  1. Sure it can be tricky to find someone or a group to do flashpoints or Heroics with if your not in a guild Im in exactly the same situation as you But its not a game wrecker - doesnt happen often and if it does, go do a few missions then try again or use the general chat a bit more - pretty simple really Or throw your toys
  2. Surely if you wanted total healing then why didn't you research the entire medic tree ? Cheers
  3. Could anybody recommend a good compatible program (thats very easy to use) in order to get in game chat ?
  4. Sorry to be the bringer of bad news but that build is really terrible If your going to go that high in gunnery at least have the grav round for a bit of punch while youve got a break in your healing role because with that build you really have to be a healer. But ultimately if you like it and it works for you then go hard - but do consider the look of the 2nd posters build, thats a lot better for a similar role
  5. At what point can this be done ? Do you have to be in a guild or is there a setting I am missing to chat while in a group for heroics/flashpoints ? Cheers
  6. Some people just want the fight - also being new to forums especially gaming forums there seems to be a lot of 1 upmanship needed from certain individuals - how dare you put something out thats informative, thoughful and generally helpful - I thought you handled the underlying stirring very well - and given the amount of time and work you had put in to your post - you don't really need circus acts like Bowser coming in to the mix So cheers Gannacus the drunk gladiator
  7. First MMO thanks for the guide - have found it an excellent model to start from - putting it into practice with our group of middle aged newbies will be another story though, but should be good fun. Man we have taken some hidings so far. Slowly picking up the terminology that comes with this style of game - however could you explain what gimp means ? I can't picture my Commando in a 1 piece leather Pulp Fiction outfit. Lastly thanks for the enjoyment during the great debate with that Bowser character - very entertaining. I assume one of your crew skills is diplomacy.. My diplomacy skills are poor however - therfore I must ask is Flamer the right word for that goat ?
  8. Couldnt agree more - in a 2 on 1 supporting a Jedi or similar regular healing with longer cast times is fine. But when your getting hammered, and need a fast big boost, pumping out 3 or 4 healing probes quickly is whats needed - can be the difference.
  9. Its about 8 grand - excellent armour bonus too
  10. On the map mouse over the exit points and it should say jedi hangar or trooper hangar etc whatever your class is. Unless you have taken a transport and your ship is back somewhere else or another planet
  11. To ask a question differently - can a hybrid 50/50ish split tree cut it in dual roles at a high level ? Or do you really have to be one or the other ?
  12. If you want to be up close and personal, then you should have been a Vanguard or grabbed a lightsaber of your own. As it is, you are playing a class with range, extreme damage, and comparatively poor mobility/zoning. If you want personal victories, go play a single player game. Skyrim is amazing. In multiplayer scenarios, it's only the success of your team that has any tangible result. When a Sith is rushing down your low-health healer and you bail him out by burying three grav rounds in the enemy's back from 20 yards out, he doesn't think you're a cowardly scrub. You're a guardian angel. When your tank is holding the line with enemies draped over every inch of his body and you show up and roast the entire enemy squad, he doesn't think you're stealing an "easy triple." You're the one guy who is making him feel useful. If one of your Sentinels makes a move to pick off a healer, and he's suddenly set upon by a stealthed escort, he's not going to say "Whatever man, don't help - this is my fight." No, when you turn the walls behind those two targets into a bloody canvas, he's going to be thankful, because you were the equalizer (and then some). To your allies, you are not a coward. You are not a handicapped kill thief. You are the fire support - when the battle lines are drawn, you are the one who is going to push them forward, one grav-round riddled or char-broiled Sith corpse at a time. To your enemies, you are an angry and vengeful god who can only communicate through high-velocity projectiles and horrific explosions. And the message is very clear: "Don't you lay a single f*cking dirty Sith finger on my team." Where do I enlist ?
  13. Gannacus - after the Gladiator. Although I dont think running round in a loin cloth, leather shoulder armour, 2 broadswords and shagging all the slave girls is gonna work in this game... actually now I think about it, the slave girls bit works. Do enjoy a good fight though.
  14. Keep blasting everything you see - you can pick up some nice gear off the most unlikely victims. One of the L4 Heroics I found a mint piece of chest armour - looking more like a republic trooper now than a Hutt palace guard.
  15. Pardon my ignorance but no-one seems to mention mortar volley ? Or is there something Im missing ? Lvl 18 at mo and always use that in an opening attack. Cheers
  16. That sums it up exactly - no two ways about it. Where the OP finds his fun is anybodys guess - shame because after that epic bible length whinge I was looking forward to DESTROYING HIM
  17. First MMO - what an incredible game - absolutely loving every second of it. Great forum read as well - huge laughs at all the game creators, life experts, philosophers and guidance councillors in here - especially that bird who keeps relating playing a new game to relationships - boy are you still cheesed off your ex cheated on you. Nothing to add really apart from the enjoyment of reading all about trolls, flaming and all that rubbish forum speak that everyone adopts. So cheers and enjoy the game.. or not. Son
