  1. It's ironic, Bioware was so concerned we blew through the content of 1.0 and 1.1 that they added time sinks so we'd do it slower and spend more time unlocking Warzones, raids, and legacy. The problem is? We don't want to deal with that level of effort because the return does not match the reward. Simple Reward theory if you want us to play the game and enjoy it don't make us run in a hamster wheel to get a treat ;p
  2. With Server Transfers on the Horizon, I wanted to ask about a pressing concern considering Guilds. Namely, if we leave our server will our guild disband, and we'll lose all the money we spent on guild bank upgrades? Assuming this is the case, do you have any intention of giving credit refunds when the transfers go through or are we out of luck?
  3. Except people are stupid because Bioware has already stated they are not charging for relocation to the designated servers. So while you might pay to go to Fatman, which has a full community, you will not have to pay to go to Ajunta Pall. (If it's a designated server)
  4. Moonshadow you're mistaken. It's to move empty servers to build communities. Reread the developer notes. No one is 'paying' anything, there's specific servers that are allowed to be moved to. That's the only restriction and it's not moving overpopulated servers to underpopulated, quite the opposite.
  5. Seeing as how the game started with Bioware using pre-launch guilds and placing them on servers, I'd like to pitch to them and see if it is feasible to get the next implementation rolled out. Namely, when the time comes for server transfers, that guilds are given the option to move all of their members along with the new policies. It maintains the strong communities, and keeps the pre-selected allies and adversaries grouped together. Ideally I'd prefer people come to my server, but failing that I'll settle for keeping the friends and foes along for the ride. Hehe.
  6. It was a surprise. It fit into the lore of the game. We received pets, armor, and crystals which were all a nice perk. It even influenced the in game economy, people selling DNA, etc. The storyline and lore was cool. The new world bosses were great and even brought out a good dose of fresh PvP to the server. New titles. And exploration. Woo. Pretty much you hit on all the elements of something people like, a mystery. exploration, rewards, and strong challenges for both PvE and PvP.
  7. I don't see new Sentinel gear on the Light Side vendor. Weird. The Warrior Captain and the Advanced Spec Ops Boots have been there for a really long time. I guess they added the Warrior Captain's Gauntlets (blue level 9 gear, no mods)
  8. Except this isn't just about stats it's about CUSTOMIZATION. Which is #1 on Bioware's priority. They promised us the ability to remove the armoring mods from our gear and put them into sets. But to promise that, and then give us tank armor seems to be a contradiction. Sets need to maintain the class armoring that is best for said class. Tank ones for tanks, Sage healers need to maintain armoring which does not give them too much endurance as it cripples them. Sentinels need might ones so that they can actually do more damage, it's not like they don't get endurance that way also.
  9. I am hoping that Bioware reads this and can fix it before the Nightmare versions come out so that I do not have to waste 2 months (8 weeks *if* I get a piece every week) to gear up in this set. It may take more if the dice gods do not favor me on the loot rolling. P.S. Pfft, maruaders don't need guard to hold threat hehehe.
  10. Alright here's a template of what 'ideal' mods are required, and as it turns out I will need to get 7 mods from the vigilance set of armor for the guardian class for my Sentinel. The good news is they exist in 2 of the Sentinel piece as well. But regardless, here's the notes. Black Hole Itemization - Medium armoring Boots - +68 Strength/+49 Endurance, Gloves - +68, 49. Legs - +68, 49. Chest, Head - bad armoring modifications. Heavy armoring - helm - +68, 49 -Chest - +68, 49 Campaign Heavy armoring -chest - +68, 49. (Will it come with guardian set bonus? Probably not worth getting. ) -helm - +68, 49 (Will it come with guardian set bonus? Probably not worth getting. ) Sentinel -Boots, gloves, +68, 49. (augmented gear possible) -helm - bad. (will have to retain Rakata set piece for 4 piece bonus) -Chest - bad. (augmented gear possible, using black hole chest mod no set bonus) -Legs - bad. (will have to retain Rakata set piece for 4 piece bonus) Want Enhancement (in enough mixes of gear to get a full set before the rest) +27 endurance, +57 accuracy, +41 critical +27 endurance, +41 power, +57 surge Want Mods +68 str,+41 end, +12 power +68 str, +41 end, +12 crit Campaign Heavy DPS HEAD (proper modification) CHEST (proper modification) Campaign Medium DPS BOOT (proper armoring modification) GLOVE (proper armoring modification)
  11. When you input a raid key, it links to the website and you can check all of your logs there with the raid key.
  12. What drives me crazy is, if you want to give us more health. That's fine, put it on the mods, put it on the enhancements. Don't put it on our main set of armoring, that's just retarded.
  13. Truth be told I don't expect a lot of this problem to be fixed in the current gear set. But I want Bioware to understand that putting these odd armoring into sets is causing problems for their new custom gear design as the armoring carries set bonus. I hope the issue is corrected before Nightmare comes out, so that itemization will make more sense. I just feel bad for the guys who try to develop the new content with the so called 'new' gear. Sages will be hurt by this as much as Sentinels.
  14. Will Bioware repair the bad itemization decisions they made in 1.2 as it negatively impacts a number of classes? Ex. Putting tank armoring in dps gear for new PvE sets (Black Hole, Campaign) Sentinel has 3 of 5. Increasing Sage health pools, making their 'sacrifice' conversion higher HP loss and therefore harder for them to recover and heal since it works off of a percentage. There's more, but I don't want to go on a diatribe.
  15. Thus far due to wishing to retain my Rakata set bonus I have to wear custom chest, 4 piece Rakata gloves, boots, legs, head, 2x custom sabers. I have itemization conflicts with my gear, due to them giving me a pair of boots and gloves with the correct might armoring in my campaign set. The remaining 3 are guardian armoring (heavy into endurance) So I won't be able to use my set bonus if I want the correct itemization, I'll need to make sure that I continue to wear 2 pieces (I.E. Legs, the most mismatched pants in the entire set which don't color match, and the helmet visor which I make invisible because I dislike the appearance.) Essentially I grab the armoring from the vigilance set black hole helmet, put it into my Rakata headpiece. I grab the legs out of my black hole and put it into the Rakata legs. Boots, and gloves I can update to the new Campaign set. But for all the customization of gear I'm being forced to micromanage my own appearance to an individual single set of gear. It makes me sad
  16. I don't understand Bioware, was there somewhere where you thought that Sentinels were off tanks? Why are 3 of our 5 armoring mods, the ones which you promised we can move into our custom gear guardian armoring? Not only did you do that, but you also gave us strange combinations of mods. The Guardian/Vigilance in the gloves and their chest has the correct mod. (Heavy into strength/endurance, and like a touch of power) I'm going to have to buy their campaign gear to replace my mods, I'm going to have to buy the sage and the trooper gear for the power/surge enhancements, and I'm going to have to buy black hole guardian helmets, the campaign chest and helmet, and the black hole armoring to put into my Rakata set so I don't lose my 4 set bonus. Black Hole - Sentinel Boots - +68 Strength/+49 Endurance. Gloves - +68, 49. Legs - +68, 49. Ours. Chest, Head - bad slot. Theirs Vigilance armoring - helm - +68, 49 Campaign Vigilance -chest - +68, 49. -helm - +68, 49 Sentinel -Boots, gloves, +68, 49. -helm - bad. Chest - bad. Legs - bad. I'm just trying to understand your rationale, why would you take my Rakata set and make the Campaign set give me less strength and more endurance? Are you lacking in the understanding that my main stat is more important? Do you think I'm an off tank? Is that why you gave the off tank spec, for the guardian DPS more of the mods and equipment that the Sentinels need? What drives me more crazy is that when next patch comes to fix the itemization I am already a Frankenstein monster and will have to replace the mods in my equipment if I want them to upgrade. So I can understand that you don't get the math but I'll ask that when you finally release the 2.3 set for the nightmare raid, please don't do this to us again.
  17. (Not to hijack the thread, but thought I'd offer some advice.) Sentinels and marauders are good about closing the gap on Sages. But what they hate more then anything is Line of Sight. Run around a pillar, use a building, fight on top of a pillar, and use knockbacks right after they force leap. The trick to beating Sentinels and Marauders is to not let them get to you. Hit them with slows, stuns, knockbacks. My second bit of advice is to see which people do well in losing Warzones. That's right, losing Warzones. If they do well that means that you don't need to carry them. Talk to these people after the losing matches and ask them to group up and queue together. This will vastly improve your PvP experience, and I recommend going with a normal party configuration. 1 healer, 1 tank, and 2 dps. When I queue my group of choice is 1 sentinel/marauder, 1 sage/sorcerer healer, 1 shadow/assassin tank, and either a melee based agent/scoundrel for an extra stealth in your party. Stealth is such an invaluable tool for catching the enemy offguard that I like to run with 2 in my party and it's helped for capturing nearly any points, as well as for shadows pull based abilities and massive healing for their tank specs. Toss in the ability to instantly vanish and they can save a single capture point, or take it over before anyone realizes.
  18. Each 'weekly' and daily quests gives 396 commendations a day, 3168 a week. Estimation of 4 weeks is 12, 672. Sorry snappy, read the text the weekly is in there. And it's 99/99 every day, not 800. As for the 125, I get 135-140 a match. I'm sorry you're not as good as I am ;p Pic, in case you don't believe me heh. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5160/6952156886_ca0915b242_b.jpg
  19. So the good news. weeks with the new system. 100 for an average game. 60 being the low, 140 being the high. 28250 total rated war zone commendations. 84750 warzone commendations. Each 'weekly' and daily quests gives 396 commendations a day, 3168 a week. Estimation of 4 weeks is 12, 672. 72, 078 commendations. Let us now assume that each match is 100. A total of 720 matches approximately will be required to get all the gear. 30 days in a month. 24 matches a day for 30 days will be enough to get you a full suit of gear. A slight improvement from the original of 25 matches for 45 days. (Still based on a six hour play time model)
  20. This message brought to you by the local tank class with pulling abilities.
  21. I'm a full battlemaster, I end up in a queue with 5 people who have between 12-15k health to my 17k. I'm fighting against a 'rated' geared side and losing consistently because the people on my team are badly geared. If I drop queue, at the start and pick up 2 more people and then queue I avoid getting into that same problematic warzone again. Additionally I get the chance to fight against another group of people who are not geared so well on the enemy side. So... speaking as someone who doesn't want to continue to lose with the same group (because queues tend to overlap) I'll pass staying in the Warzone and leave now. kthxbai.
  22. Just an update to my math, the weekly/daily quest of 99/99 are equivalent of 396 warzone commendations, or roughly 5 matches worth of commendations. So 20 matches a day for 45 days for a full set + daily and weekly. With the current nerf reward at a rate of 40-90 with an average of 65 per match. Lets hope they fix the 'losing' reward or it'll increase the grind even more.
  23. This 100%, I don't know why you punish some classes with accuracy. Accuracy is not that great in PvE for melee based classes. Surge and power is much more useful.
