  1. I tried rage last night for the whole night and I have to say the damage wasn't all that bad. I was still being focused every now and again but was able to get a couple of hits out before I died xD I have to say I really do prefer carnage, just need some dam immunity to keep up with everyone else :/
  2. It needs changing that if for sure. I just hope the devs take notice of what we are saying and do something, pvp post 3.0 is in a state :/

You are right, I have been in many situations when the advantage goes to them because they can mitigate the damage in a dps race, also now classes have off healing to a good standard, I see wz with sorcs doing 1m+ damage and 300k healing. Dps shouldn't have healing over time, it is way too useful in my opinion.
  4. I am not a fan of how pvp post 3.0 has been so negative so far =[ I really hope they make some drastic changes or announce that something is being done. Otherwise if this is what pvp shall be like, it will push fans away. I am a huge star wars fan, it is part of the reason I play but if this is what my experience is going to be then the questions that will be asked are going to be like: Am I enjoying this game? Is being a star wars fan the only thing keeping me here? What is the point if this is how pvp will be treated? Is it time to start hunting for a new mmo? Why put time into a game which looks to be degrading? I love this game but the current state is good for pvpers =[ If there was a Dev thread saying something along the lines of "This is what we are thinking" then we would at least know whether it is worth staying.
  5. A guard debuff, it makes sense. Will make the tank and healer job more difficult because we will nuke someone to get the guard off the healer then switch, maybe 5s which is a pretty long time to be unguarded.

    The VIP can only be someone out of stealth then once you are the VIP you can't use stealth?
  7. True they can get back to the healer quick, it takes coordination, in arena it is always push the healer off the edge and down a tier. I find it really hard to down them in pugs because half the team are running around like headless chickens just attacking whoever is closest instead of focussing healers together. Since we play stun wars, we can stun people. Just needs to be timed right which is much harder to do :/ For me as a focus guardian I can get 2 massive hits in a row which are normally always above 20K so I save my saber throw crit bonus and use it with force push, when I see a healer is low i push, i throw, i jump for crit bonus then unless they bubble or use breaker, worst case i have for stasis/choke. I do agree that guard is soooooooooooooooooo good in pvp, changes the state of a warzone, just try to communicate with your team really.
  8. Yes, rage/focus is the way to go. Taking people down in a couple of hits is so much in pvp. Pve content though might be vigilance for sustained damage. Both classes have same defensive cooldowns though.
  9. If you are pvping I prefer carnage. Lvling I would say go anni for dots so you get a bit of healing. It is sad all the negative posts but it is mainly because we were nerfed again after bing a okish class and classes that were already good got some major buffs. Rage can be fun, got some serious single target burst now with the 2 new abilities. I stick to carnage for the speed though, the change to alacrity lowers cooldowns so you can get some great moves outs.
  10. Focus/rage does not just tickle anymore, burst is really good. Not sure whether it will be in pve because you don't get the sustained dot damage or extra masterstrike/ravage. I would say try it out though, it is a lot of fun.
  11. I love pvp in most games and the fact is all those statements are true =[ Cartel market is always going to be the main focus now. It may have saved them money wise but it Is killing other things that should be looked at.
  12. Don't do pve with my guardian but he is my main in pvp. In terms of pvp yes, immortal is great for defending but omg focus/rage burst is so much fun. Vengeance is also viable and more sustainable but less bursty.
  13. Dam straight =] I have shocked so many vigilance/vengeance jugs, I turn on them and they just disappear. Their dots are great for enduring defence. Me hitting them for 12k... not so good for them xD Also I have found the most useful part of them is when a healer is on 50-75% hp so they think they are okish but prioritising other people dieing and then boom you jump in and you can hit them down to 15-20% in a couple of seconds so they panic. Jump someone with another burst class and it is just crazy fun =] Biggest hit so far now is 17k, feel sorry for that player
  14. We need gore/precision back to the way it was for a start, and make predation/trans like hydraulic overrides except only give the immunity to movement to the mara/sent. No sacrifice of fury required and we can move around a bit. Maybe even give the first 2 secs of it immunity to all effect just so we can pop predation without getting straight stunned. 2 sec immunity every 30 secs isn't a lot compared to how many immunity utilities you have given to other classes.

  16. I run guardian with 93% and don't have any problems with missing. I think someone needs to "This is how it is meant to be" xD Official dev statement telling everyone the right amount of accuracy should do it
  17. It all depends on the player. If there is a good tank reading who is getting focused and guard swapping then the match is a lot harder... which is fun but when there is a team of 2 healers and a tank then the match will never end. People just need to focus tanks and cc healers a bit, attack them both at the same time. Remember the smash monkey days, that is how tanks used to get dealt with but now we have to be a bit more calculated, have everyone on the healer then 1 or 2 peeps on the tank. You won't get big crits but tank can die. Or push healer out of guard range, it is a viable move.
  18. Good ideas but 3 second predation to group every 20 secs might seem a bit crazy, only if the immunity worked for us. Just make predation like hydraulic overrides but only give the movement immunity to the one who uses it. The damage is fine, if we did any more we would be focused constantly, sometimes we get ignored but if we did anymore damage we would just be a focus fodder. We need some defense, like actual defense, have a few secs immunity to damage without it costing us health, like dodge that the operatives have, they loose nothing for dodging everything. Same thing essentially. Undying rage/guarded by the force should be like a purgatory state, 99% damage and healing reduction so no loss to hp but a healer doesn't get 4-6 secs to heal you to full.
  19. Sorry it is 9s your right. Sorry mixed up the names, I got a sage instead of a sorc so wasn't sure which one it was. The big thing is that they have a root, pushback with a root and immune force speed and a slow. We have leap & predation but by the time we get anywhere near them we are dead :/ Yes force camo is our best bet, it only breaks roots if talented and if not talented you just stand still receiving aoe damage for the duration because it has no immunity to anything. If you aoe a sent/mara in camo you can actually see the damage being done just cant see the player. I normally get aoe mezz and slow as soon as I camo anyway. makes no difference most of the time.
  20. That is the big issue. We leap we then get kited or stuned, we need a utility to keep up with all the movement.
  21. Totally agree, arena's are the worst thing to come to ranked, death matches will never be fun.
  22. Ops are balanced for the first time ever, even with the dodge and resist of everything. They can kill people but also can be killed. There are plenty of rooting & slows in this game, there is too much in my opinion. (Also stuns). Pvp is meant for countering though, if you get rooted you should get something to break it, obviously you shouldn't be able to break every single one but atleast some of them. Otherwise for some classes it is just a root fest.
  23. A sorc has 2 roots if he is hatred, you get one with one of the dots. It only roots once every 10secs but still counts as a second. I am not sure how the mez and stuns work from different disciplines though.
