  1. Can't refresh the page fast enough to get codes because I am downloading the patch with my terrible internet.
  2. I hardly feel it's a bad thing to have the same items come back during a holiday period. I missed the chance to get these items last holiday season so looked forward to their return this year so I can purchase them again, the items will always be valuable for 11 months of the year because new players who were not around during the holiday period will sign up and buy them on the GTN. New items are not a bad thing but the permanent removal of items which are listed in a collection screen is. Why would a player want to sign up to a game where he can never complete his collections because he was unlucky enough to sign up a month late. Maybe I am wrong with how I feel but it seems that never bringing these items (or others from the Cartel Market) back in the future isn't a great way to make people want to join the game. I feel the same about the mini-pets which you can only obtain via buying Cartel Coins from Amazon.com, a site which wont let most people outside the US purchase form making it US only items.
  3. I logged in saw it and laughed. I was just reading the Cartel Market Suggestions threads and there are some sets in there which would sell fast! (Mandalorian Armour) seems Bioware are pretty out of touch with their player base.
  4. I have been saving all my CC for a while now thing I would get some packs when they're next on sale, they went on sale today but I also read this thread so... Not going to buy a single one until this is fixed. I'd be better buying an armour set and selling it then using those credits to buy the items I want from the packs.
  5. This! I was away from game for a long time and now I have come back I can't get my hands on any of the old armour looks because they were just up and removed from the game. Bioware should think about finding ways to add schematics for any of the looks they remove, more things for people to find, more things for people to craft, more choices of what to wear... more happy customers!
  6. I tried some Googling and searching for this information but found anything (could just be my Google powers suck) I'm currently a subscriber but after I finish the main story and have some okay gear I plan to drop back down to preferred and play more casually until the expansion comes out (this is a secondary MMO for me) I'm thinking of using my cartel coins to pick up unlocks like the Artifact Equipment Authorisation for myself ready for that time, what I am worried about though is if I buy these and use them when I become preferred again, if I resub after that for the expansion will I lose the upgrades if I go back to to preferred again? It seem unlikely, but I would rather be safe than sorry.
  7. I was more asking about the story effects not the actual LS/DS gains. Thanks for the replies though.
  8. I have been away from the game for some time so I thought this section is once again relevant for me. I'm playing the game through again with a friend, I'm playing a Sith Inquisitor and acting very Sith so take Dark Side choices where they would give myself, the Sith or the Empire boons. My friend is playing a Bounty Hunter and is a little more willing to let traitors go, or save people (taking Light Side choices) I was wondering if there are any long term effects from LS/DS choices in the world stories, for exampled Dromund Kaas Spoilers I know when I last played at release no one was really sure as there was no new content, I was wondering if that has changed in the months I have been away.
  9. I did because FINALLY I was playing a Dark Side character with a story designed to be Dark Side. Other games always give me the feel that they were designed for the good guy and they chuck bad guy options in just to keep people happy. Also I really liked the idea of the Sith Sorcerer after reading the Darth Bane Trilogy with Darth Zannah. (little upset in SWTOR it's just lightning and not many cool spells)
  10. Great thread, thank you! I really can't believe people who exploit get upset when they're punished, they knew what they were doing. For those few who really are not aware I feel for them but it's uncommon to exploit heavily and not know what you're doing.
  11. Just to keep patching stuff and working on content. The game has a lot of issues at the moment but I figure by April many of the easy issues will be fixed and the bigger ones would of had some fair time invested into them if they're not already fixed. It's also nice to have new content coming out that I can go play.
  12. I had heard that the LS should start decreasing as DS points are earned. I would say try getting some LS points again, I had a bug a while back where I was not gaining any DS points (before being close to cap) and it only reset again when I got some LS ones. You could have that issue. Otherwise submit a support ticket, and keep checking to see if any one posts a better answer in here.
  13. I think it's because at about that level all the sidequests (non character story) really seem to lose their "oomph" I have found myself feeling more like "man I just wish this would be finished already" and less like "Man, I can't wait for that awesome conversation at the end" I would say try to mix the game modes up a bit, PVP gets you some nice EXP, and Flashpoints can be pretty for breaks from planet quest grinds. Honestly though around level 35+ I found that the game really picked up for me again because I was finally getting all those awesome skills unlock, my personal story was building for its climax and the "we must prep for war" on every planet was turning into "OMG WAR!"
  14. Doing only half the games main quests in a group of three I was social VIII by level 47. However I rerolled that character to fix some stuff and all my friends left, so yeah no social cookies for me now. You can try and group for the normal planet quests but most people just don't care, the fact they are so easy to solo you only ever really find people grouping for Heroics and Flashpoints, and even then they have done the NPC conversations and just want you around for the killing.
  15. Ilum dailies gets you some good mods, but from what I have read most people just get the PVP gear because it's faster. The hardmode Flashpoints are good as well (although I have heard you pretty much need the gear from them to be geared well enough to do them) Hopefully someone with a bit more experience in the area can reply, I was only 50 for a week and a bit before I rerolled my character because I was unhappy with some stuff (yeah I'm weird like that) In any case a free bump for you.
  16. Already being looked at by Bioware. They're making set bonus transfer, purples fully modifiable.
  17. Also this! the upgrades from the fleet commendations are really a huge boost to the ships, I couldn't actually do the minefield without using these.
  18. The last set of missions even with the best mods can be hard (although I'm sure some will dispute that) I would try some of the easier ones that are in grey first so you can learn the missions (most have two versions, a easy one and a harder one that came later) Tips for the minefield mission is to use your EMP (if you have one) to clear a whole minefield at once and if you find you're taking too much damage in another one either use the "can't lock me" buff or the "convert guns to shields" and stop shooting (shields only regen if you're not shooting) There are a few guides with more information out there that might help.
  19. You were not able to tell that before release? Most people kind of knew it was going to be very close to WoW with Star Wars setting/lore and fully VO'd quests. @OP The new video was great, showed some nice stuff heading our way, I'm sure keeping my sub going! I have only finished one of eight stories so far.
  20. I can see this being posted on the first page of every thread like this now hehe. OP the bug fixes will happen, they don't have some magic power that will do it over night and as the quoted article will explain they can't make everyone a bug fixer! Do you REALLY want that concept artist playing with the game code?
  21. QFT Honestly though as harsh as it is to say, one day Lucas will die and then there will be movies. Without him there to stop it how long do you think it will be before whoever ends up with the IP realises how much money they could make. I had heard they were making a live action TV series? unless my friend was trolling me, he seemed pretty serious though.
