  1. And as a pyro these past months, you deserve every damn bit of it. You won't get any sympathy here bro.
  2. On my old server Daragon Trail, I as a madness specd sorc, would fight one of my really good PT friends in WZ's all the time. (Go look up Exphryl on youtube and tell me you've seen a better player at PT..) I was the best sorc I knew of there and he was the best PT I've seen anywhere, I've beat him once ever straight up, and "tied' him two other times, meaning my dots killed him after he killed me. The other 100 times, he won without anything I could do to stop it. The sorc class is fun, of course, but it literally is incapable of beating some of the other classes because there aren't enough tools to counter the damage that they put out. Yes, we can bubble, yes we can heal, yes we can los, yes we can cc, yes we can run away, but that doesnt win a fight. I've recently retired my sorc in pvp, and donated my fully optimized willpower gear to a shadow I've leveled up, /cry. Still hope balances come soon but don't see them anywhere near on the horizon....
  3. Stack willpower without any hesitation. We have cooldowns to make up for not stacking endurance. If you stack endurance, sure you wont die as easily when you pop your cooldowns too, but you wont ever be able to kill anything, there isnt much point.
  4. Honestly not really, only thing shadow/sins have below 16 is the run behind and try to shadow strike for 3-3.5k strategy. Outside of an aoe knockback, a ranged stun, and an 8s cast time lift that breaks on damage. PT's and Snipers have way stronger abilities early on/ the abilities they do have have very high base damage. Snipers hit the hardest right out of the gates(lvl 10), their long cast time attack (Ambush is the name?) can hit for 4-4.5k depending on expertise buff u pick up from the map or not.

I find it highly unlikely that the people who spend a majority of their playtime each week (hours in the double digit range) working with a parser and the dummies so they can maximize their dps havent tried other options of what talent points they use.... Annihilation is higher, and I don't know hardly anything about maras.
  6. Meh, the "rogue" playstyle is still fun regardless of potency, my first encounter with it is from Lotro as a Burglar, as I've never played blizzards garbage.
  7. In no way did I ever say I am unaware what the Entrench skill does, nor do I not know what the little buff on the bar looks like or what the animation looks like on the sniper itself. I am very much aware, just like I said I dont play classes that have an issue with it so didnt think of it immediately, you are really blowing that out of proportion for no reason bud. I am very aware of what every single class can do in fact, I have 4 50's, 3 above 26, and 1 Vanguard I've remade about a dozen times at 20. Every AC represented so that I can purposely explore first hand what each AC is capable of. That isn't a fair 1v1. Fair implies each side is equal, and has the same opportunities.

I am neither a Sniper or a PT nor ever have a problem with snipers using entrench with the classes I play so naturally I dont think of it as an option immediately, but that makes me a bad player, riiiight. Your statement just clearly shows how insecure you are about your own skill. You are assuming that the sniper has the immediate advantage of the fight starting out as the two players approach each other, or the pyro is approaching the sniper in cover, which is very much not always the case. To make a fair assessment of 1v1 prowess and balance, you can neither give the advantage to either class, meaning, the sniper wouldnt have time to set up everything ahead of time, and be immune to CC before the Pyro had a chance to do anything.
  9. People are talking about 1v1 vs a pyro, in which resolve normally starts at zero for both characters. If it isn't at zero, then thats not technically a 1v1 and deserves no attention to discuss. Do tell how you are able to avoid a 30m instant cast "tech" 4s stun.
  10. So don't be retarded and adjust something that affects both Classes with this tree. Removing the Rail Shot reset from Flame Burst which can be SPAMMED until it procs would go a long way, and it doesn't affect Mercs in any way. It is way out of balance that pt's can way more reliably reset rail shot with an attack with no cd like Flame Burst and another attack with only a 9s cd in Rocket Punch. What do mercs get? Proc off a channeled attack with a 15s cd in Unload, and a proc off a 1.5s cast time attack in Power Shot that is extremely easy to interrupt, how fair is that? Change PT rail shot reset to Unload in addition to Rocket Punch and remove the reset capability from Flame Burst.

Sorcs and sins give the highest rate of return on your investment of exiting stealth, and they like to force speed right off the bat, its absolutely hilarious to see em do it and have the "wind woooosh around them" while you have them rooted I've used this build for months, pure "gank" and shortest "time to kill" spec. Always fun. Some people like dropping the extra endurance and trading that to pick up the + run speed when you stun, but I don't ever feel like extra run speed helps me, when I stun them, they arent moving o.o, and this class can use anything at all for a little more defense.
  12. Not really.. Matches end early. I can sorc pull 6 people in a row in Huttball and end the match in under 5 minutes and get 2 medals. I can be in a full length Alderaan and get 17. Ballparking isn't feasible. But yes, as to the OP, I would too.

I guess this is a question I should've asked elsewhere, but since you're here From my understanding of Shadows/Sins, it is best for pvp to have this tank spec, while using the DPS gear, not only for set bonuses, but stats as well, right? Like max willpower/power/crit/surge etc While I've been leveling, I've used a shield with my healer pet and never had issues, seemed to still do good dps. For endgame 50 pvp, is it best to not use a shield, instead going for extra stats? That is where my opinion on Double Bladed Sab Defense comes from I guess. Thanks for taking the time I've been Empire for 8 months leave my noobiness alone lol

Im new to the whole Shadow thing, currently lvl 46, but reading thru a little, seems like http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#601rIMozrskdsZZf0cM.2 build has the best use of points towards talents that actually do something. No? Looking at pvp. Not taking expertise, not taking rapid recovery, not taking kinetic ward obv, and only putting in 1 point to Nerve Wracking, bc an extra 6% dmg inc to a target ONLY while under your CC seems pretty stupid. Not sure why you would link builds with wasted points is all.
  19. Wrong. Adrenal gives only dmg reduction, but the warzone red buff you pick up still gives everything. Go and read the buff description after you pick it up if you don't believe me.
  20. Be prepared to heal once at the start of the match, then run ur butt off for the remainder. Healers DO get focused down first, and you as a sorc are the squishiest healer there is. Be prepared to accept your role of dying a lot as the rest of your team kills them. No manner of guarding/other healers healing you can stop the entire team's dps force gunning you down. I'm very well geared for PvP, have 1300+ expertise, have 20k hp, 1800+ WillP, 800power, know how to kite and los around things as well as anyone, and there just comes a point where there absolutely nothing else the sorc class can do to avoid getting wrecked by the dps classes in the game with the current way things are. Maybe new patches will alter the "balance" soon. During 1.3, you just have to know that this is the way things are and accept it going in.

I normally need to heal for my groups, but if I do get a chance to DPS, I like madness, so I have 2 set campaign heal bonus and 2 set campaign dps bonus. ~~~*Now that I get to thinking about it, maybe it would be better to just go full heal bonus to pick up the extra 50 force rather than take off 2 force cost to LS and FL?* (I picked up dps set bonus bc that's what i was gearing for first >.<) I'm now "done" with my pve gear from what I see. 49 end 68 WillP Armorings/Hilt ~~~ 32 end 53 WillP 41 Pow Mods ~~~ 27 Endurance 41 pow 57 surge Enhancements ~~~ All slots with Resolve Augments MK-1 Implant x 2, MK-2 Ear, WH Power Relic x 2, Orange Bracer and Belt with 61 armor/mod/augment With all 4 buffs and Exotech Stim I have: 2271 WillP ~1208 Power ~ 29.80 % Crit ~ 5.70% Alacrity ~ 78.44% Surge ~ 20,267 HP -1797 Endurance ~ 1082.1 Bonus Dmg ~ 825.8 Bonus Heal I've been up and down with crit, and just feel that 30% is enough, and that I havent noticed many more crits even going higher than 40%. I don't have any problems with any of the content currently, cleared and farm regularly, ec hm np, etc without any issues, just looking forward to possibly Nightmare EC, and getting my gear "ready" as best as I can.

The ability to fake-cast and throw in interrupt baits, makes this build shine, the same as going full heal build. If you don't know what that is, don't try it and use another build. Ya, my crit is low and I need this extra bc I use the power/surge wh enhance and willP/Pow mods. But hey, I finally hit a Gunslinger for 5089 on death field yesterday! (Yes, post adrenal nerf) Maybe the 3rd time I've gotten a 5k hit on my sorc since CL got nerfed.
  24. 26 Armorings drop off of the last boss in HM EC, Kephess, so good to know you can RE that version. Glad to hear the mods you can craft are boe, I guess Ill find out on the pvp ones
  25. Ok sweet! The guy in general was telling me you can't RE anything above 22, thanks for the info Fry. Second question, this would allow me to craft said 26 Mod, and when crafted, these are BoE right? I could trade them to whoever. Third, does this work for RE'ing T4 War hero Pvp Mods too? Or are those not RE'able and/or BoP even if you craft them? Thanks.
