  1. No, is THAT why I said family? Is that why in SEVERAL of the posts I made that YOU replied to mentioned characters of different races being RELATED?!? Is that why in one of my posts I say... Hmm, I wonder if that means I know about the upcoming Legacy family tree that allows you to tie your characters together into a family to unlock skills. Not that any of that matters, you are telling someone that a system in the game is fine and that they can ignore it...which is what happens when a system is good right? right, no really, a good system is one that a player should ignore so it doesnt break the game. I mean, why say yeah you are right they should stop being lazy and allow a legacy surname unlock to allow players to give each character its own surname and have a better game when I can keep these nuts in my mouth like a good little nuthugger. Enjoy your game that received a stock downgrade after EAs CEO said retention rates will be lower than expected during the companies investors call and play the fanboy with blinders on who cant admit whats wrong with the game. Afterall, it doesnt effect you personally so there is nothing wrong.
  2. Appolgists like you are the reason the game is the way it is. For almost 8 months of beta testing you people always said "its only beta" whenever anyone mentioned a part of the game that either needed work, was missing or was down right bad. It isnt beta anymore, this isnt a single player game, this is an MMORPG. Charaters are not supposed to be tied together, sure as hell not a story based game with different races. Stop making excuses for piss poor game design. A ROLE playing game is based on you playing a ROLE. When those ROLES are messed with in a bad way, its the DESIGNERS fault.
  3. Oh well in that case its OK! No really, its limited to every character on one server so only most of the gaming expierence is ruined with a cheap system that could have been easily corrected by allowing one to chose to have a Chiss with a different surname than a Human...I guess that means its a good idea afterall.
  4. Hello, its a system put in place. If the system is stupid the system is stupid. Unlocking a surname should unlock a surname for each character and not be spread over ALL characters. And the upcoming family legacy is something that ties all characters to a family and if you ignore it youll miss out on the skills it gives. Its a piss poor system much like crafting, little thought put into it. its like a generic placeholder or something. You dont create a roleplaying game and do stupid things like this unless you are an amature. It doesnt make sense coming from a company with a GREAT RPG history like Bioware. The legacy idea could be a GREAT one if they didnt tie it in across all characters like this...its a cheap programming effort on their part.
  5. Scapegoat, not escape goat. OP, all I know is they must have picked the village idiot to design the legacy system. having a single surname on every character you make no matter the race and then come up with a family tree on top of it... Seriously, a design group said yes to the idea that a twi'lek really should have the same surname and family tree of a human, a sith and a chiss...really great idea. I know, lets allow them to pick a sith mother and a chiss father who gave birth to a human! Its as if the person never played an RPG before...
  6. Oh come on, keep your race and enjoy the legacy name that goes across all your characters no matter their race and then look forward to the expanded legacy of joining your human character to your twi'lek via a family tree. Because as we all know, it makes perfect sense to have characters of all races a part of the same family. Whoever came up with the legacy ideas has either never played an RPG or was beaten with the stupid stick.
  7. I blame you, those that think wow was so original that every game is coping it... Seriously though, if any game dies it dies because of the actions of the company...and that includes LACK of action. Bioware did NOT listen to the beta community, if they had, this game would have far more MMORPG qualities. Customizable UI or at least UI MODs. Far more social items and they would not be all light armor... A few earlier zones that had a LITTLE more open worldness to them for PvP. a few planets with city areas that were NOT instanced. Dual Specs... Advanced class reset... Why didnt we get these items? Two reasons. A massive amount of trolls during beta that felt the need to tell anyone asking for features that they should shut up because its beta and Bioware that either didnt care or felt they would have enough time after release to add these BASIC features that older games added later forgetting that newer games like rift released WITH them because these are KNOWN STAPLES OF THE GENRE!
  8. Apparently all it takes is a title...or so they think, because afterall, a founder is only someone that sticks around after the free month...everyone that bought the game but isnt staying, isnt a founder. It would be like if Washington left America after beating the britsh, his accomplishments founding the nation doesnt actually mean anything...only does if he stayed and paid taxes afterwards. Bioware was hit hard with the stupid stick with this game...so much doesnt make any sense, not even if it was made by amatures.
  9. BTW your survey sucks and leaves out a great many aspects an MMORPG should be judged on. Community. 1 out of 4 Crafting. 0 out of 4, yeah I said 0 not even a 1 RPing. 2 out of 4 Space Combat. 4 out of 4, fast paced like star wars should be Grouping. 2 out of 4 Flashpoints 4 out of 4 Gear options. 1 out of 4 Classes. 2 out of 4, mirrored, few options, no respec hurts it a lot Skills. 3 out of 4 Replayability. 2 out of 4, outside of the class story alts feel horrid World design. 4 out of 4 Customer service... 0 out of 4 I wouldnt pay $5 a month for this game in its current condition, its a single player game with online capability, too much MMO left out.
  10. The question was put to rest once and for all with a downgrade of EA stock by someone that actually has information on hand about how many people unsubscribed from the game. A stock doesnt get downgraded and take a hit like it has over the last few days on a whim. Bioware will do nothing but spin and fluff the numbers and your sample size will not touch what the overall community feels.
  11. Hey OP, they are making up for this PoS of a game by giving you a founder title if you re-sub. That makes up for it in their mind. You are talking about a game being made by one of the single greatest makers or RPGs that is giving us a legacy system that names ALL OF OUR CHARACTERS the same and not only that they are taking it one step further by adding a family tree to tie all of your characters to so you can unlock skills. Because it isnt enough to make people play different races with the same surname, now my human jedi and twi'lek smuggler get to be a part of the SAME FAMILY! WHO SMACKED THE PEOPLE AT BIOWARE WITH THE ****SUPERSTUPID STICK?!? Seriously, tons of mistakes you would only expect from amatures.
  12. Seeing as how you are trolling...yes. Or are you one of those self-entitled people who think no one has a right to complain except you?
  13. Yep, this has nothing to do with rewarding as much as it is begging people not to un-sub. A near $3 value in stock price over subscription drops is enough to make any company desperate...and if a title is their answer, players are in big trouble.
  14. The ENTIRE crafting system needs a reworking. It isnt that people were required to take Biochem for the buffs, its that the REST of the crafting skills SUCKED so much that anyone WOULD BE stupid not to take the buffs of Biochem. BUFF the other skills, gimping the only good one just shows you dont know your own game. I have to go back almost an entire DECADE to find another MMORPG with a crafting system this weak.
  15. Single player games with online capabilities are normally free. This game should have an offline mode for the story because the MMO part of it has been mostly ignored and is on par with online shooters. Its almost as if Bioware was hoping it would take people a year to play through the story and they had time to make the actual MMO part of the game, kinda like Sony with SWG, no space at all, they gave that in an expansion.
