  2. I know it probably doesn't happen that often or to many folks, but dueling "invites" can be a form of "trolling" - at least it has been for me, as I have had a couple of instances where the person followed me around doing it over and over. Asking some people not to do so only seems to give them further cause to do so and/or "reason" to enlist friends/guildies in doing so as well. I know we can set it not get group invites ,so, I'd like to be able to go to preferences and toggle off Duel Invites. The reason I am asking for this is because I have had a few encounters with people who wait until I am mid fight and keep tossing out the duel invite which pops up a window in my way. I can ignore them, but the ignore list is limited *and* doing so would also mean it being done mid fight as well. Thank you for your time and consideration.
  3. It's a Security Feature to help ensure your account "safety" - an attempt to help make sure you *are* the owner of the account before allowing you to log in. Yes, it is a pain to be on the same computer in the same house and still have this happen as often as it does, but it is a minor inconvenience that is there to keep someone else from hacking into your account and causing a bigger problem. As was stated above, you can get a "Security Key" - the old fobs no longer available, but if you have a cell phone there is a way to get it set up (my phone won't do it, as it is older ... I'm sure someone on the Forums or at Customer Service could assist you with it or any questions about it.
  4. Not only when...but what - as in what classes will they be able to be? I'm glad we're getting a new playable race/species...I just wish we could have a little more info ahead of time.
  5. As mentioned City of Heroes/City of Villains had this and it was added into Everquest 2 about a tear or so in. It was fun to be able to get together with friends/guildies who had lower level characters and still be able to play with them in group . It was also cool to be able to go out and gather things and kill stuff without out leveling people who couldn't be on to play as much.
  6. I'd like to see an option to not gain xp and an option to "level down" so to speak to 'mentor' lower level friends/guildies. I don't think either would be a bad thing - it might actually get some more folks playing together - as it can be so easy to out level folks and you can only have so many characters on one Server.
  7. Just curious...other than folks talking about the slot machine (and even you complaining about it - something about wanting folks who used it banned as it was an exploit; much like the exploit you *admitted* you did on these forums, in your mind - if I recall correctly) and the talk here about the "need" to nerf said slot machine and why (what it costs to use vs drops and drop rates of it's rewards) *where* was it "advertised" ? I get that the Pack descriptor may say "slot machine" but I don't recall seeing it advertised as " A Slot machine that offers the owner/user a chance to win "x", "y", and "z" ", much less that it would ALWAYS do so at a set cost/rate that would never ever change. Things get changed (nerfed) in MMORPGs all the time - especially drop rates. And, as stated above I think even YOU called for a nerf to them.....
  8. I don't post often on the Forums but thought I would respond to this. One reason I don't post much is that it tends to be an all or nothing "absolute" thing : People tend to say "you NEVER" "you ALWAYS", and I'm sorry - but absolutes are VERY rare in a true existence. Another reason is that posting here seems much more a way of "venting" as opposed to actually accomplishing anything. Replies and or responses by anyone who actually can and will do anything that could possibly make a difference (i.e. staff of the company running things) is rather hit and miss/few and far between. For this reason it seems to my like posting to complain (rant and rave) here would be like finding a place where a bunch of folks who use the same service provider for "x" are and simply chatting away with/at (yelling?) them about any and everything to do with said service or lack there-of. The biggest thing that usually keeps me away from these Forums (as well as any other game/internet "community") is Online Dis-inhibition. The fact that folks tend to act/react in ways they wouldn't in a personal face to face situation because they *can* seems, more often than not, to lead to instances of hatefulness, rudeness, and bullying. Most attempts at any type of rational discussion are lost to those who simply can't abide such things (trolls). I also notice - at least from my end of things and some chats I've shared with folks over programs like TeamSpeak or Vent - that I tend to read how I "feel"; if I'm in a bad mood I tend to read written things as if the writer was in a bad mood as well. I don't think I'm alone in this, but /shrug who knows. I hope this was helpful and was the sort of response you were looking for.
  9. Please! I so agree on this and wish it would be done, especially since the ignore list is only so long. I also wouldn't mind if it could be made so that if you have more than one character on a Server and you do ignore someone it does so on all characters of that faction.
  10. Umm..if you don't have the credits you *can't* buy the item. Care to explain how this would prevent anyone without enough credits to purchase it?
