  1. Nice to see some of these posts. I brough this up in beta and majority of the players at the time were against the 1/2 idea.
  2. So, you're arguing that an ability that doesn't hit harder than the primary spec abilities, can only be used on week/normal mobs, and is useless in all the important content is a big deal? At 49 my annihilates were doing 2k+ non crit, and at 49-50 even Vslash wouldn't be far behind what you're calling your biggest his with savage kick, only with no setup, and it works everywhere. Sounds to me like you turned your back on dps some time ago.
  3. I do it all the time, charge a guy running through the fire and Force camo out(I'm annihilation) or sometimes I'll charge someone cutting through the acid and do the same thing. It's easy free damage, and something marauders are capable of using as much as anyone else.
  4. I'm guessing you guys had all the debuffs stacked on these guys? I was only able to pull 1340 with no cds and 1400 with them on council(not fully rakata or remodded, yet) But I'd also be missing the armor debuffs and such, it just didn't seem like the thing to cause that large of a gap.
  5. It helps a surprisingly large number of abiltiies. As an annihilation marauder, my bleed dmg is considered force, and all boosted by willpower.
  6. They can give you accurate comparisons(Per player only) with council. It's very easy to time your council from hit to kill and math out the dps. While it isn't an accurate representation of your output for all content, it's still a good "patchwerk" fight to see your own dps in a burn fight.
  7. Your entire argument(here) is based off of the banter you kicked off with. You have no valid evidence backing the opinion you are stating as a fact. Off spec options doesn't present any valid reason for a hybrid tax, because the scenarios you've been talking about keeping mara's out of raids or imaginary.
  8. Berserk is not better than bloodthirst for your raid. That's one of the more ridiculous claims I've seen while browsing this thread. They don't suffer a dps loss for the reason of offspec options, they have a bit lower dps because it wasn't balanced as well as devs intended. Secondary roles have nothing to do with it according to Bioware's announced intent.
  9. This makes no sense to me. Raid gear is so easily available that Most people I know are able to have 2 sets of gear or be working on a second shortly after a month of starting.
  10. I did the questline at 49 on my mara, and the only reason I died the first time is because quinn spawned in the death field and died immediately. There's some good advice in the previous posts, and should be more than enough to help you work your way through it. Also, he really is the hardest fight in the story.
  11. Thank you. I hate people listing 30 abilties where 20 or so are situational, for pvp when they make a pve argument, etc. I play a marauder, and I know we use a lot of abilties and have some noticeable cons, but we don't need 30 keybinds to play.
  12. Your post didn't really back up the argument. You aren't using all of those abilities at all times, regardless of spec. There is much less need for abilities per situation than people make it sound, you just need to know when and how to use them.
  13. If you're using that many, you're doing it wrong. While there are a lot of abilites, you aren't going to be using 30 of them all the time. Many abilities are situational or spec supported, and you should really only need 6-8(guestimate) keys for damage abilities based on spec, and then your cds and other abilities. I really can't see you needing to use more than 15 keys excluding a key for pots and such if you're playing within the lines of your spec. The number may not be exact, but yours is way off.
