  1. Cross faction PVP is lore breaking? Really? So the following things have not been lore breaking? Listen if you want to RP and immerse yourself in SW lore by all means go ahead. In my experiance PvP is the Least conductive atmosphere for immersion and RP. Its kinda hard to immerse oneself in the story when peeps are screaming in chat about "LoL scrub get Owned!" Or comparing male organ sizes. If you want to experiance RP join an RP guild. While times it can get cringy, at least most people I have rp'd with are fanatics when it comes to SW lore. Who knows? Maybe you might make a friend or two?
  2. I'm having issues logging in as well. My ISP is google fiber. Yesterday It took forever to login, but today I cant get past server selection.
  3. Well for me most of the best stories in the game are imp. The imp stories provide great lore and backround info on the dark side that is really fascinating . Also, the first story arc I finished was a LS Sith Warrior. So I guess I'm a little sentimental there. But mechanics-wise the Sith toons overall have better animations(Although dirty kick gets me laughing anytime). Also the Pub heroics in general are badley designed imo. I don't know how people with pub mains get through doing pub alderaan more then once. Also you have to admit all the variations of the Sith Empire Music theme are pretty awesome to listen too.
  4. Hi, I'm not really new per se, but I have never had to report a player. Last night I recived a nasty whisper message from a player. I was unable to right click thier name to report them as they had logged off. I want to know what do I do from here? Do I write a ticket? How much info should I put in there( i.e. should I write down word for word what the message said?) I also took a screenshot of the message. Do I send it to them, and if so how? ANy awnser would be appreciated.
  5. Umm Look I play on my Server(BC) for two reasons. One it was the first server I saw(live in central, We don't get a server cuz we aint cool enough ) and two, for the RP there. I'm in a fun RP guild. I like the RP atmoshpere on impside. If we were merged with Harb, it would destroy the RP oppertunities. So how bout no to merging with Harb huh?
  6. Look I really doubt Merging Bergeron and Harb are a good idea. Begereon is an RP server. Which means Fleet RP happens, RP guilds can do rp events on planets and( for the most part) not be harrassed. You merge harby and Begeron together, and all the RP aspects of Begeron will be gone, sucked in by the toxcity of harb. Look I get people want PVP pops 24/7 or having a strong ops community. Heck the RP guild I am does do PVP from time to time. We even started doing some Ops together. But In my opinion, Harb and Begeron do not need to be merged for these reasons. If they someone really just wants to do OPS or PVP 24/7, just go to Harb, leave my RP server alone.
  7. Look I think if we're going to talk about mergers we need to have a disscussion on how these communities fit. Lets take BC, the server I play on for example. Now BC is an RP server. While it has its fair share of toxic players it is a good community imo. It has fleet RP(on impisde at least) and generally has some interesting players on it. Now imagine if it got merged with Harbinger. The fleet RP scene would die. Any RP guilds trying to do rp storylines on various planets would probably get harrasssed while doing so. These communities would not mesh well together. Now that being said, I do think some servers should get merged(i.e Jung Ma). But saying that All servers must be merged is a shorted-sighted idea imo.
  8. As a male, I can say that I loathe both quinn and Kaliyo. But Kaliyo more so beacuse she lies to you all the time. But I guess I can see why people like and even want to romance Quinn.
  9. I think when server mergers are talked about we need to consider one important point. Would both server communities mesh well? For example I play on the Begaren Colony server. While we do have our fair share of trolls and such, it is as a whole a respectful community. While pvp and pve happens it is mainly an RP server. Now lets say they tried to merge BC with Harbinger, do you think it would mesh well? In my opinion, it would not. The RP community there would fall apart, and the rp atmosphere on fleet would go away. As someone who does RP in this game I would be hesitant to accept a server merge without an examination of both server communities.
  10. So I have only been playing since april, and I have noticed that you can get some things with cartel certs. I heard they are really hard to get, but what is the reasonaing behind this? Why not release them for GC or something?
  11. So are the unassembled drops that will come in the new patch ops be charecter wide or party-wide. I.E. you have roll for a headpiece vs everyone getting the headpiece.
  12. Okay I know little about computers but I am having a weird problem. Sometimes at random times my frame rate will drop when the laptop is plugged in, like to 15fps, but when its unplugged it will go to like 60 fps. It is annoying and I honestly have no clue why itss happening any help would be appreciated
  13. I first started playing the game in late april, I actually consider myself a less then perfect player. Heck, I plain suck at pvp. But I managed to clear my first op in June. I did so in 208 crystal gear on my deception assasin. It was Kragga's Palace Story mode I believe. While I know that Op is considered easy, it was still tough. But you know what? A 'casual' like me was able to clear it, on an rp server. I listened to instructions, and tried my best. This experiance, along with the few ops I have run or attempted to run in PUGs, have shown me that casuals like me can indeed partake in raids, all they have to do is listen and actually try . In 4.0 getting 208 crystal gear was so easy(well mainhands were tough to get). I could gear up an alt and if I so wanted could get into story mode ops quite easily. But 5.0 has personally made it harder to get new alts geared to even do ops. I personally have not run an op in 5.0(too busy with RP ) The new gearing system actually hurts casuals who don't have unlimited time to grind conten 24/7 for a chance at getting good gear. I can tell you that if this new gearing system had been implemented when I first started playing, I would have just played the story and noped out of the rest of the content. Heck the main reason I keep playing is to RP with my bros and to get occasioanly pwnd in pvp . In my lowly opinion 5.0 gearing doesn't include anyone. All it does is suck the fun out of the game.
  14. Look I have only been here since late april, sub since mayish, smack dab in the middle of 4.0. I haven't done every single operation yet. I PvP, I do story, and I have started doing RP. I guess I consider myself a semi-casual player. That all said, I think the RNG gearing is terrible. I hate the randomness, the gambling that this whole system relies on. I wouldn't have minded the grind if they had kept the token system in place and we would get a gaurenteed token every 20 command levels or so. Look in all honesty I don't need BiS to do everything in the game I want to do, but I recognize that others need it. I would rather have the maximum number of players happy in the game versus me. I want the addtion of alll types of content. If one part of the community is not being supported, we all suffer. The more people that unsub, this game becomes a little less fun to play. I know most likely that my words will fall on deaf ears, but I can't simply keep quiet any longer: For the sake of the peeps who love this game please, Stop the RNG.
  15. I managed to solo the [Heroic 2+] version last night on my Vengence Jugg. I had a mixture of 208-216 gear with some augments. For a comp I had a level 29 influence Vette on heals. Also I am a legendary player with all of the prescenence buffs as well. I found it to be moslty doable. The only tricky bit was in the final core fight. I had trouble figuring out the mechanics of absorbing the energy thing from the Exharch. Also the platform jumps can mess up the direction you went, and you might end up walking off the platform. But as long as you know your rotation, use DCDs, and keep your comp alive, you should be fine.
