  1. Might add for any who read this post that this question is why most said to slow down the rush to power speed level. For the OP, chill for a while til the rest of the server to get to cap. The multigame MMO raiders have already "beat" the game and moved on to another. (personally dont understand that mntality, as it sounds more like work than fun.. /shrug.. to each their own.) Us more casual gamers are getting up to cap more slowly. Go exploring looking for datacrons and lore items you might have missed. Definitely see if your guildies want a godly 50 to help on places like Taris. They will be the ones you want on your side when PVP and operations get hot. They will be more willing to help you with stuff. Roll alts so you can play at level with your guildies Try to get to 400 on all three of your crew skills See how many credits you can make per day on GTN and HTN (Hutt Trade Network is separate listings)
  2. DarlgonScoundrl on Grand Master Zym makes techblades, but is only 33 atm, so mostly low level stuff.
  3. First week out the door they asked everyone to /bug those nodes. I doubt ALL of them have been reported. Do however make sure your crew skill was high eno tho, as I made that mistake myself. You should gat the changed cursor and system spam saying you are not high eno tho.
  4. I dont have this class, but every companion I do have in five classes has a stance that says raises or lowers threat when activated. Just have to make sure it is turned on. Why handicap your companion. The Guard bubble does help BTW.
  5. C2N2 can equip a focus/shield generator in off-hand. Make sure if Cybertech items from GTN or vendor buys you get AIM as primary stat for him.
  6. I have a 37 Counselor Shadow tank spec and a 21 Knight Guardian tank spec. (Sage is a Counselor heal or DPS spec, both range, so please do not confuse the in-your face Shadow with a Sage.) Short answer is, the Shadow is a self-heal tank in light armor vs the Guardian being a mitigation tank in heavy armor. Both classes also have a DPS spec, so, just like every class in this game, class label means very little. Its all in how you are speced in skill tree. I read both class descriptions before making. They are fairly accurate, with the Shadow using lots of stealth and crowd-control vs the Knight literally jumping into action to start the fight in a brass knuckle fighter way. Lack of self-heals is partly why my Knight is biochem as a Crew skill. However, with the ship droid on MedWatch, he makes a fair healer until either class gets the heal companion. (Mine healed at level the first Taris 4 Heroic for another tank and two DPS specs. He just whined the whole way.) At that point, if you are tank spec, the heal companion will be all you have out unless you are way over level. Basic issue is.. you are looking for what makes you happy. Reports from Beta say a Shadow tanked the end-game boss before any Knights got close, so armor really made no difference. I will say that the Shadow is WAY more dependant on the guy behind the keyboard to be any good, so only take him if you want to be pro-active in tanking. Each has a different playstyle to appeal to different people. If I were to assume I knew you, your description of what you want sounds like you want to Knight tank. Trooper tank might be even closer to what you want, but you did not ask about that class. Oh, and come on, they put the coolest armor in the vids. ALWAYS expect to see them rarely and on Elite End game raiders who spend 70 hours a week in-game. Do not play a class expecting that armor at level two.
  7. If anyone digs this thread up, a lot of my questions were answered in this post.. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=252808 Thanks to the dev team. Now.. if only I could convince myself to use Windowed (Fullscreen) mode.
  8. Actually, so far, I have gotten Schematics from Underworld Trading, Investigations and Diplomacy, so I would think I would be pretty safe to say, you get them from any Mission Skills.
  9. Its probably one of the Sith/IA schematics I received doing missions on the Republic side. Still have not found a place to sell them to the other faction at level 32.
  10. I hate to post this so late in the conversation, but.. you probably did not enjoy Biochem because you did not have the right missions to get your materials. Instead of Slicing, which is a standalone gathering skill and just the way to make credits without doing crew skills, you needed Diplomacy missions to get the materials to make the Biochem combines. This is especially apparent from the second post. UnderWORLD trading is a mission skill, meaning, you pay your companion to go out into the universe while you sip tea or quest with another companion. When he returns from the far away place, he comes back with rewards that you use to make combines or sell in the GTN. They can also crit to make schematics. There are no nodes to get product from. I have found the following site pretty good to see about which crew skills. (http://www.starwarsmmolevelingguide.com/crafting-guide/) And, no, I have no affiliation with the site, if I am accused of trolling for them. As far as pricing that is always pretty much on a per server basis. With the GTN being a misnomer, as it appears to be planet wide, you may want to put the rewards for the level of the mission up on the GTN on the planet closest to its level.. (IE level 1 Coruscant, Level 2-3 Nar Shadda, and up.) Hope it helps and that it does not come across as harsh in your language translator.
  11. Thats what all those missions for companion gifts are for..
  12. Funny. Barrels and Techblades for Qyzen seems to be all that I am selling in AH from my Armstech anyway, even with him only in the 200s on skill levels.
  13. I have sudden visions of a SWTOR draft, then free agencies among all the companions. Then salary caps. specially since the good doctor is asking for a research grant when I send him out on missions.
  14. Yes. Please look at implementing this.. OH, and when they come back during a space mission.. you get a lag spike that can freeze up your screen.
  15. You da man. In answer to the OP, I saw both of those items for sale at the fleet vendor for Fleet Commendations. So,, they are in game. However, since this is a a crew skill forum, I have no answer for you on making them. Cybertech is a skill I just started a tune for.
  16. This is the only thread I can find that talks about death penalty, so I am following up with another question. (Glad Google searches the forums, since the search option is out.) I know GZ said that we have loss of utility also on our gear. With enough deaths, one of the tool tips says, our gear will become useless until repaired. I have found one post that says the death penalties also include a loss of 10 point per stat per death. However, I cannot find a way to verify this in-game. Any one know? Thanks
  17. Hmm.. interesting explanation..Ok.. so I just have to live with it.. Glad I have a laptop I can set up next to my main machine to check websites. Thanks.
  18. Well... since no other answers yet.. wondering if it is just that the game graphics unload when you Alt+Tab out. It seems to take just as long to get off the load screen when I do nothing. Thanks for all the attempts at help.
  19. I think you need to bug this ingame. (bug) My first thought was, you need to head to a cantina, or maybe the basement of your ship... at least, last night, my companion needed to talk to me down there, once I got done yelling.. I have a ship, I have a ship and running around willy, nilly.
  20. Tried this.. and did not help. This would be if it was Windows itself or its themes, not in-game. I tried it anyway, but it did nothing. Amy other suggestions?
  21. Ok.. I admit.. I alt-tab a LOT while playing MMOS, to check my emails, to research where something is, or just to take a quick bio. When I do with SWTOR, I end up coming back to the loading screen, even if it is just literally 10 seconds. I hit my keys and can move, I turn in place and can see my companions dialog, I can right click on him and hear his repsonce, I walk forward, backward, strafe right, strafe left, look right, look left.. and click.. and still nothing happens.. then.. suddenly, I can see in-game again. Is there any way to turn this off? or maybe a secret to deactivating it when I come back? I have not figured out what makes me able to see ingame yet.
  22. The mod stations do server a purpose.. they gave me xp for reading the lore plaque next to it as part of a quest.. :)P
  23. It should be in your ingame mailslot already.. at least.. mine is on both of my tunes. On the other hand.. I was a bit disappointed that neither my lightsabre nor my gun fires purple with it in it..
  24. Ok.. first off.. if your problem is Lightside/Darkside choices, .. when you choose your dialog, Live/Die/Nuke him, no matter who wins the roll to decide, your own Light/Dark decision adds/subtracts to your own character, not the groups decision. If they kill a guy off, and you said let him live, you get Lightside, (if letting him live was the Light decision.) On the other side of the coin.. seriously? Your friends are screwing up the your own cinematic adventure? Well.. your choices are screwing up theirs.. and the devs are going to screw it up by making you choose stuff you dont want to.. and you are loosing the respect of your companions by making the "wrong" choices for them. Welcome to MMOs in general, where the Multi player means that not everything is under your control.
