My dad works in IT and was just saying usually it's the fan(s) inside the computer, especially if they're noisy. Try getting them blown out if you can't do it. I've seen laptops cleaned before, it's pretty disgusting how much dust gets inside them.

I'd like to know how you get rolled by BH so easily. Tracer spam itself doesn't do a lot of damage, it stacks. When we cast it we have to stand still (pvp 101: standing still = death). The instant casts are what give us the damage through the stacked buff (of which, we only should maybe get 2 - 3 stacks of on you). If you are getting nuked with 5 stacks, you might want to consider using your movement keys. It's also worth noting that if you get in our face, we really have nothing to get away from you. I'm sure I haven't changed your opinion, but that is how life is, "give a man a fish.." Oh and I agree snipers don't need a nerf, they aren't that hard to play against, force lightning spammers however...

The guild forums are confusing, my friend and I are wanting to look for a new server to play on, but rolling on every server or posting on every forum seems like a complete waste of time (not to mention we'd probably be reported for spamming on the forums). Is there somewhere here we can advertise or somewhere we can check out guilds/servers?

Seriously, as someone who is looking at other servers for possible guilds to join, finding the right server forums, having to jump and skip around several different ones.. I ended up chucking it into the too hard bin. Your forums are horrible. And so is the PM system, no reply button?

So I have a arsenal merc at level 25, and starting to already find it a little boring hitting tracer all the time. How does the Pyro tree compare? what do I lose if I go that way? And what do I gain? My focus is mostly pvp, a little pve. I'd love to hear some honest thoughts about it. I'm the only BH in my guild, so I dont have anywhere else to ask, so the more info the better! Thanks

Pretty much. I mean, for those playing it, it doesn't always feel that way, but then to another class what feels like a normal ability could be a "AMG OP! NERF IT!" alarm in their head. Tracer is easily countered though, just leap over, pull me apart. It's not that hard. I really don't have much to stop you.

I actually try not to use it, well not to use it a lot. But the thing is compared to everything else given to us, it is the best we have. I admit I didn't even use it at all at first, and then when I tried it out, it was amazing the difference it made. One ability. I still love Bounty Hunter, but I admit I get bored with having one good attack and the rest being pretty average compared. I would rather be more mobile, and I actually still use other skills instead most times. But it's still the best given to me, so why would I avoid it totally? Why would I reroll another class to make people feel better about how good I am in PVP? Why don't they reroll BH? I hope BW change it, I really do. But I also hope they give us something in return, maybe drop the damage of it, buff some of the other abilities a little to compensate and lower the heat generation of those other abilities to make them more attractive, and actually worthwhile. Yes I am probably doing something wrong, and no I am not the best at PVP. It's a side hobby for me. But even I know something is wrong with the class. Just like the lightning spammers, or the jedi slow ability (not sure what its called since I dont play rep), or IA's ability to 1 shot me (or used to, been about a week since I pvp'd).

Its pretty standard. Most dev teams will say they are aware, then bring out a fix out of the blue.

It's annoying, but got to remember, just because you can see something doesnt mean it has a giant neon sign over it saying it's yours. Sometimes you just have to wait for the respawn, Like I did with three objectives in a row the other night. I'm sure I have mistakenly done it to other people as well (as much as I'd hope I hadn't).

My problem with the complainers is that they are usually more about telling us how the game will die/is dieing, or how they are going to quit. They aren't complaining, they're throwing tantrums. Now, if posts were more polite and constructive, then maybe I wouldn't write off the "complainers" so much. I have seen a couple decent posts though around. But they are few and far between.

Can't say I ever used healbot style addons to heal in other MMOs, it made things too easy (for me anyway, I like a challenge not mindless clicking). LFG tool would be great, but I wont quit for not having one.

Just dont group then. Like others have said, sometimes you just have to get the ball rolling. Invite a few people, usually someone ends up telling people what to do even if they dont have the little star.

Depends what you want from the community, and the TOR forums are nothing to go by, thankfully.

A year from now I'll still be here, thanks very much. The thought of yet another sword and sorcery MMO makes me feel ill. If the worst happened, and I dont think it would, I may out of total desperation go back to wow or something, but I really would rather not. I'll stick with TOR until they start winding it down. Or they bring out expansions with rehashed bosses, or pandas.

I think I'd rather just quit MMOs. Once tor is done in a few years, I'll look again and see whats out there. I was curious about titan until I read more about it.

Young'n here. I haven't been this happy with any game in ages. Since before Cata in WoW anyway. I dont even play my xbox anymore, it's all TOR. I love the people (in game) and I love the game itself. I dont understand all the whining. Sure, there are a few problems, but this is an MMO, things always change and grow. I figure when its smoother, I'll be able to kick back and enjoy it all, since Ill be 50 and able to do most things anyway.

I'd love a server only LFG tool like WoWs, but one that only puts you in queue for a flashpoint with people from your own server. the list thing is horrid to use. spamming general is annoying.

I'm frustrated with the pvp, I'll be honest and admit that. But the game itself is a blast, and mostly the community is amazing. I wont be playing anything else for a long, long time.

We are getting SGRA, they confirmed it long before launch. It is only a matter of when, not if. Just because some people feel they do not wish to follow a SGRA, or it doesn't suit their lifestyle, doesn't mean others can't or shouldn't follow something that they too feel is part of their ideals. Most people on here don't care if SGRA come about, a couple trolls will fight it as though its a personal crusade, but most will barely give this a second glance. We had a thread that went for months, with endless streams of debate and support for SGRA, it eventually got through to the dev team and as I mentioned, they confirmed its coming. The only thing these threads do is feed the trolls, give them something to fight about. Support for SGRA is strong in this game, that much was long ago proven.

I'm here to stay! PVP isnt great, but they will fix it, along with other things. But thats fine, it is a new MMO and it wouldnt feel right if it didnt have problems.

I agree to a point, but I still would like something interesting in the form of a warzone. They do need to fix up pvp fast, while at first I didnt mind being thrown in with everyone, now I am starting to see the difference between levels. It cant be good to attract new players by crushing them with level 50s everywhere. And remember we dont want just existing pvpers, we want new ones to expand our experiences too.

PVP isn't ideal right now, but there is no way I would quit. I have a burning hatred for Huttball, for example. I loathe the thing, but I deal with it, just grin and bear it. New warzones are on the way, we know this. We also know they are still fine tuning things, and yes even other games are doing this still, 7 years on. Quitting now is very childish. Grow up and learn things like MMOs arent going to be 100% perfect at launch -ever-.

How about lock servers to people who havent already got characters on them and push new comers to the empty ones? Booting is just an awful idea.
