  1. Can we get a confirm on what level of UT was used? 5 or 6? And I never heard of Underworld Trading or Investigation giving gear. I'd think maybe Treasure Hunting makes more sense.
  2. Yep, and that's the point exactly. It's to make Bioware realize there are discrepancies in their policies and hope that they fix them. Because this can either be one of the best MMO for the year 2012, or it can just be single player games that people do the storyline content then quit and move onto another game. To make this a successful it's not just important to focus on bugs, but also on the community. And right now I feel that there is not enough attention being given to the actual consequences of the decisions made which negatively turn the community against Bioware. Aka, giving an advantage to the Republic. You'll see the Empire outcry about it, but then you'll watch as they suddenly switch sides all of a sudden to share the advantage. (Heck, I suspect people would be satisfied if it was at least balanced out.)
  3. Long story short. You're implying that the fact they all play Empire isn't Bioware's fault. But the fact is that the Empire is glamourized by Bioware in every aspect of the game. Advantages in actual classes, advantages in storylines, and advantages in gear. Addressing these problems *might* help people switch back to Republic, but it's likely too late and based on the decisions made regarding Ilum without player feedback being listened to it is likely that future 'decisions' may negatively impact the factions more then actually benefit them by putting on a bandaid.
  4. Reason #1: Slight advantages exist within the 'mirrored' classes that make the Empire slightly better. This occurs for Imperial Agent, Bounty Hunter, and Inquisitor (Sorcerer) Reason #2: Empire gets dark, black, good looking outfits. Republic, look like clowns. Reason #3: Morality and Story choices. Imperial Agent is said to be the best story, and followed shortly after by the Bounty Hunter. Realistically, this is open to argument of preference, but there is a lot that goes into making the players want to not play the Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior (because perhaps they are too popular) Reason #4 Perspective of old games carry over, and some perceive the 'Empire' as equivalent to another game, where they wish to play in the bad faction. Reason #5 Overpopulation dictates that you go to the side where you know you'll have a winning advantage. So with these reasons listed, can Bioware perhaps put some effort into making it so that the Republic is equally attractive to play? Or perhaps cite some reasons why you think that they are already, because it seems to me that the game balance is intentional and they want the Empire to be the stronger force and the Republic to be the underdogs.
  5. Same problem on Veela, a lot of the battlemasters who have gotten bored of the raid content and aren't challenged have been spending every hour working on PvP and loving it. We have a large Empire population like most, but our premades consistently won the matches against the Empire because we had more effort, and gear to get there as well as skill. Now, its sort of demoralizing to know all that effort meant nothing.
  6. So the warzone Alderaan has a series of gun turrets, the problem comes in when we capture an objective. We being, Republic in this case captures the far left (west) capture point first. You see it turn green, within the next 10 seconds, Empire captures far right (east). The Empire right base, fires first. Every time giving them a 5 point lead. Mind you, it's not a huge lead, but there's either a problem with the eastern gun point firing faster then both mid, and left. (I've seen where mid/left captured first, then right capped Empire and it was still firing first.) Or Empire are inherently loved more, I don't know but this is an issue which does need to be fixed eventually.
  7. 2 bags a day. 2 extra bags on Tuesday. 16 bags a week. Thats 16x3 champion tokens. 48. Figure that you get 3 champion tokens for the entire week. There is a total of 9 item slots. Even if you're lazy, 2 months of PVP non stop isn't terrible to get a full set. And this is assuming you're relatively unlucky.

  9. I don't get the 'wind up' any more, but instead when I try to use a command I mash the keys six times before it responds. I've tried both keys and clicking and it's having the same problem. This is post 1.1 patch, can anyone else confirm? I thought this might have been due to ability action queue window but the problem still persists even when I put it to 0.0 So long story short, lack of responsiveness from Sentinel attacks and abilities not proccing when I click them (delay force kick, saber ward, rebuke, transcendence, etc.)
  10. Republic here, I rode around the Empire base while they were too busy killing hundreds of Republics in our base and killed the ones who were alone. Win.

    How to fix Ilum.

Simple, the bolster system boosts stats based on level. Redesign the system so that it takes the # of Republic in the zone, and the # of Empire are balanced out with the bolster system. So if there is a number discrepancy the Republic players get their stats modified to higher amounts to balance out the difference. It's either that or balance out the population in the zone and limit the phases based on a cap of 24 players per battleground.
  12. Bioware has a server for testing, they also have their own testers. Did they really think this new system was an improvement? Already we've got people farming valor to 100. Which is just going to mess up the next set of PVP gear put into place.
  13. If that were true, then it wouldn't break stealth when you try to capture an objective.
  14. Is this exploit, or working as intended? Because, it's becoming more common. For those that do not know an individual will capture an objective in stealth, and then a second person (Imperial agent/scoundrel) will cloak them with the area effect cloaking field to capture an objective without any sign of it. Not that said class isn't already viable in PVP Warzones, but this seems more on the side of abusing their abilities then anything. Can a dev confirm?
  15. @StephenReid As someone who is happy with his community on the server Veela, I do not feel that cross server queues will improve my enjoyment of the game. While I recognize and feel sympathetic to those individuals with difficulty, I would rather fight against players on my own server then ones on another one. To that end, for low population servers I hope that you can offer this. But to those of us with a strong community already, I'd like to see that we're allowed to build rivalries within our own servers that way we can create long lasting rivalry and by virtue of that a stronger relationship for Empire vs Republic. It's bad enough dealing with inexperienced players from my own server without bringing in ones from other places who I can't communicate with to help them
  16. I've noticed a bug in the latest patch there is a trick some people are using they cap a door without breaking their stealth. I've seen it happen 3 times tonight in 2 different warzones. As I do not play a stealth class I can't identify it. Can anyone confirm or deny it? Have they encountered it also?
  17. 100% accuracy is good enough as previous posts stated, rest invest in surge/critical. Don't go surge crit and 90% accuracy however, you lose a lot of damage potential and armor piercing.
  18. Solo. I use T7. He's better then Doc, he holds threat as they kill him while I can go crazy dps. With a guardian and Doc, I like to use Kira and me as dps. It's the perfect party compliment. Against other players, Doc is good. Healing helps you win, focus down their healer NPC, then **** them hard and fast.
  19. Accuracy/power is important, make sure it's 100%. After that crit/surge is okay, but there's a lot of diminishing returns with critical and surge.
  20. Found mine as a random blue container on Balmorra or Belsavis if I remember right. The pants are sold by the specialty vendor on Belsavis.
  21. "Veteran Elder Blade's Vest" I pair it with Hardened Flexiglass Headgear, Venerable Ardent Warrior's Gloves, Boots, and Pants. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7159/6585617187_382d924538_b.jpg
  22. Venator Falco, what are you comparing the class to exactly? Can you say you're 'on par' with any other class and please cite specific examples. This isn't, "I can level to 50.' This is I'm viable in my groups with Watchman/Combat/Focus versus other classes that do the same damage as me. This is viability of a class in given flashpoints, raids, and other heroic modes. A Trooper, Inquisitor, or a Imperial Agent can solo many heroic 2 man classes. You can say you got through your story but when's the last time you did content harder and higher then your level? I got through to 50 just as well, but I quested when I was 3-5 levels higher then the area I was in to compensate for it.
  23. There's a white version of the bladefury set, thats the one I wear. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7159/6585617187_382d924538_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7018/6585617059_f4ede696da_b.jpg
