 'pass the ball after dieing' would not work either - these are things that the server controls. If the server thinks your dead, it automatically handles the ball being transferred, and any packets from a lagged client saying "Hey I'm passing the ball" are ignored (Server: Lol nope, you're dead son). Claims of this happening could be from passes being mid-air while the carrier dies (and could also be combined with the known bug of the pass circle not showing up, but rewatching this on video will clearly show the beacon of light over the carrier disappearing before they die, showing a pass). Similarly, lagging yourself out in a fire trap would not help as the server would know where you are and still apply the damage, and your death. Also, the 'lag attack' that you guys commonly see, the one which affects your framerates, is occured by the server loading a new instance of the warzone for another group of players. This has been noticed if you are the center of huttball at the time, you'll see a bunch of nametags pop up for a few seconds during the lag, then disappear. It also shows up in Novare, right in the center of the map where the speed boost is. Your client is loading, and then unloading the profiles of all these players. Why the system bothers sending this information to a completely different instance is just another case of this game's horribly inefficient coding. Source: I'm a coder on an MMORPG Project.
