  1. Interesting...oh well, maybe someday they'll get it right...
  2. I've been on some mighty busy forums and THEY have search functions that not only exist but are enabled. I contend that allowing us to search would LOWER loads on the server since fewer new posts would show up. Rather than just posting a new one knowing full well that there are a million similar ones out there for this rather basic question, I could search and find my answer in existing posts.
  3. So, I know I've seen posts regarding WHY there is no search function on this forum but without a search function on this forum there's no way but wading through page after page after page of posts to find out the reason. So, yeah, why in the world is there no search function on these forums? It makes them much less useful!
  4. The voice acting in TOR is great for the most part but why do multiple characters say "anyways"? It's only a word in the most nonstandard way. It's colloquial. Worse, it's SHOPPING MALL colloquial, if I may coin a term. It's the type of language used by superficial teenagers at the mall, the same type of people that spell you "u" and to, too and/or two "2". It just seems odd to me that while producing the otherwise excellent voice acting they didn't catch something so basic.
  5. yep, Dasffion, I'm just talking about if you're waaay deep in a level and you don't want to run all the way back to where you were. Though it seems that stuff you killed stays killed within reason, at least in the noob areas, so you don't have to FIGHT your way back . There IS a re-pop of mobs but it doesn't seem to be too terribly quick.
  6. Yeah, 30 minutes is more than enough to make me want to take my time and stay alive
  7. I find it interesting how quickly the time you wait for a medical droid ramps up. It's what? Like 10 seconds for the first death, 2 or 3 minutes for the second and 10 for the third? I'd hate to see what it is for a 4th or 5th But really, that's a good mechanic...the only real penalty is your time. Makes it in your best interest to concentrate on staying alive without killing the game experience. That XP penalty in DAOC was so frustrating to me in that respect. I've always been the type of player that groups occasionally but prefers soloing when possible. It's a play style that tends to come with a lot of deaths So, grinding up a dot of XP in DAOC and then losing it when you died just killed it for me and I quit after about 3 months at level 43.
  8. I haven't seen any posts about what the death penalty is in TOR. I know that it takes longer for the medical droid to be available to revive you (10 minutes after 3 or 4 rapid succession deaths...wow! ), but is there temporary stat degredation? XP loss (which is what made me quit Dark Age Of Camelot)? Credit loss? Does it degrade your equipment?
