  1. Weekly maintenance is weekly maintenance which means it comes at the same night every week. Wake up. Mechanics don't fix car engines while the car is on do they? Jet engine mechanics don't crawl into a 747's turbo jet while it's rolling down the runway do they? If you had a house contractor working on a room in your house would you walk in, lay down a sleeping bag and then scream "Hey keep it down in here I'm trying to sleep!"?
  2. ME. Wait? Other people play this game? I THOUGHT THOSE WERE SUPER SMART NPCS. <- This guy vs Skynet and the Matrix. Bring it!
  3. If you mouse over the skills some will says "Melee" and some will say "Force" as its TYPE of damage. Just like with Troopers they are either Ranged or Tech.
  4. If they're going to put in something like Expertise for pvp. I personally want a pve stat of similar design. If they're going to make it so a full pve geared person does 10+ % less dmg to a pvp geared person, I want a similar lockout stat on pve gear for pve mobs. People may find ops running boring. Personally I enjoy forming an 8 man or 16 man and working together. Why should solo-queue to purples be able to compete competitively in pve?
  5. My clan leaders decided to go Republic, therefore our clan went Republic.
  6. Nah about the valor he's talking about the people that cheesed on Ilum after 1.1 and spawn camped people for 30+ valor ranks inside their base.
  7. I agree with your comment about transfers I really do. If low population events happen they need to address it sure enough. However, what I highlighted in bold is something I find annoying. Get over yourself. This entitlement bs is so very tired and run down. It's NOT A PENALTY. They didn't make new servers and say to themselves,"Someday...when this server population gets low, everyone one on it is going to be PUNISHED because we say so." If someone asks me to help them change a tire, hell yes why not. If someone comes to me and tells me its my fault the tire got a hole in it and I have to fix that while they go get some lunch, no.
  8. No. Leave it as it is. I'm scared to see them "Fix" the datacrons by making them all like the Belsavis green matrix shard. Find x number of randomly spawned in fixed locations on random timers and everyone's looking for them. Then bring said x number to the datacron machine to open it. Cept ya know...everyone's already looking for them so it takes literally 5 in game days to do it. Or you shell out money to some scalper who got lucky and wants his 100k credits. There are guides. Every location is handed to you, with directions, on a silver platter. The only work you have to do is learn to jump.
  9. Here is why. When you select master loot, outside of schematics, crafting mats, and rare speeders, its all done internal to the game. So when you kill a late game boss you get the ui roll window for 2 crafting mats and a schematic. When you select the boss several of the people in your op have received gear. 2 get unassembled pieces, and 2 get random non-set gear. Who won was calculated by the game itself and automatically assigned gear to the winners. That is why having a roll function is semi-pointless under the current system. You can't give it away anyway. Unfortunately this also follows much the same line as pvp bags. As in, yay I won a new columi set piece from this boss. Kill the boss again a few days later. Yay I won that same set piece again, thus denying loot being spread out amongst my group. I personally dislike the system but it is what it is.
  10. Guard makes the medal system frustrating for anyone who is not a tank class. 3-4 medals JUST because of guard. Medals that are therefore completely unobtainable by ALL other classes. And they don't even have to spec tank to use it. I don't particularly want it removed per se. Anything you could suggest for a pure dps to get as bonus medals is obtainable by them anyway. Just frustrates me. What I would like to see are some more medals for healing beyond 2.5k crit, 75k healing and 300k healing. Like healing a teammate that is at under 20% life while they are taking dmg. And so forth. As a system, the medals are ideally supposed to be a meritocracy reward. You perform well and you are rewarded. Sadly the game makes no distinction between getting 25 kills while supporting your team and 25 kills because you run around like a ******* attacking w/e moves. Spread around the medals though. Seeing only tank classes being able to get anywhere near 10 medals is irritating.
  11. I've for the most part had only other melee (particularly Jedi knights) commiserate with me about ability delay and failure. Today I have seen an enormous increase of people complaining of those very same issues that they claimed didn't exist simply because they're a ranged class that didn't have them. I took my Sentinel's actually marked increase in fluidity between skills (though far from perfect as I still get some issues but less than before) in stride and take evil satisfaction in the misery of the ranged. 1 step forward, 1 step back. That said, they fixed some of it for some people. They're getting better at it. I have good hopes.
  12. People went Imperial at release because as a fantasy its kinda neat to be the badguy. People go Imperial now because more people play Imperial. More pvp guilds went Imperial. Class imbalances favor Imperials.
  13. So, just generally speaking, am I the only Sentinel player who when browsing the forums comes across a thread about xxx class and decides to check it out. While reading you come across something like this: "But we're not. Don't over-exaggerate xxx. Get in their face, interrupt yyy, stun them, put a slow on them and you'll have some easy valor. " And just snort in contempt and leave the thread upon reading "interrupt yyy"? With the state of heal spam/tracer missile/grav round in this game I find I interrupt a skill maybe 1 in 10 due to delay or the fact that they have so much alacrity they pop a heal in half a second. With almost every heal skill tree in the game they get anti-push back anyway. Would be nice if a certain amount of pushback fully interrupted a cast. I quite fully grasp that any class that has an advantage right now is going to completely underplay its strengths to keep on top. Which, while I find it to be negative to a healthy game system if everyone lies about it, I can understand the why. It still makes me disgusted even hearing that I should be able to just interrupt and pwn xxx class when it ignores so many things. Interrupts locking out a specific range of abilities... ah nostalgia.
  14. I'm the guildmaster so...no. But then when you're building the groups, have the friends list of good available pugs, admin powers to the teamspeak, and whatnot you can kind of play w/e. Disregarding me being a sentinel (as in lets say I'm not and building an ops group) would I bring a sentinel? I can't help but feel I'd probably be about 30% more likely to check their gear/ask them their rotation than any other class.
