Funniest "I quit" thread I have ever seen. It's not even over actual game play, so I would suspect you were leaving anyway. I do agree that paying for it seems a little silly though.

Hey, Im a big fan of PVP, and I'm totally confused about what tree I should be going up for PVP. I see lots of talk about hybrids and immortal, and even rage. I don't really understand the big differences or have seen any builds with explanations anywhere of their playstyles. Any help would be wonderful, links, whatever you can throw at me would be very appreciated!

On Lord Adraas there are mostly Marauders and Operatives, and a fair few Snipers. The other classes appear in warzones in 1s and sometimes 2s. I've noticed the decline of Inquisitors, Bounty Hunters, and Juggernaughts steadily happen over the last few weeks. I'm guilty of dropping my PT because of the nerf, and the fact I'm bored with it. I picked up Healer Inquisitor, and Juggernaught instead. I figure they wont nerf the healer any more than what they have, and the juggernaughts are hit and miss at times.

Oh how I wish I could clone you and have people with that logic on my team! Dps run away from heals, don't notice me being smashed RIGHT BESIDE THEM, Refuse to help me out when I'm being swamped. Then they complain they aren't getting heals. Now I only pvp when I am in a good mood/don't care mood. Otherwise I just get frustrated. P.s. It's amazing how many people I can take with me down into the pits in Huttball and distract them from our Ball Carrier!

Very cool video, i always thought that class was slow and just.. well boring. Then I saw your video and I am now thinking I may roll one for my damage alt, since I only play a healer for the most part. (got sick of my BH) One of the best videos I have seen in a long while! Keep it up!

Could be both good and bad. If I am on a team that's only got 3 or 4 people on it I wont stay the whole warzone. And for the other team, it's just as pointless, apart from an easy win. Bring on x server pvp!

I left a warzone earlier today. Here's why. I am a healer. DPS were derping around in VS miles away from the doors trying to get kills. Not helping the team and ignoring me when I had 2 or 3 people on me (which I'd kite to them, right beside them) and still, not one would help me out. I played 5 other warzones and watched in alderaan as 4 or 5 people sat in mid and refused to go help get another turret. I done several other games of Huttball where my team would willingly sit down in the pits to "lolpvp" it up for kills instead of going for the ball, carrying it, supporting or attacking. I actually watched 3 of my team run RIGHT PAST the ball carrier so they could get back into the pit, thus allowing the other team to score, for the 4th time in a row. After being stuck with these people most of the day, I got frustrated. I don't think many people could blame me. And I didn't trash talk the chat either, although I did politely ask several times for help, or for assistance with an objective. Of course, DPS were too busy with their tunnel vision to actually know what was going on.

A good dps pops the bubble pretty fast anyway, and as a healer we die too fast as it is. But hey, what's another nerf, right? I mean wer'e going to be totally gimped in pvp anyway.

Easy solution: Learn to use interrupts.

I wish DPS could get an intelligence buff...

Or 1.2 will pretty much kill off healing. I went there and it looked pretty empty. I'll lurk it for a while until I know if TOR is going to be a game I continue to play.

I went through this stony silence at launch when they stonewalled us about Oceanic release, then when they refused to comment about us being able to play with over seas purchased copies. Then they come out killing healing in PVP and give us no real comment. I wont be unsubbing yet, but I am close to doing it. My next sub will be for the shortest time possible, just to see how things go, after that I wont say either way. I don't like DPSing in PVP. Been there, done it, was a solid average player. I'd rather heal because it's a challenge as it is. I like challenges, but I don't like being made totally worthless. I wont contribute to my team, I'll die faster than I already do (which is pretty fast as it is compared to my other characters). In the end I play for fun, kill my class and play style, you kill my fun. And the whole reason I am here. Dev's, get a clue. 99% of healers are upset. Some are unsubbing, some are doing the same as me. I haven't seen many (if any) that say "Oh I'll stick with this another 6 months!".

So you went up against 3 people and wonder why you can't kill them all solo? Are you trolling?

from southern hemisphere i get 180ish most of the time, very playable.

After getting bored with DPS, I have been considering rolling a healer. After reading the patch notes and many of the threads, I'm not so sure now. I don't want to tank, I don't want to DPS anymore, and healing is going to be smashed into the dirt. I've been tempted to just call it a day, it seems there is no communication from the dev team.

Sentinal, unless you want to tank. The DPS tree in Vanguard will be worthless soon with the ammo issues and lower damage overall.

Even though I play a PT BH, I do get bounced around a fair bit as well. But if you are going to take away any knockbacks/pulls/pushes then take them all out, all of the classes. It's all or nothing as far as I am concerned. Also, the sprint that consulars and inquisitors have, since we wont have anything to counter it.

I usually go for the ones supporting the ball carrier, although in saying that it's very rare that the person I grappled gets out alive. I just pulled them into (usually) the acid, me, and 2 - 3 team mates. Perhaps you just haven't played with the right PT's.

I'm retiring my BH after 1.2 goes live, and have already started a couple alts. I don't want to tank, and AP is still broken. I might be a notorious Pyro PT, but it doesn't mean I live longer than anyone else, or have that much more dps than others. Why do I get good damage results on the charts? Because I never stop attacking, unless I'm dead or healing up. Most Pyros I have seen are the same, Pyro seems to attract a more proactive player. We don't sit around waiting for enemies to come to us, we go out and hunt. Now when I go out there in 1.2, I'll have less damage, a lot more downtime due to heat problems, and still no real CC. And yet all my best abilities are close range. Yay I have heavy armour.. i just can't stop people hammering away on it.

You are talking about changing a whole class mechanic based on one warzone. And yes I have been knocked into fire and acid by classes that do NOT use grapple. I have even had one inquisitor manage to get out of the acid I pulled him into, then knock me into it for the kill. I'd suggest people take a breath, read the ability tooltips, and work out how to over come it. I still stand firmly by what I said before. You guys just don't like BH class, you all cry everytime you can't faceroll something, oh it MUST be OP if it kills me! seriously..

It's not OP. What about Sages who stand on the bridge in VS and knock 3 people off it for an instant 3 person kill? Either leave it as is, or if they are going to remove it/nerf it, hit everyone else hard as well. This whole thread is just totally foolish.

The worst way to ask for something is to say things like "if you don't give me X I'm going to cancel". Everyone wants something, BW can't do everything at once. What you want isn't always what the devs want for their game, right now.
