  1. Yeah, RNG is a bad move. But I still enjoy PvP in this game. So I'll continue to play until a better PvP game comes along. I also play Overwatch and Warhammer Eternal Crusade, but they aren't the type of game that can completely replace SWTOR. I've enjoyed your Engineering PvP vids, so I'm sorry to see you go but I understand.
  2. This is the core of the issue right here. People are so used to all piling on the Merc and burning them down through all of their DCDs. Now they have to adopt new tactics. To those that just blindly tunnel Mercs, yeah, they seem OP as hell. To those that know how to counterplay, Mercs are stronger than what they once were, but not OP. I hope the devs understand this better than anyone and don't nerf Mercs back into free-cast heroes.
  3. It's a beautiful thing. And it ain't never changin!
  4. There will be no balance changes for Mercs until the next expansion! Until then, let Mercs enjoy their well deserved turn at being too stronk.
  5. Nice vid. Especially enjoyed the engineering sniper gameplay.
  6. It will be fixed by renaming it "Press Your Luck". And anytime you die or end up somewhere ridiculous, a Kowakian Monkey-Lizard will spawn and laugh at you repeatedly.
  7. Wizbasky has dumped SWTOR in favor of WoW.
  8. Doesn't this follow how they handled the new PvP content for 4.0? It was released after the expansion hit. And I don't remember there being mention of it on the breakdown page for that expansion. I'm not a PvEer, but it would indeed suck for my PvE brethren if BioWare went two expansions without a new Operation. I think it would be good business practice if they released both new PvP and PvE content with every expansion.
  9. Not sure if you're referring to PvE or PvP. The only PvE I do is single player story stuff, so my rotation is from a PvP perspective. The basic in-cover rotation is as follows: Plasma Probe + Interrogation Probe + Corrosive Dart + [Laze Target + Target Acquired] + Explosive Probe + EMP + Frag Grenade + Series of Shots + Overload Shot (x2). If the target is being healed or is a healer, I'll toss in Shatter Shot before EP. If I'm kiting or chasing, the rotation is the same, except I just drop Series of Shots until I have a moment to drop into cover and get it off without either taking any or too much damage if I'm kiting, or my target getting out of range if I'm chasing. If I'm in a situation where I need quick burst: [Laze Target + Target Acquired] (if they're up) + Explosive Probe + IP + EMP + Frag + SoS Of course with PvP being very dynamic, in certain situations it may make more sense to mix and match abilities to best meet the current circumstance rather than stick to a rotation. Also, be sure to use Takedown as soon as it lights up, before the target can get healed above 30%, regardless of where you are in a rotation.
  10. Not sure if you're asking for a saboteur class tree or if you meant guide. But if it's a class tree Here's a discipline calculator at Dulfy http://dulfy.net/2014/10/13/swtor-disciplines-calculator-swtor_miner/?link=dGEAAAEKAQEBAAAAAAAAAAAA If you meant guide, other than the Engineering PvP guide on The Angry Sniper's YouTube channel, I don't know of anything else off-hand written or video specifically for Saboteur.
  11. The elitism comes from you implying that only guilds deemed good at PvP should have the word PvP in their guild name. That's your opinion, though an elitist one. My opinion is that guilds should feel free to name themselves whatever they want, regardless of skill level, as long as it's within ToS rules.
  12. I prefer Saboteur. It has a good combination of burst, mobility, and utility. Sabotage Charge + Sabotage + Thermal Grenade + Series of Shots provides good burst. Most of your abilities can be used on the run providing good mobility. Incendiary Grenade has utility on top of being an AoE DoT and Snare. It can also be used to stop caps, and reveal stealthers. Scatter Bombs on your roll has a 3 second root that is not affected by resolve. On top of all that, it's just extremely fun to play. Check out some vids by The Angry Sniper at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC02vGJoSCtMctcDbKQr4Pcg He plays the Imperial version (Engineering Sniper) but it'll give you an idea of what Saboteur plays like.
  13. Stay cool. Don't be E. Lee Tist.
  14. This has been my experience lately. Outside of primetime, Pubs have a hard time filling a full team. While it seems Imps always have full teams and on top of that run premades 24/7. And most premades just like to death match. Sometimes I can exploit this by kiting them away from objectives so the rest of my team can cap. I've been in several matches where Imps won't bother to flip a cap back to them. They'll lose the match due to objectives, but are just satisfied to marvel at their kill count. But I guess that's just what it's come to at this stage of the game when you're done min/maxing your gear so you don't need coms, you don't need valor for anything, and there's only been one new PvP map added to the game in years, and it's not all that exciting. But even with all the Imp premades., Imp trolling, and Pubs being the underdog, I still enjoy PvP on the Pub side. I guess I'm just crazy like that.
  15. It's on the wish-list. It would be an out of combat type of stealth where we could start from stealth, but not be able to escape into stealth. I've played other games where sniper type characters had this ability. Sadly, however, I doubt it'll ever be implemented in this game.
  16. From what I understand, you only get credit once for either Fleet datacron. So if you did the republic one, then tried to do the Imp one, you wouldn't get any added stats. I did the one on Pub side since that one you can solo by positioning two of your own characters at various points sequentially (they don't have to be logged in at the same time). As for finishing the rest of the Imp side datacrons, they all range between 2-4 Endurance. So if you take an average of 3, then multiply by how many you have left to do, you can estimate what your final HP will be.
  17. Unless those Juggs are using endurance crystals instead of expertise, there is no way to hit 90K. Even with all datacrons, you will top out at ~88,200 hp. Only Sin tanks can get 90K+ HP and still have 2018 expertise because they get two passive endurance buffs.
  18. Like Es'carli mentioned, it's very situational. The more you PvP, the more you'll start to recognize the situations where you'll need to re-position, kite, or pre-kite. If there are a lot of pullers and leapers around, use your roll even if it's just to re-position. They're always on the look-out for when you stand up out of cover.
  19. Because Bioware owns Nvidia and can make them do what ever they want.
  20. Cull and SoS on the move make sense. But Ambush is supposed to be a highly precise, high power, take your time and aim type of shot. It doesn't make sense to be able to do that on the move. I like the stealth idea. Being able to start from stealth, but not able to escape into stealth would be fitting.
  21. Maybe we'll get an extra utility point in the expansion to set things right.
