Here is something to think about. Just last week I did a repair for similar reasons. So tell me how in the space of one week files got damaged. That said though others have reported hitting the same bugs. I saw a post on the "At the Foot of the Colossus" mission on this very forum, when I was looking for a solution for that one, dated all the way back in 2012. So your telling me that 9 years ago someone had the exact same problem I did. That's quite the coincidence.

I start a new playthrough as Sith Inquisitor. I play through Korriban, no problem. I play through Black Talon Flashpoint till I get to the point where I am supposed to talk to Yadira Ban, it winds up never wanting to load the cutscene. I do a search online for a fix and I see the only fix is to do a repair. I didn't really want to repair at that moment in time, so I exit the flashpoint and I abandon the mission. I go on to Dromund Kass. I play through to the quest At the Foot of the Colossus and again I hit a bug, this one where you click on the tablet and are supposed to start a cutscene again. And yet again the cutscene never loads. I again research the bug and find the only solution yet again is to do a repair. Since I can't progress with the class story I go ahead and quit and start the repair. These bugs really need to be fixed, especially the one for the class story as it is game breaking if you can't progress.

Sorry to say that whatever you did BW did not solve the problem. I didn't download the patch till this morning. And the moment I log in, it tells me the same thing others have been reporting. And from what you guys said it should have been fixed before now when you brought the servers down early to fix this.

More than a half a year later this bug still exists, just got it myself. Edit: Had to Force Close SWTOR. When I relaunched SWTOR I was able to talk to Lana. The problem here is I shouldn't have to Force Close and relaunch SWTOR just to get rid of a bug.

I hear ya. She appears to be useless. She lasts about half the fight and then promptly dies (at least that has been my experience) leaving you to face the Gemini Captain alone, and you die not long after she does. Maybe her influence level was not high enough, I just bought a bunch of companion gifts and raised her up to 22, maybe that will help, I don't know. I watched one of the videos posted online of the fight with the Gemini Captain It was a BH and it had no trouble. Maybe its just my choice of second class, that is the problem. I don't know but the fight so far has put me in the same boat with damaged armor.

Here is the thing. Wouldn't it say no influence gained (or something similar) instead of giving an error message if it were truly a case of the Gift being too low a level to have any effect? I don't think the gift being too low is the case here with those of having reported getting an error message when trying to use a companion gift..

Yep 6 months after the OP first posted about this error, it is still happening. Had it happen tonight with Aric. Come on Devs any word about a fix for this?

You might be waiting a long time. After KotFE is season 2. If they do it right, they will keep this model of new content every so often (right now its been every month) for the remainder of the life of the game. Which means technically their will never ever be an endgame.

It surprised the heck out of me when I saw that all the mods were now green at the Fleet vendors. This and the fact that contacts have been moved around (I am currently looking for the Revanite mission contact and he's been moved) is kind of making me shake my head.

Last time I went after the fleet datacron was a few years ago. Like with FP, Heroics and the two-man datacrons. I stopped getting them because I couldn't either find a group or someone (in the case of the two-man datacron) to help.

Yeah something like that would never be cheap on GTN. We're talking millions of credits easy. That price would never ever go down either. Why because your spending fifteen, thirty, sixty, etc dollars for game time and then turning around and selling it on GTN for the creds. If I personally did that I would definitely sell it for millions of credits, enough to be able to buy several of the extremely rare items from the cartel packs.

That's the truth of the matter. If we go back to SWG's NGE. I didn't join SWG till after the NGE expansion. I loved NGE but there are others out there that didn't and as I joined they left. The same is going to be the case here. There will be some that leave because of the changes being added to TOR with KotFE. But there will be others that join. Will KotFE be the downfall of TOR, only time will tell, but I have my doubts. Personally I believe the I don't want level syncing crowd to be in the minority. I expect the majority of players will stay regardless, but again only time will tell.

Unless they've since changed something, I admit I've only done it once as I have trouble finding groups for some of the group content because of my game time, which is mornings (CDT) mostly. As it is right now I am on lunch break or I wouldn't be here posting this. Anyways again unless they changed something since the last time I got the datacron on fleet. That time we wound up needing a second group to get the datacron that's on fleet. Maybe we just had people unfamiliar on how to do it. I don't know, but it took a second group to help us get it.

True they can't one shot a world boss. But right now a level 60 can solo a world boss. I myself have seen people gathering groups to do the world boss and in comes a level 60 and wipes it out before the groups can form.

The Two-man ones are and so is the ten man one on fleet. If you can't get people to help you get them you are out of luck.

If that's true then only like three or four FPs are getting a solo mode because to my knowledge Black Talon/Esseles and the one dealing with Revan later have anything to do with the story. There could be more, I don't know to be honest, as I never had the chance to play all of them for the reasons I mentioned in my previous post. You are right there. How many times have we seen players that are just so horrible that the entire group keeps dying. For example healers who don't do their jobs. And then someone rage quits because of all the dying and then we have to wait some more while the group leader tries to find a replacement for the person that quit.

You know I've been wondering something to a small degree. How will this help with Heroics. Flashpoints are being made to be soloable, that's good because when people can't get groups for the content they can still run through it. But what about the Heroics. I stopped doing Heroics and Flashpoints because I can never get a group. That is in part because of my RL, I am a morning player around 7am-Noon CDT. I work afternoons and evenings, during peak times, most days. And during mornings there might be twenty or thirty people on a planet at best, and most of them are either afk, doing their class and planetary missions or just plain not interested. Then you come to the two-man datacrons, they are even harder to get someone to help, unless your in a guild which I am not because again of RL. Dowgrading is fine and I have played another MMO that did it (GW2) so I am used to it and have no real problems with it. But with GW2 there was enough people to get a group for the group content. You might have to wait a few minutes, but you wouldn't have to wait a half an hour that I have in the past here for a heroic or a flashpoint or even a two-man datacron.

I have to echo that. While I have toons on multiple servers I've not filled up a server since the first time they increased the character cap.

Then I misunderstood. As I said I only saw the last few minutes of the livestream. I missed most of it as I didn't know one was happening today. It wasn't till I saw the email about five minutes before the end that I knew one was going on. So it had sounded like to me that all planetary missions (side or questline) were going to be exploration. But from what your saying its Class and Planetary that are required. I wonder if the Bonus Series on some of the planets could be considered Planetary questlines because they do sometimes continue the planetary questline.

I thought he said there at the end of thing on Twitch that planetary were optional once KotFE comes out, that you will only need class missions to level.

I just finished chapter 1 of a BH and it takes you back to Drummond Kass during the interlude between Chapter 1 & 2. Then at the end of your class missions you return yet again to fight the final boss on a lower level planet. Those class missions are always higher than the level of planet. Now if they downgrade those particular missions then I don't see a real problem, especially when it was reported you would get XP for your level even when downgraded. But if they don't dowgrade the mission I can see bugs when you enter a mission door. I myself have played GW2 and I have no problem with downgrading, I just want to how they intend to work those things where you are supposed to be doing higher level missions on a lower level planet, such as the end chapter class missions.

I was talking about class missions, which are the ones that I am the most concerned about. Talking about the Bonus series, it kind of defeats the original purpose of them if the bonus series is downgraded. Of course they were made when they were required for leveling. Of course according to what I saw only class missions are required now, everything else is just bonus, period. I personally have no problem with downgrading the bonus. It ensures people will do it while they are on the planet instead of worrying about whether they return or not later.

Most people won't do them??? Most of the missions that take you back to lower planet later are class missions. Are you saying most people now are just going to roll a level 60 and say screw class missions?

I just caught the tail end of the livestream on Twitch. So I don't even know if it was covered, but what happened the higher level missions on lower level planets?

That is what I wanted to know. Its just confusing when their KoTFE page lists Chapter 1, 2, 3, etc. So either the Chapters they list on the KoTFE page are Act 2. Or there is no Act 2 and KoTFE is like chapter 5 through whatever, and ToR CM are Chapters 1-4. The Chapters listed on that page again are what are confusing here. And what led me to my original post.
