  1. I'm not being short sighted at all. You know what the best way to garner continuing support for a game or product is? To make a product that doesn't suck. I'm not interested in the financial success of this game because it's a bad game. If it was a good game we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
  2. TOR is the easiest and least time consuming MMO ever released. Stop kidding yourself.
  3. You people seem to have a hard time differentiating between "financial sucess" and "good video game". Who the **** cares if EA makes money or not? I don't. The game sucks, that is what I care about.
  4. I didn't ignore anything. The end game "story" is a complete joke in a game that is supposed to be about story. Why are there only 2 flashpoints that really have any amount of story in them in the entire game? It's a "story based MMO BRO", remember? derp
  5. They are just different business models. GW kept a steady cash flow through expansions and microtransactions. Guild Wars isn't truly "free to play", you still have to buy the actual game, there is just no subscription fee. Guild Wars only sells cosmetic items in the store such as costumes "gear skins" and weapon skins. There is no "pay to win". GW2 will employ the same business model. What do you get in a subscription based game that you don't get in a F2P game? Not much honestly. Anyway, I'm not a huge Guild Wars expert, in fact I didn't even really like the first game though I do own it.
  6. I know what you mean, that's the only reason I still login. I tank some raids once a week and don't login again until the next week. Luckily for me a lot of us play other games together as well.
  7. Nah bro. In 1.2 when you enter a dungeon you can press the "I'm a noob and just like story" button and it shows you the EPIC Bioware crafted story of the raid. i.e. "Karaga has a funny hat, kill him and take it!" and "Some dude in prison has been practicing throwing statues at platforms for 20,000 years, he must be stopped before the Empire's platform reserves are attacked". EPIC *********** STORY
  8. Why do you even bother to login to do daily quests? Is that fun for you?
  9. Hey! I said mechanics... though I guess you could count bugs as mechanics in this game. The bugs are more complicated to figure out than the bosses actual "mechanics". Soa is the only fight with some semblance of phases/structure. Everything else is just the same 10-30 second pattern repeated for 5 minutes.
  10. You people act as if clearing raids actually requires effort in the first place. In fact, I'm fairly sure that finding a vendor, clicking him, and buying something is much more complicated than the boss mechanics in the TOR's ops.
  11. You uninstall and cancel your sub!
  12. I'm pretty sure Lego Star Wars is better if we are only counting recent releases.
  13. There is nothing more immersive than loading screens and dead, instanced worlds. So we can agree on that point. I can think of about a half dozen or so Star Wars games that are better than TOR off the top of my head.. X-Wing TIE Fighter Dark Forces KOTOR KOTOR 2 Shadows of the Empire Empire at War etc, etc ,etc Yup.
  14. Buy into the propaganda more please. Over hyped game has highest week one sales in a genre that's been dominated by one game that was released almost a decade ago? HUGE *********** SURPRISE! This must mean the game is good. For proof of this, go look up how many completely terrible games have sold 2 million copies.
  15. Yes, you just accept the **** that is being shoveled into your mouth with a grin. Congrats on that.
  16. Why is it that the only people who actually like TOR have that stupid Hutt avatar?
  17. While we are on the topic of people putting "N's" where they don't belong... THERE IS NO "N" IN TURRET. "TURRENT" IS NOT A WORD.
  18. It's funny that people keep saying things like this about TOR. TOR is the easiest, most casual friendly MMO I've ever played. It's a complete joke. Anyone who thinks they are "hardcore" because they pay to beta test a game is delusional.
  19. I'm in the same boat as the OP. We clear both raids on NM in one night and then have nothing to do all week. My main is a battlemaster (pre 1.1), but I got fed up with the bag system so I pretty much stopped PVPing. I leveled an alt to 50 and tanked normal mode raids with him in level 45-ish DPS gear... And that's that. I cancelled my sub and login only to tank raids for my guild once a week. I'd simply stop playing altogether, but I made a commitment to my friends in my guild to tank raids. I don't want to leave them high and dry. That being said, none of them really seem to be enjoying themselves either, it's almost like we are just going through the motions at this point.
