  1. For PvE, Relentless Winds, for most of the reasons stated above. For PvP, I prefer an on-use Power Relic for on-demand burst. Relentless Winds will likely put out more damage throughout a Warzone, since you won't always use the on-use every time it's on CD, but more damage doesn't mean more utility. Being able to burst down a target that much faster can make a big difference in both solo and group encounters.
  2. The "Dungeon Finder" or LFG tool I can do without being cross-server, but for rated PvP it almost seems a necessity to me.
  3. What most people overlook as well is that, especially with rated WZ on the way in 1.2, cross-server PvP queues add much needed match diversity. It's going to get old seeing the same 8-man pre-made every time you queue. :s
  4. I use Master Strike and Blade Storm very regularly in PvP. Both hit pretty hard and are reliable damage. Master Strike can be used to fill gaps in DPS when your stacks of Merciless aren't maxed (you have a DPS void to fill, essentially). Master Strike does its first 2 ticks of damage very quickly, so it's wise to interrupt it for Merciless Slash if the CD rings up just right, or the enemy is moving away (as the final swing will lock your movement briefly even if it's interrupted). Blade Storm is useful in pursuit, but expensive. Use it sparingly, unless you know that it will benefit you to use it (finishing an opponent, keeping pressure on, waiting on CD).
  5. The most typical discussion that I see revolving around Insight is whether yellow damage is directly correlated to the Force Crit bonus. Admittedly, I haven't checked on it in the past two weeks or so. I was just looking for solid confirmation.
  6. I know there's a fair bit of contested opinions on whether or not Insight (2/4/6% Crit increase on Force attacks) affects DoT ticks for Watchmen, but I'm just checking to see if there's been any confirmation (or beg a Dev for actual confirmation).
  7. Someone on my server created a channel and sent out messages to level 50s requesting they join it. Worked wonders.
  8. I'm pretty sure that Insight doesn't affect the critical hit percentage of DoTs. DoTs are elemental damage, most (all?) Force attacks are kinetic damage. I would focus entirely on the Watchman tree until you get Merciless Slash, don't even bother with the other tree (even Dual Wield Mastery - I didn't get this maxed until 44 iirc).
  9. The PvP gear set effects are perfect for PvP. The PvE set effects are underwhelming. But to even imply that the PvP gear bonuses are in any way bad is just sheer ignorance. Sounds like you don't PvP much. P.S. Centurion/Champion/Battlemaster share the set effect. You can mix'n'match.
  10. You misunderstand. If you deal direct damage, Force Camouflage wears off, and you lose the damage reduction that accompanies it.
  11. It's a great situational PvE move, for example if you get targeted by a boss for an omgwtf attack, or you simply need to give your healer some breathing room, but it just prolongs the inevitable in a PVP setting, and it's literally useless in a solo PvE setting. Pretty sure I'm going to go with Crusader, but I'm looking for someone to tell me I'm wrong about my decision with a good reason.
  12. I've maxed out my Watchman tree ABOUT as much as I want to, and I'm currently level 46 (about to be 47). My first 5 points in Combat were quite obvious - Dual Wield Mastery and Defensive Forms maxed out. The second tier is also a bit of a no-brainer - Focused Leap (which I will get the second point into at 47). Where I'm conflicted now is whether or not to dump 2 points into Force Fade or Jedi Crusader. Previously, I would have immediately said Force Fade, but the more I think about it, the less appealing it is. Force Fade gives Force Camouflage a 100% damage reduction buff. The downside is that any hostile action will immediately end the damage resistance as well as the stealth. Jedi Crusader gives you a 100% chance to generate 1 focus every 1.5 seconds as long as you're being hit. In PvE with Doc, the advantages are obvious. In PvP, it also has significant advantages (especially if enemies are out-ranging you). Looking for suggestions and thoughts. Thank in advance.
  13. While in Shii-cho form with Zen active, Slash builds 1 focus per use, or 6 focus per Zen.
  14. Having a strong base critical rating increases your overall DPS output for several reasons. The first, and most obvious, is the direct damage boost to your attacks. After that, take into account that with 5 stacks of Juyo, your DoT abilities are 15% more likely to crit, increasing the impact even further (essentially, a 35% crit chance will be make DoT spells crit 50% of the time as long as 5 stacks of Juyo are active). Surge pairs well with Crit because Surge is a direct increase to the damage that critical hits get boosted by (50% by default, making a crit do 150% of the damage it normally would). This is assuming Watchman.
  15. You can remove Leg Sweep from the Watchman rotation for early movement impairment. Cauterize has an attached 30% slow when talented early on in the Watchman tree. From the perspective of a Watchman, Master Strike has limited utility, but it does have utility, and there are situations where you will want to use it. Typically, however, you want to use a Strike & Slash combo (or Merciless Slash) because of the 33% (66% on Merciless) to reset Cauterize, providing more DoT and better control via the slow.
