  1. This isn't the sole reason... 1) DX9. GameEngine doesn't support 10+; vista/win7+. Users have received 50-100% fps increase by turning on winxp compatibility mode. Sorry excuse for an engine. 2) NetCode. I don't know the details, but there are several areas that can be recreated in the game. Open/close your inventory rapidly while moving; massive fps hiccups. On Ilum, in massive battles, stay raidless or join a raid a see a huge fps drop - game trying to sync all the health bars to your client, same issue related to the inventory above. Note: This is not latency, this is client-server communication issues. 3) HeroEngine.
  2. I made a similar ticket... "How do I win at PVP?" Within hours I received this: I re-opened the ticket and said, "I said winning, not whining." And got this response...
  3. Who pays $1500 for a 5-day cruise? That's overpriced.
  4. Don't think she ever improves if you are female. I stopped trying after 6k affection; the lack of gifts that make her happy (compared to other sith inq companions) is annoying and a waste of time/money.
  5. People fail to understand Jedi are the bad guys, Sith are the good guys.
  6. See Rift. Guild completes quests, gain guild xp. Guild levels up and gets skill points. Spend points to unlock useful abilities for the guild. Quest examples: -Kill 500 players -Complete 30 flashpoints -Complete 10 operations -Win 40 warzones etc. Perks -Guild summon (rally banner), ie. summon guild members to a planet, 60min cd -Guild local buffs (requires a consumable), ie. +5% damage for 20 seconds, 60min cd -Faster mission time, increased crafting crits/RE, better returns from missions -Loot more credits from corpses, increase chance to get items from corpses -Global (passive) buffs like +stats, +expertise -Guild social perks, ie. special emotes, special items, flare -Your ideas
  7. Overlooked for money. No one using the Star Wars license really cares about continuity like fans do, it is pretty stupid imo. You have a great piece of work only to be ruined when you try to explain any of its elements outside of the story. You already see this in the first 3 movies where you have drastic changes in armour, vehicles, etc. that don't carry over to the last 3 movies. Technological Singularity is a theoretical application of advancement of technology to a point where artificial intelligence increases technology beyond what humans can comprehend. Given a universe with droids that can 'think' for themselves, even do assassination missions, the technological barrier is still based on what humans can do, not what computers can do. It is really silly imo. Furthermore, we have a ton of 'force powers' that the canon doesn't even touch. You'd think a jedi/sith would use every tool available to him/her, but ofcourse the canon barely scratches the surface. So is the canon holding back or is the extended universe making stuff up to make the story more dramatic? I like to think of kotor/swtor universe as a 'different dimension' than the canon universe. I find the last 3 movies to be more murky in technology and 'sense' which makes it more fun to watch. SWTOR and the first 3 films have so much 'technology' that it really takes away from the 'mystery' that I loved in the last 3 films.
  8. To give an idea of the change: 2->3: 3.6x 3->4: 11.9x 4->5: 4.64x 5->6: 1.41x Also, I do believe respec cost is level and point based. If you are level 30 and have 21 points spent, your respec cost is different than being level 50 and 41 points spent. Regardless, the change in respec tiers is neither linear nor represents anything one would consider 'fair'.
  9. I've noticed RE proc rates much lower as well. Pre-patch I would get a RE schematic within 10 tries, but now I am on 20+ and still nothing.
  10. I don't care if I have to spend credits to buy a 'radio/jukebox', but it'd be really nice to be able to hear some cantina tunes while on your ship or while doing a space mission. Further to this, it'd be great to have your own personal radio (think Fallout 3) that you could tune into at any time and listen to one of the cantina tracks. Some of the planets have very little in the way of music. Thoughts?
  11. The point of the post is two fold: 1) The talent sucks compared to other tier 1 talents in other trees. Madness has 2 completely useless talents in the 1st tier. 2) The benefit from increasing wp is marginal. The math is shown. The difference between 10 damage and 100 damage (10 fold increase) at level 50 is nothing when bosses have 300-400k+ hp. Infact, the best increase is from crit, surge, power, etc. as it adds percent damage, where as wp only adds static damage. If you think otherwise, discuss. IMO, this talent should be removed and replaced with the crit talent in the healing tree; and the crit talent in the healing tree replaced with a healing crit bonus (ie. healing crits are x/y/z% more powerful).
  12. I was doing some calculations using these numbers: All primary stats give 1% crit for every 140 points (at level 50) [Willpower in our case] Willpower gives 0.2 damage and 0.14 healing per point. Will of the Sith gives 3%/6% increase to willpower. Using this data and my current willpower (745, untalented) at level 39 (note that wp/140 is for level 50!), I would calculate: +149 damage +104 healing +5.32 crit With 6% WP talent, the increase would be (correct me if I am wrong): +158 damage (9 difference) +110 damage (6 difference) +5.64 (0.32 difference) Does 2 points really justify a 9 point damage increase? Compare to Calcify (force lightning damage): Numbers off top of my head, but FL at 39 is doing ~1200 damage, so 4% (1 point of calcify) does 48 more damage (over 3 seconds), which is still more damage than what is gained with 2 points of WotS. Now you may think this talent would be better at level 50 with raid gear, but how much difference in the damage/healing/crit is needed to justify the talent points?
