  1. I have accepted a guild invite and had a great time this evening, for the first time in quite a while. Thank you for the replies!
  2. I really, really, REALLY wish Souls of Fate was an Imperial guild. I've read your recruitment post MANY times, "tricked" there by "We Want Your Soul!" (which to me, sounds very Imperial), and also thought it would be a good fit for me. If I were more Republic inclined, I'd be all for it. Maybe if things don't work out for me the way I'm going, I'll work more on Republic side instead of walking away, and look you up. Thank you for reading my post, and for the reply.
  3. I've been playing SWTOR since Day One (as well as the open beta weekend), and I must say, my luck with guilds has been terrible. Either I've been in those that I've loved, had tons of fun in, running ops, etc only to have folks stop playing and then fall apart within months or even weeks, OR get myself involved in small "start-up" guilds that never really get started up despite months upon months of patient attempts to recruit and get them running. In those, I usually find myself second-in-command of a guild of 4 active players. I took a break from the game sometime before Makeb came out, and came back shortly after it's release, only to get caught in the same bit. I took my break after the good guild I was in at the time broke apart when we were working on, and about halfway through, Denova Hardmode. I believe that was the top Operation at the time. I haven't found a decent guild since, despite 2 server changes (I won't change servers again). I'm now trying to find a lasting good guild before I find myself taking another break. Some things I'm looking for in a guild: -New Friends: People I can work with to help achieve their goals, and people willing to help me achieve mine. I like to play my character(s) the best I can, but I'm not good at sorting through all the crap on the forums. I've found the best way to get better is to get tips from guildmates. -ACTIVITY: I'm tired of soloing and running dailies by myself. I want to run flashpoints to gear up, and work into running Operations again. I love Raiding, and have since my first one WAY back in EQ1. However, I have an intense fear of Group Finder/PUGs, so all my gear is stuck at (69). I need to run with faces I see more than once. My playtimes are most evenings after 7:30pm Eastern (I'm in Mountian time) and almost all weekend. -The ultimate goal, of course, is Operations. The good gear. The challenge. Being part of a team accomplishing something special. I am not Hardcore - I don't want SWTOR to become a second job (made THAT mistake in EQ2), I just want to have a lot of fun. That's what it's all about, right? I'm a very experienced raider in many MMOs since 2001. I grasp strategy well and understand the need to follow instructions instantly, and react to situations in a split second. -A Republic sister-guild is a plus, but my presence on that side is very light. Here's the kicker (and the part where most Guild Leaders / Recruiters probably close this thread) - I'm a Marauder. I've been a Marauder since release, and I'd like to think I'm a good one. and I'm always willing to learn to be better. I know there's a LOT of "bad" ones, and most guilds seem to be full of them (good and bad). Ideally, I'd like to find a good guild where I can play my chosen class. However, if it comes to it, I also have a 55 Assassin, a 55 Jugg, and/or a 55 Mercenary I'd be willing to play, though if I'm needed in a Tank or Healer role, I'd have a lot to learn indeed. They were all soloed from 1 to 55 in a DPS role. My only 55 Republic character is a Guardian. If you're still reading, thanks for sticking around. This got a lot more long-winded than I'd intended. I just hope that it helps me find the perfect guild. I can be found in-game on Evengelyne, Evengeline, or Mirahh. Thank you for your time.
  4. Come check us out. Right now we are few, but we have a wide range of character levels and will gladly help with leveling. We also have plans for solid Ops Teams for both Empire and Republic. Our goal is a stress-free, fun environment. You can contact us here or contact an officer in-game. Empire: Evengelyne, Shalyne, Nox'strela Republic: Danlyn, Zeladin, Evengelynn
  5. I've been playing since Beta, with a couple breaks from the game. I came back from one such break a couple months ago, but have mostly been working on alts since returning. I'm looking for a small, tight-knit, possibly RP Flashpoint and Operations guild (I do not PvP). I've been a high-end raider in most major MMORPG's, starting way back with Everquest. I have raiding experience in SWTOR as well, as a Marauder, but have no experience with the post Hutt Cartel expansion raids. My last raiding guild was working on Hardmode Denova's final boss when it broke up. I have a deep hatred/fear of the Group Finder, and most (all) of my old friends are gone, so I actually haven't done much post-Hutt Cartel group content. I've been keeping my crafters busy, so most of my gear is in the 156 rating area. I'm not particular of my "Main" - I prefer Marauder, but also have 55 Assassin, Juggernaught, Mercenary, and 53 Operative I'd be willing to group/raid with, although I'd probably need some tips if I were in a tanking or healing role. I'm open to changing specs for optimization, adjust well to changes in strategy, and have access to Ventrillo, TeamSpeak, and Mumble, though I tend to listen well but speak little, and prefer to stick to guild chat in-game when not actually grouping. I can be reached in-game on Evengelyne (Marauder), Sinistryelle (Jugg), Evengeline (Assassin), Myrahh (Mercenary), or Sukana (Operative). Thank you for your time
  6. So if this craziness were to happen, what happens to those of us who spent the time and effort leveling up both AC's of a Class? I'd be pretty upset if suddenly there's no real difference between my Operative and Sniper. Or my Jugg and Marauder.
  7. This is something you'll always have to deal with when you're getting groups via a group finder. Honestly, is it right to flag a player as worthless game-wide simply because they haven't run a flashpoint enough to know it perfectly? There's a lot of great players who start out "bad" simply because they haven't run a certain flashpoint or operation before, or have been away from the game and haven't run it for months. If this is such a big deal for you, you join a guild that kicks "noobs" or otherwise have a certain group of "good" friends you run flashpoints with.
  8. Is this "Super secret space project" still in the works? I realize this thread is almost a year old, but what the OP had in mind is something very similar to what I've wanted since release. To me, the Star Wars Universe is just as much about space combat as ground-based missions, and I'd very much like to see something a lot more open than the "rail shooter" missions we currently have. I'm not saying "Jump to Lightspeed" from SWG should be imported into SWTOR, but I think it was the best expansion SWG had. It was almost like getting a whole new game, but it pretty much made SWG "complete" as far as making space content as viable as ground content. Something like this could never be implemented as an Update, I'm sure. It would have to be a full-blown Expansion - but I'd be more than willing to pay for it. I'm sure I'm not the only one. This is not a "make or break" thing - I love the game as it is - but it would be a huge bonus, and I'm hoping this project is still in the works.
  9. I'm in the exact same boat. I was only gone a couple months, but came back because it was supposed to happen on 6/11. Now it's targeted for 6/25, though they aren't making any firm commitment this time. It's frustrating - VERY frustrating - but the best I can offer is try to be patient. I've been just "suffering through", playing my characters to 55 where they are while I wait. If they're delayed much more, I may take another break and only resubscribe after I've confirmed transfers are actually live. And, as CrazyMcGee said, I'd rather wait and have it done right than have it NOW and have my Legacy ruined.
  10. All of this really comes down to one simple thing: Bioware will charge 1800CC for transferring a character because they CAN. Because a lot of people will pay it. Perhaps a few months down the road, after the initial FLOOD of transfers has reduced to a trickle, they'll lower the price. Perhaps. We can hope. What I don't understand is how so many people are blaming the game for having characters on many different servers. I don't believe any Legacies were split when the servers were merged - all characters on a given server were sent to the same new server. I've been here since launch - my first characters were assigned a server because my friends and I had a premade guild. We had gone for a PvP server, but after a few months, all my friends had quit, and I decided I didn't like being on PvP server. I wished for transfers then, but lacking that, I made toons on a European server to play with friends in Europe from another game. When those guys quit, being on an EU server living in the US sucked since there was hardly anyone at all on when I played in the evenings. Then, I finally made toons on a standard American server where I'm happy. I would desperately like to re-unite my legacy, but the point of all this is, every character I have that's not on my main server is there because I PUT THEM THERE. It's my fault. I'll pay for it. There's several characters on those servers that I won't pay $18 to move, but 5 of them I will. I've already planned ahead and saved the money to make it happen, if only they'd quit pushing back the date (and fix whatever problem is preventing EU to US transfers). Perhaps in the future, if the price comes down, I'll move some of the others. It's the nature of the beast: You charge what people will pay.
