  1. I think I saw a youtube vid of a speedhacker here...but it rolled away long ago now. Try searching youtube and google for it. Might be fakes ofc. Anyway I personally think that there could well be speedhackers out there, maybe not so many as people think just. But why wouldn't SWTOR be hackable when almost all other MMOs so far have had hackers of sorts?
  2. I used to crash at least once per hour on medium textures, despite good fps. Set textures to low and it seemed to reduce - hopefully eliminate - them *knock on wood*. It sucks but meh rather play with low than not at all. They kinda don't shine on medium either ofc Hope it helps someone else.
  3. And same with you. What you doing here if you don't have problems with the game? People are lying about issues rly? Well maybe some odd troll is but the majority are very likely not lying. I can guarantee you I'm not.
  4. Isn't that great for you? Why the need to turn around and basically call everyone reporting problems a liar is what I'm wondering?
  5. You Sir! You seem a reasonable and rational man, providing cronstructive input. Where is the logic from your tech standpoint that so many games run fine and then suddenly one game (SWTOR) ends in crashes? You mean TOR puts the system under so much more stress (than even crysis or rift)? Or that it uses new "code"? It's a serious question and I don't doubt you might have an answer. If so I would be grateful to hear and learn from it.
  6. I don't get why people feel the need to argue with and against players having trouble with SWTOR at all? If you're not having issues then good for you, but why troll the ones that have? Fact is for me (and apparently lots of others): I play/played lots of games on this machine (for ex Wow, Lotro, Aion, Rift, Crysis, MassEffect2 to name a few i can recall now). Not ONE of these games give me/gave me a bluescreen or any fps-issues. SWTOR gives me blue screens and sometimes fps issues (but the bsod is a bigger problem for me personally). It does not matter what settings I have in gfx. The bsod will come sooner or later. Troll logic here is : The problem is on my end. Well - in a way it is. It's my machine crashing. Now it may well be that ATI drivers are crap (wich is what I have...YES all updated OFC), it may well be that Windows 7 is crap. That's not the point. SWTOR is doing something interacting with those components that NONE of the other games I play are. Thus - I'm expecting the fix to come from Bioware and not from Microsoft or ATI.
  7. Turn off XP option isn't important at all (to me) but also wouldn't destroy PvP in the games current state. It's not possible here to +10 all your gear on a lvl 39 like in some other games...so I don't see how "twinking" would be a problem.
  8. You can't do as much as you'd like I think. I have huge loading times too on a decent computer (1-3 mins). Game also gives me Blue Screen of Death "frequently" - maybe once per 1-2 hours. I think all this is definitely on the "game side". Alot of know-it-alls of varying degrees of knowledge will likely tell you it's on your side. Just ask yourself if this is the only game giving you trouble, and you have your answer.
  9. Sometimes you have got to change current profile manually from the G13's screen. Click around on it abit and you'll figure it out. Might be the unit is locked on a different profile than the one you are seing on the software. Otherwise it's an excellent tool. You can even make a script on it that auto-pages action-bars so you get "more" than just the two at the bottom. Lovely.
  10. I'm for: * Global single server LFG tools I'm against: * Cross server LFG tools
  11. You may actually be right. But to me personally the mere fact that they care enough to make this sticky and actually communicate with players, makes me wanna stick around to give them a chance to try and improve it. To me bugs don't really destroy games (well mostly...). But unwillingness of devs to communicate openly with players about issues can destroy games (once again, for me personally). Gotta say BW show signs of wanting to improve in all these areas. Now I'm just waiting for my fanboy T-shirt to arrive in mail.
  12. Not the first thread for this but in the light of some excellent BW stickies will post some personal feedback yet again. The flashpoint shuttles on planets are excellent. Wouldn't hurt if they had their own icon (like vendors) so we could find them on "global" planetary map too. There should be shuttles directly from Fleet back to planets too. Maybe make it cost a little more than manual travel, and need unlocking like the quicktravelpoints. Atm there are far too many loadingscreens and blackouts to get from Fleet to planet. It actually makes you think twice about leaving Fleet at all. It's too much "pointless no fun-time" to get back and quest on a planet and there shouldn't be. Travel in MMOs can be fun - or at least not very tedious. It might have felt different if you actually spent the time steering your character and traveling somewhere, but you really don't. You essentially just see alot of loads and blackouts. And the same insides of spacestations/spaceports/spaceships. On top of this there is also the (different) subject of no global looking for group tool. often "better" to just stay at Fleet. On the loading screens in general: I realize it might be impossible to change this at all, but they are imo too longlasting. Nothing destroys immersion more - especially for an MMO - than a loadingsceeen. It's really a killer . If there is anyway to reduce them or even eliminate them, it would be a huge win for SWTOR. It definitely appears on the CON side atm.
  13. OP is absolutely right. It has a huge funfactor this game, but it's not finished. We are essentially playing a beta imo. Had it not been for the Star Wars brand they wouldn't have gotten away with it at all. It would have failed. Reason why it is important to post complaints: If we don't then there is no reason for the company to deal with issues. Large companies only fix what they have to. Anything else is not profit-optimization. Why would they hire extra staff (for example) if they weren't afraid they might lose subs otherwise? There is no guarantee QQ does any difference at all ofc...but it's for sure better than always patting them on the back and praising them for how amazingly good they've done. It's not the little-leagues. Let them know what needs to be fixed and whats wrong. All the time. Only way to get stuff fixed in reasonable time. Oh and for the record there has been MMO releases that are not amateurish at all, where the game was actually finished when released. And it's not WoW. Hint: It's likely not BW deciding it was time to release the game.
  14. I am also wondering. Official response please. Imo these issues are gamewreckers. Exploiters should at the very least be stripped naked all assets confiscated and distributed among the poor. Oh and ban. Seriously though these kind of cheats destroy games, please please deal with cheaters harshly and with excess force.
  15. Imo dual speccing is not needed. It would be more convinient yes but so would being able to change your whole class at will. It's a question of where to draw the line between what is convinient and what is defining for the game as a whole. Thus it's not a matter of right or wrong but as usual a matter of personal opinion. Imo: Reset skill tree cost every week (as I think is already in, but can't confirm for sure) Switch AC: No. Sometimes part of the problem here seems to be people don't think a FP (or Ops for that) can be done if you don't have the exact and only right spec for tank, heal etc. Well I think that's wrong. I'm willing to bet almost all - if not all - content can be done with great variation in setup. The need for dual spec is not that great. The need is basically just wanting for some "universal" class
  16. It's borderline pointless to post anything here, this included ofc. You post something (might be useful info even, not a QQ or anything *gasp) , and 30s later it's on 4th-5th page...meaning lost forever...since there is no search. Alot of useful info to players disappear this way, leading to players having no other way to gather intel than to start a new freaking thread that no one will see. Like this one ... making the general chat even more useless. Mama mia.
  17. I don't think anyone will be reading this since almost everyone on these forums are more intrested in posting their bs than reading other peoples bs...but maybe it helps someone...here it goes: I. THINK. RESPEC. COST. RESETS. ONCE. EVERY. WEEK. i might be wrong, but I don't think so. Worth a test?
  18. I agree. I flamed them for their eight hours and this smooth job makes me look bad.
  19. Err I think respec cost resets every week. Might wanna check that...
  20. Oh bump ffs. Stop spamming new threads with meaningless whining. Well I do that too but still...
  21. Plenty of posts about this. Dunno bout speeder, but for the graphics thing you and most people misunderstood what was actually being fixed. They never said - for ex - hi res textures where coming. And no...absolutely no fan boy...I'm angry bout other stuff.
  22. I agree for the sake of 50s and non 50s. Skip factions instead (like Huttball) initially to counter ques if needed
