  1. How frustrated Bioware is, do you think? What probably happening at Bioware: SEND A SEARCH PARTY down to the server room, we got Armstech schematics gone MIA.
  2. Now that is one of the better ideas I've seen in a while. Thought not 1 in 15, but 1 in 5. Since you unlock 3 different blues and each blue have 5 different purples.
  3. Make sure crew member you are using is appropriate for the job and have max affection.
  4. Exactly what I was afraid of, spending already extremely rare material on something unworthy. I am studying game design and an avid gamer myself, but looking at TOR's crafting I cannot help but ask myself "What was they really thinking?".
  5. Probably the fact that you cant craft them.
  6. Hmmm, I dont think I will attempt this experiment. The resulting item should be super awesome, but its kinda not, at least I get this feeling after obtaining several prefix 2 purples from green base item. Taking in account how unreliable reverse engineering is in general getting tier 2 prefix from a purple schematic seems kinda wasteful to me.
  7. I have this schematic as base item and am uncertain of Reverse Engineering it. I understand well how reverse engineering work when you use a green item as base, but what happens when you use blue item as base? I've already discovered Overkill, Critical and Redoubt purple schematic of TH-15A Corpsman Boots, would reverse engineering give me Expert or Endowed versions? Is it worth it?
  8. I am surprised you didnt miss mod level 4.5... No seriously, is it not bad enough to have a new mod every second level that you must ask for more items to craft? In my ideal world, level 4 purple mod would be as good as level 8 green so that purchasing an expensive purple armoring would mean something and last longer.
  9. Yeah, that is really great when you need 300 of any crafting material Though they should loose the dragging.
  10. Current problem for Hutt Trade Network is its accessibility to players, you must travel a fair distance before you reach Hutta Terminals and some times you need to make more then one trip. When people are visiting Imperial Fleet for one reason or another one can: 1) Ride speeders out of hangar and across the station. 2) Have access to daily missions and Flash Points 3) Access to all commendation vendors and more Once you are on the fleet you can casually stop by GTN to have a look, you might find something you like and can afford or might not and move on. Hutt Trade Network is hard to reach and you want your trip to be meaningful, on my server there is nothing note worthy for sale. I even tried to sell some Republic schematics, but nobody purchased them in two days span. Place Hutt Trade Network in a more accessible place, where players must step but 5 meters before reaching the terminals and we might see a change.
  11. You serious, arent you? Try to do some pvp, you get both gear and money for it. Rise your companions affection and pick up slicing + treasure hunting for extra income. Gather some mats from the world and sell it on AH, Laminoid and Aluminium should sell really well. Finally there are dailies, flash points and heroics you can do to stack up on credits. I could advice to pick up a crafting skill, but crafting require a money investment you obviously dont have. But if you decide to go for crafting, check the market for what gear is missing and go for it. Not enough space ship upgrades? Make some Not enough blaster barrels at level 15? Make some
  12. Yeap, I know how progression works, I was simply expecting its base stats to be higher and upon realizing Power was base stat began playing with the idea of RE'ing Overkill blue into purple instead of Critical.
  13. Not only is it way too random and way too much work at end game, it is just as random and just as much work at mid game. Something needs to be done about it and hopefully soon, crafting is not fun in this game. Good luck friend, my heart goes out to you.
  14. Hello friend. Treasure hunting is profitable in sense that you can get gift fragments and turn them into something useful. Most stuff you will want to sell to other players, the GLOBAL trade network is located on Nar Shadaarr, FACTION trade network can be found on capital planet and fleet. Take some time to understand your market and what sells, but please avoid selling crappy green items you get from lockboxes.
  15. Yes, I am aware of the reverse engineering. The +6 Power freaked me out, a viable option would've been Overkill into Expert for maximum power and additional surge rating. Guess it all depends on what class role your class plays and luck.... More luck then everything else thought
  16. I hear you well. Gathering Aluminium and Laminoid from nodes is a pain, much faster to simply run missions. I do not understand why they did it this way, one you hit level 10 is usually when you arrive at fleet and the first item you can make is Level 9. I believe that making first craftable items level 14+ AND use grade 1.0 material would make crafting low more viable. The system is flawed from the core, many things hang together and cause problems for one another. 1) Nodes are guarded by mobs in one way or another, in order to gather material you will have to fight something at some point. 2) If you are too low on level mobs will be attracted to you like a metal spoon to a magnet. 3) Locations with rich amounts of certain material are usually guarded by very strong mobs. 4) If you wish to craft a "GOOD" and by good I mean Blue item with augment slot, you will need a stack of 50/50 metal/compound and 99/99 if you are really unlucky. Naturally if you want to craft purple you might want to double the amount of mats you need. (NOT taking in account mats you get from missions, since they dont cause your character to level). 5) Material cost is usually of wack, 6 aluminium and 4 Laminoid or 10 Laminoid and then something 6 missions mats. 6) You end up running out of one material or another faster then you get what you want unless you farm for hours.
  17. Same here, every second person I check out is a biochem and I cant even find a a decent implant on GTN. Tried to craft some good armors up to level 20, but then run out of selling slots on GTN... Apparently I put for sale far too many blues with augment slots.
  18. So I was crafting some armor for my Operative healing alt and unlocked this particular schematic (image bellow) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/31/artifactgloves.jpg/ Now I got 20 pieces in production, my question to you is: What would you pay for this item and how much should I charge people for it?
  19. I've picked Armstech for kicks'n'giggles on my alt, if I remember correctly Reverse Engineering of Vibroknifes along with scatter guns resulted in failures. Have there been any changes? Aside from Vibroknifes and scatter guns, anything else bugged?
  20. Trade bound equipment between Legacy characters. To be able to invite people into your legacy or share legacy name with them.
  21. Because blue prints are easier to relate to.
  22. I can confirm that I killed world boss on Dromund Kaas (The First) about 4 times in a time span of 21:00 and 03:00 and I killed him again once I woke up. So what is world boss respawn time?
  23. You could invest into blue blasters and tech staffs, then sell them on GTN for 100++ profit? On Starstorm One server there is a huge demand for Armstech items
