  1. Yeah then if you are against it, your server is not one of the ones the OP is talking about. I feel your pain (naddist rebels). We peak like 60s on the fleet... it's very bad. Every planet is less that 6-9 people on at a time. ANY planet you go to (including ilum).
  2. True, but the only real unlocks you get from making opposing faction character is their legacy ability unlock... the rest is unlockable on the empire / repub only side... why roll one? Races? They aren't that expensive to unlock, just pay for it.
  3. It's quite trash really... What a joke.
  4. I say yes... why? Because they wont' freaking do a server merge and my server peaks at 65 people on the fleet.
  5. Checking out a few different servers has kind of open my eyes to how little the population on some servers are. I was at a friends and saw the top few servers populations and was sickened that my server is bad... VERY bad... What would bad be considered? Every planet outside of the fleet housing 1-4 players at a time, where a few would be at 8.. and the fleet sitting at 50ish at the same time. This of course would be your typical saturday afternoon/night. SOMETIMES our fleet gets close to 100, but that is RARE. Even on the 2 free weekends that recently went through, I saw very few people on the starting planets still. Which shows me that there is a lack of interest for people that haven't tried the game yet. So, As the server populations are dwindling here and there... and less and less guilds are showing up on my server (Have had to swap guilds a few times to compensate for all the quitting... and then merge guilds etc), when will this be a sign to the Devs that something needs to be done quick? I honestly feel like they are imagining some amazing thing coming out of 1.2 that will draw players back, but the sad reality is, that the majority of those I knew that did play, have no interest in coming back for cosmetic and things that should have been in a triple A title at launch. So when do server merges come into play? I am sick of not seeing anyone, and want to keep playing, but It is becoming more and more of a hassle. I refuse to start over on another server and throw away everything I have already accumulated, but that means my only alternative is to quit. I don't really want this to be a "Do this or I'm quitting" type thread, but really... this is what it is turning into, I am just sharing it on the forums in hopes that a developer can actually read and hopefully ADRESS this issue sooner than later. The more that quit now, will be the more that never returns. Returning customer's are common on games that it was their first MMO's, not their second, or third or fourth... First. So unless you have a good chunk of people that just started playing MMO's when this came out, don't expect to see a huge spike longer than 1-2 days when 1.2 is finally dropped.
  6. So your real concern... is that you don't HAVE to do sidequest (since there are 4 other ways to level....you just don't like them?). I leveled my Merc to 50... Purely did storyline quests. I grinded on mobs, did space missions, PVP, and a few flashpoints... Why? Because I had no intent of running through sidequests. The fact that there are 5 total ways to level.. Questing Space Missions PVP Flashpoints Regular mob Grinding And you are complaining that you don't like one of those ways? To put icing on this.. IF you did every sidequest on each planet, you would skip 1 planet. My marauder did no PVP, No space no nothing BUT did every quest at that planet. Heroics included (those are sidequests) and ended up hitting 50 right when I landed on Voss. I also had 2 1/2 planets where I was doing quests for 0 xp due to being too high level... sooo
  7. There is a repub class that can be twileek.
  8. It could be that there are only 10 people on each planet... if that.
  9. Still waiting to hear from them about this, it was only in one of the past couple of updates that this started happening to me.
  10. The original "gripe" was that you would need to GET that legacy level 20 and THEN pay an additional 2 Mil or whatever for 1 unlock... Dev posted, debunked that or confirmed that it was changed to one or the other... All rejoiced.
  11. Lawl.. more log get off work at 4:30, get on game at 5:30/6:00 raid till 8ish, log off 3 days a week... Sure I do my dailies on saturday sometimes even sunday... but that's about all the playtime I have.
  12. I don't have autism, I have a real job and family, so knocking out those dailies every day is a little beyond my means. Guess gold buying is the true alternative... lawl
  13. If what I am seeing on this video is correct, not only will you need legacy levels to unlock stuff, but you will need to amass a huge amount of credits for each unlock... Why is it that Bioware assumes people have millions and millions of credits? I know several endgame raiders that have enough to cover repairs, but that's about it.. not much money to be made off raiding... and if you don't spend the time flipping stuff on the market, or doing your daily quests... you quickly find yourself broke. Like the white saber.. 2.5 M for 1? So for my marauder to look nice, I will need to drop 5 mil on a color crystal that will be gimped in 1-2 months? Where am I suppose to get that 5M from? It's excusable because it is an "exclusive luxury item" type thing.. so that's fine... But with the Legacy Unlocks requiring me to have spent weeks of grinding to get to the 25 legacy level, and then also costing me millions for one unlock.. that seems kind of BS to me. I am all for money sinks in an MMO, but why have a legacy system when you need the money as well? (For those that say you only need the legacy level OR can spend that money... re-watch the video where he is hovered over an ability... "Requires legacy level 8, 2,000,000 credits"). Is anyone else upset about this ? Can a Dev shed some light? If a dev DOES read this, since I have YET to see this other question commented on... when are you planning on correcting the valor rating of all those that abused the ilum glitch so long ago, that you guys said would be investigated and corrected? I know quite a few people that still have yet to get a warning at the very least and went from a lower Valor to BM or close enough. Also... Can you PLEASE look into some server merges sooner rather than later? Getting to be a drag to see less and less players on my server (Naddist Rebels). The fact that I just leveled a new character to 50 and every zone was less than 20 people on ANY given day outside of the fleet is quite sad to me. ****Sry got a little off topic there*****
  14. Illum is a joke... 4 people on at any given time sometimes 8 on the peek hours! I am on a open pvp server... saw 3 people on both characters I took to 50. Can't accomplish Ilum daily/weeklies due to lack of players. PVE is a joke with only 40 people on at a given time. patch 1.2 will fix nothing due to majority of the people having already quit.... P.S. way to fix those glitchers that duped money week 2, and the people that cheated to get battlemaster like you said you would.. lawl...
  15. Sounds a lil' too late imo, since oh.. 40% of my endgame players on my server have quit already.
  16. Sprint at level one is one of the more stupid changes... Why even have the ability if it is given at level 1? Just bump everyone's speed by 15% and remove it... shoulda just made it a legacy trait to give to all your alts if you were legacy 8 or something.. but nah, You make a brand new char, you get sprint.
  17. true, but playing a game that you only see interaction on the fleet, even in open world pvp servers (hooray tatooine has 6 people on, maybe I can complete this 4 man heroic) is full of crap.
  18. i guess nobody knows, wow this game is so dead that nobody knows what is going on. I love that... I really do. This is a sad state, I think imma un-sub until it goes Free2play.
  19. Did they completely remove these? I don't remember seeing a patch notes about this since they have been added.... The ones that spawn in outlaw's den.
  20. How are we expected to test 95% of this patch when we start at level 1 on a test server knowing that it is all getting wiped anyways... Fail...? THIS IS WHY... every update that is more than fixing a couple of lines of text is followed by 3 more updates that week correcting things that slipped by the public test server... it's because we can't test it. PS if a dev IS reading this.. .goodjob fixing that abuse of the Ilum bug for battlemaster and valor, way to lie about that. Oh and the free weekend, how's that make you guys feel? How many people actually tried the game out? Because a friend of mine said he saw roughly 4 people outside of the fleet the whole weekend. Fail again.
  21. I think it is fine, I knew a guy IRL that just was not good with using keyboard macros... he just was REALLY bad.. He would always fatfinger what he wanted to do, or not hit the right one, or whatever... He told me he didn't want to use the mouse instead because it made him a worse player. Poor guy... I personally use my keyboard, but that is preference only. I have nothing wrong w/ clickers, unless you are very slow with it, and you have at least given the keyboard/bindings a try to see if it is something you like.
  22. With the new "invite a friend" feature here, what incentives do I have to actually bring my friends here? Also, are there plans in place for a scale down feature to allow me to go with him instead of having to make a new character just to level with them? I personally want to stick to one character, like others here.
  23. Oh so even though I mentioned not everyone will share the same point of view, you few feel it necessary to post on here and tell me "If you want him to play, then just reroll"... I already stated I have no intentions of re-rolling. I do not play WoW, and this is the ONLY themepark MMO i have played for more than 30 days... I hate these types of games because they seem to nudge you constantly to re-roll a new character. I am very glad you guys can make a new character every 2-3 weeks or so, but I refuse to go through the same exact content over and over and over and over... I do not like questing, is another big thing... so why would I remake a character and be limited to having to go through a forced questline again? Scale me down, allow me to play with my friend.. it is simple. OR, I will just abuse the power-leveling system either one.
