  1. I've been doing every mission including heroics on each planet playing my consular, and right now am finishing up Corellia (just a few final quests remain). I don't remember a single heroic which didn't autocomplete, none of them required to return and speak to someone. I'd much like this auto-complete to be optional, as well, just like the quick transport to heroic site.
  2. Um, what. It sounds like you're looking at some achievements tab, because I don't think there's anything like those numbers on the faction legacy unlocks tab (which is there you should be looking for the companion unlocks indicating you've completed their storylines). Switch to the Republic/Empire legacy unlocks tab (the one which lists your unlocked class emotes/buffs/heroic moment abilities and companions for each faction class), and check if you can see all your companion portraits in a row there. Those whose story has been completed have their portraits displayed, while those who still have conversations remaining are empty dark-gray squares.
  3. This appears to have been stealth-fixed in 4.0.3. Fix isn't in the patch notes, but the empty-undefined entries in mission log are gone, and all companions are conversing with me regularily. Thank you, Bioware, now I can play again.
  4. Yeah, this is driving me nuts. Please fix it already. Occasionally, it randomly starts working (buffs are reapplied), but then it's gone again after I switch companions.
  5. Most bonus series have been scaled to lvl 60-65, you won't be able to pick them up before that. They now provide additional KotFE endgame advisor supplies as rewards. Not a bug, but a very weird and inconvenient design decision.
  6. You get increased XP (6x if I remember correctly) from class quests and "critical path" planetary quests - all those marked with a purple quest icon, and by design you should be able to level only with those (as outlined in one of 4.0 blogs). I believe there are also some non-purple quests (their icons do not have the little "+" sign so they're not additional exploration missions) that are considered "critical" and give increased XP, but you don't have to do those to maintain on-par XP progression. Amount of XP gained from flashpoints has been increased too.
  7. I just did that one, and it seems to be actually an issue with a misplaced map marker. The marker was indicating to head somewhere off to the eastern side of the map, while there was actually a clickable objective (calibration tower) just a few dozen meters away. I clicked it and the quest progressed to the next stage (which was nearby and marked properly).
  8. There is no solo mode for Hammer Station currently. You must be attempting the tactical version, which is balanced for a group of 4.
  9. I don't know what they were thinking, hiding one of the main expansion story arcs behind a series of gosh darn ENG-GAME RAIDS. I still to this day have never seen the ending of that dread masters storyline, on either faction side. Good job, Bioware.
  10. Yes, if you have the quest. You can also get the other part from Maelstrom Prison / The Foundry solo mode (used to be hard mode only).
  11. These now have solo option since 4.0: Esseles / Black Talon Taral V / Boarding Party Maelstrom Prison / The Foundry Directive 7 Battle of Ilum The False Emperor These already had solo option before 4.0: Assault on Tython Korriban Incursion Depths of Manaan Legacy of the Rakata Blood Hunt Battle of Rishi Also, there are 3 flashpoints which are not in group finder and are not bolstered/level-synced. Since they are all still in lvl 40-50 range this means at level 65 you can currently solo them with a companion with little trouble (obviously you won't be getting any useful gear drops out of it): Colicoid War Game Kaon Under Siege Lost Island You may have some difficulty soloing in CWG and LI because of a few places relying on party mechanics, but it's still doable (google "colicoid war game solo" on youtube for a sample walkthrough vid which shows how to bypass the puzzle).
  12. I'm not playing KotFE yet because a) Romance-recognition bug (hopefully this time it'll take less than a year to fix...) b) I don't like unfinished stories, and always play episodic games after all episodes in a season are released.
  13. Critical Rating and Alacricity in enhancements/augments, Power in mods. Dulfy has a new class guide for 4.0 Sorcerer PvE Healing, pretty much everything there also applies to its Sage counterpart (just some ability names differ): http://dulfy.net/2015/11/26/swtor-corruption-sorcerer-pve-healing-guide-by-kalizo/ Higher Alacricity = faster cast & channel times, shorter cooldown & GCD times, faster Force regen. Higher Crit = crit chance + crit effectiveness, + it's important for Jedi Sage since they rely on Healing Trance crits for force management and quicker aoe heal casts.
  14. Companion conversations/missions now unlock along with your class story progress, so upon its completion you should be able to access them all. However, the most recent patch appears to have broken things - there are numerous reports of people missing conversations that should be available, this may have something to do with the "undefined" empty missions popping up in mission log. In other words, wait for a fix in future patch, I guess.
  15. Tactical FPs available through group finder are now all lvl 15-65 with bolster "upgrading" everyone in the group to 65 if needed. Tacticals are supposed to be role neutral, so you can end up in a group of 4 DPS, or 1 DPS+3 Healers for example. They have kolto stations at each boss to compensate for the potential lack of healers. Kolto station heals whoever used it for a large %, and places a smaller % heal-over-time effect on everyone else in the group. However difficult trash pulls between bosses don't have kolto, so expect them to be difficult in a group without every role. Despite the bolster, GF group content is more difficult to do if you are at or close to the minimum level bracket. Bolster only increases your basic stats like armor, health and weapon damage to some minimal effective level, and has no effect on secondary stats like power, critical chance or damage mitigation stats. Therefore, any bolstered player is significantly less useful than a properly geared level 65 one (not to mention lower-levels don't have all the abilities from their advanced class tree). Hard-mode FPs available through GF are lvl 50-65 with bolster to 65, but also have a recommended gear rating of 208 according to group finder tooltip, so it's debatable whether it's a good idea to start them before 65. I can also say from experience it's kind of stressful healing a lvl 50 tank through hard mode, they're melting almost as fast as a dps. Hard-modes are NOT role-neutral, and require a full group with tank, healer, and 2 dps. Otherwise, they differ from tacticals mainly in more challenging boss encounters, which are more punishing if you don't know the fight mechanics. Boss enrage timers are also shorter, which puts a pressure on the dps to know effective damaging ability rotations for their class. You can pick up WEEKLY missions from the "Priority missions" terminal on the fleet for 5 tactical and 3 hard-mode flashpoints for additional rewards in common / glowing / radiant crystals which may make it worth it to do them at your current level (depends on if you need any gear from the crystal supply vendors). Final boss in hard-mode FPs usually also drops a rating 216 gear piece. Story-mode ops through GF are lvl 50-65 with bolster to 65, with the one available changing every 24 hours. Difficulty about the same as hard-mode FPs, though that depends on which you're doing (Eternity Vault and Karagga's Palace are considered the easiest, I think). Bosses drop 216 rating gear, and some also drop an "unassembled" set gear piece token which can be exchanged for an actual set piece on the fleet (the only way to get above 208 rating main-hand weapon, and the only way to assemble equipment with very useful set bonuses). When doing ops, make sure to pick up WEEKLY missions from the Operations terminal on the fleet for additional rewards. Can't tell you much about HM or Nightmare ops except they're not available through GF and so pretty much require you to be in a raiding guild. HM drops rating 220 gear, and Nightmare drops rating 224 (or is supposed to, I hear it's bugged for now). EDIT to add: Chronological order (story-wise) of doing content can be found in this post: http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8339992&postcount=5 It doesn't mention flashpoints before Ilum, which used to be done in this order: Hammer Station Athiss Mandalorian Raiders Cademimu Boarding Party (EMP) / Taral V (REP) The Foundry (EMP) / Maelstrom Prison (REP) Colicoid War Game (not available through GF, and not level-synced currently) Red Reaper Directive 7
  16. I don't get it either. I undertstand the couriers were confusing and not newb-friendly, and the whole breadcrumb quest-giver system needed improvement... But then IMPROVE it, Bioware, don't break it thoughtlessly by removing half the couriers and leaving the other half in. So far, on Republic side, I was able to find the following couriers: Hammer Station FP - Belsavis orbital, M8T-V (the ones on Coruscant and Fleet were removed, this is actually hilarious; I mean, Belsavis? Really? ) Mandalorian Raiders FP - Tatooine (Dreviad outpost), B5-2T (Fleet courier removed) Jedi Prisoner arc (Boarding Party/Taral V FPs) - Fleet / Balmorra, MP-77 (no change I think) Directive 7 FP - Fleet, P-2XN (no change I think) Black Hole quest giver - Holoterminal on the fleet (howerver there is now NO Black Hole courier on Empire side ) Rakghoul arc (Kaon/Lost Island FPs) - Fleet, Whisper (no change I think) Czerka arc (Corporate Labs/Core Meltdown FPs) - Fleet, RK-C3 (no change I think) Macrobinoculars/Seeker droid arcs - no change, courier droids still on the fleet, captial worlds and Makeb Operation couriers are still present, but have all been moved to the fleet Vanguard vessel I could not find the following couriers, despite checking both the Fleet and the level-appropriate planets that used to have them: Athiss FP Cademimu FP Colicoid War Game FP Red Reaper FP (haven't been to Corellia yet, but the Fleet courier is gone) Black Hole area courier on Empire side Section X area courier on both sides
  17. I'm confused, what makes you think it's a bug? And... people are actually asking to bring back repair costs? Wut... I for one am glad to finally see less swearing and ragequitting and "who'll pay my repair bill after this?" in certain pug ops and fps. Everyone's less tense about failing if it doesn't hit their pocket.
  18. I tried that, but it sometimes caused a bug that made interface disappear after zoning into a flashpoint (have to press Ctrl-U twice to bring it back). Plus, I was already more accustomed to the normal group interface at that point, and ops frames looked a bit weird. On topic, from someone who plays a Sage healer I'd also love to see a strong heal that could reliably (without needing a crit) bring someone from the brink of death to comofrtable hp level even if they're being pounded on by a boss in HM flashpoint. Rejuvenate+Wandering Mend is the closest thing currently (apart from that near-guaranteed crit buff, which let's assume is on cooldown), but it may be on CD and is more of a OMG-everyone's-suddenly-dying-must-heal-everyone-quick emergency thing.
  19. Use the interface editor to reposition party frames closer to the bottom of the screen (or wherever your health bar is currently), so you can watch all without moving your eyes too much. Doing that helped a lot when I realized I had the same problem on my healer. Also increase the scale of the party debuff icons while you're at it (must have for easier cleansing).
  20. This is a game-breaking bug for me. I want to keep playing (just finished Chapter 2 on my Jedi Consular), but I'm scared this bug might break something in companion romance story (like not being to complete the romance and/or it not being recognized in expansions). And since Customer Support is completely useless and closing any tickets not directly relating to personal class missions, I don't want to risk being stuck with a screwed up story state, and so am going to have to put the game on hold until the problem is worked out. Please fix asap... Be aware there are reports saying doing this could break romance storyline progression.
  21. See my response in this thread: http://www.swtor.com/community/showpost.php?p=8651657&postcount=2
  22. Tatooine, Nar Shaddaa, Alderaan, Hoth, Voss, and Belsavis bonus series have been scaled up to lvl 60-65 (I was able to pick up Tatooine at 61, Nar Shaddaa at 63, and the rest were available when I visited as 65; it's possible all become available at 60). I hope they change these requirements to what they were, because it creates story contradictions, bonus series plot is clearly designed to take place soon after finishing original planet questline (for example, Darth Serevin is present in the Voss bonus series, while he can be killed in the Ilum story arc).
  23. If you haven't played since 4.0 (KotFE) update launch, you likely won't notice any nerf. In fact, companions now should be still significantly more useful than they were a year ago. Yes, they were THAT much more powerful before the latest nerf. I'm playing Jedi Sage healer and had no problem questing or doing solo versions of taral V/maelstrom prison flashpoints with a dps companion yesterday. Still have to test how is soloing the heroics with a comp now, but I don't expect it to be nearly as bad as the forum makes it sound.
  24. It's definitely not a bug, as it's nigh impossible to redesign the mission chain rewards for several bonus series by mistake. They just did that to disguise the lack of any significant endgame content, giving maxed out characters one more "new" thing to do. The hilarous part is it creates some gaping story contradictions, like Darth Serevin being alive and kicking and completely unaware he's a traitor to the Empire in the Voss bonus series after you likely killed him earlier in the Battle of Ilum flashpoint (which is chronologically set around lvl 50-55 as the beginning of the Ilum arc conclusion). Which is why I hope they roll this change back eventually after some real new endgame content is released.
  25. Kind of agree. Czerka Core Meltdown with no tank/healer was a nightmare, I'm not going in there again w/o a full trinity group. To be fair, though, the last few tacticals I was lucky enough to actually get a competent trinity group pop up and thus they were a breeze, not a single wipe in 4 runs. I posted this before, and repeat again: there should be another FP section in group finder, for non-tactical version of each flashpoint. In which case, everyone who likes tacticals can queue for them, those who can't stand tacticals can queue for normal FPs, and those who don't care can queue for both (thus getting quicker pops).
