  1. Gotta have'em. Period. My server is a ghost town. Small guilds are dying. People are unsubbing rather than condensing guilds. No one PvPs as Imperial because Republic is completely dominant. Come on BW, get a clue and get off your high horse. Server mergers before my free time runs out or my patience will run out.
  2. This game needs a Star Wars injection. The Star Wars aspect is lacking lately, so 3D space battles is a good start. What it really needs is to take a cue from the movies and add more Operations that mirror stuff that happened in the movies. That's where 3D space battles is a good start because the great big battle at the end of Return of the Jedi is what this game sorely lacks. We need big battles where half the OPS group is in space and the other half on the ground somewhere and the two groups are depending on each other to get something done ("Come on Han old buddy, don't let me down"). We need missions that begin on the ground and transition to space. We need missions in space with multiple players on the same ship helping to fight the battles. Heck, that was in the CGI opening scenes but nowhere to be found in the game ("Get on those guns and get them off me") I'm getting bored really quickly...
  3. I'm getting MMO'ed out. It's the same reason I don't play FPS games any more. Just been there done that for everything. Same with RTS games. I like SWTOR. It has faults like all MMOs, but I posted long ago that I knew I'd get MMO'ed out in short order.
  4. From today's Q & A: "As for Scoundrels having no tools for short burst healing, we don’t agree with that assessment. A scoundrel, for example, is capable of producing rather significant burst healing output by using Upper Hand gained from Underworld Medicine or Kolto Injection to trigger an instant Emergency Medpack or Surgical probe when needed. That said, we certainly think there’s room for improvements (and our upcoming Game Update 1.2 has a sizeable chunk of such improvements). For example, we are shifting the healing created by the Kolto Cloud ability to be front loaded in 1.2 to allow it to act as an emergency Area of Effect healing tool. Finally, the perception of a specific class being not desirable can also be affected by the desirability of other classes. For example, Sage/Inquisitor healers are currently able to exceed our intended healing performance at times by affecting multiple heals with the same Conveyance/Force Bending buff. Game Update 1.2 will remove the ability to do so." One word: No. Ok, some more words. Operatives can't heal in Operations. We all know it. Yes, we take them, but grudgingly because yes Sorcerers are soooooooooooooo much better. But nerfing Sorcerers isn't going to make Operatives "un-suck" at healing. We die plenty in OPS with supposedly over powered Sorcerer healing, so how is making Sorcerers suck like Operatives going to make things better? The "free" Surgical Probe rotation doesn't work in Operations because the damage output well outstrips what the probe does for its target. If you want people to want Operative healers in their group, then buff them because in their current state they do suck. I healed all the way up to 50, and it was absolutely obvious in my very first Hard Mode that I needed to respec. I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up in an Operation so I went DPS and never looked back.
  5. Nerfing Sorcerer healing isn't going to make Operative healing suck less. Operative healers are useless in Operations. Sorcerers are a must, and we still die plenty. Don't nerf Sorcerer heals, buff Operatives because Surgical Probe is NOT efficient burst healing. If someone is below 30% total life points it's because something is hitting them for half their life points and they are about to die. Repeated Surgical Probes using the "free heals" proc gained from the skill tree will NOT save the persone below 30% in a raid situation. Raid bosses hit way too hard for the free surgical probes to save them.
  6. I felt cheated when I was walking out of "The Phantom Menace."
  7. Hated that FP for the very same reason. Never finished it. Turrets didn't work as OP states.
  8. I grew up on Episodes 4, 5, and 6. Episodes 4, 5, and 6 taught me that "there are alternatives to fighting." Episodes 4, 5 and 6 taught me that "sometimes the truths we cling to are only true from a certain point of view." Episodes 4, 5, and 6 taught me to never leave a friend out in the cold, even when it could cost you your life. Episodes 4, 5 and 6 taught me to trust my feelings, and it's never too late to change. My kids grew up on Episodes 1, 2, and 3. They learned that people with a Caribean accent are stupid goofballs and that love makes you kill children.
  9. Quoted from the NYT article: "while Padmé Amidala, the heroine of the “Star Wars” prequels, peeked down from two paintings arranged on either side of his head. " This is his meeting room where he does the interview for the news piece, and there are TWO paintings of Amidala and NO paintings of Luke, Leia, Han, Obi-wan or any other of the "good" Star Wars movies characters. THAT's the problem. George has always been stung by the criticism of the first three episodes to the point that he's developed a resentment against them. In George's mind, Padme' is just as important as Leia. In mine, Padme' is the constant reminder of the decline in George Lucas' movie making skill. Natalie Portman is hotter than Carrie Fisher ever was, and Carrie looked damn good in that metal bikini. Natalie Portman is a far better actress than Carrie Fisher, but Carrie is far from a hack. But from the two series of movies I have never, ever, not even once, met a fan of the movies that thinks that Princess Amidala is a more memorable character than Princess Leia.
  10. George killed the goose that laid the golden egg by giving up on his vision and simply making Episodes 1, 2, and 3 so his children could have bit parts in them. They all do. That's why TPM is all about an eight year old randomly pressing buttons in a starfighter, because his oldest daughter was about that age at the time it was made. George killed Star Wars. George killed Indiana Jones. Red Tails is currently playing to vacant theaters, and George blames us because no one likes the ***** he puts out for movies. F U George, do what you said you were going to do DECADES ago. Stop making Star Wars movies and just produce them. You know the movie business and are good at it. You suck at the movie crafting business! So George, repeat your smashing success of The Empire Strikes Back. JJ Abrams is the new Ira Kirshner. Let JJ make the Star Wars movies WITHOUT your interference and they won't suck and you'll still make money!
  11. It is the GALACTIC trade network right? Not just the Imperial Fleet network? I promise, I'll still come back to Imperial Fleet to do FPs and stuff, but come on BW. It's getting boring to have to make my way back to IF to hit the GTN terminal.
  12. Yeah, my grandson is a BH Powertech, and he deals out death pretty effectively compared to the Sith Juggies we've PuGed with in the past.
  13. /signed The scenario in the three tubes I have to run through to get through an orbital station were barely semi-interesting the first time I did it. Now it's downright nerve grating and soul crushingly boring! Get rid of 2/3rds of the running/speeder riding and you'll have it about right!
