  1. Another thought: What if each of the companion armor/weapon pieces were RE'able, and a crafter could produce (and crit) on a frame for a given armor/weapon piece with no restrictions on them (other than level)?
  2. Really, all we need for this to work is two additional NPCs: One vendor that sells a "box" of full mod gear that only that companion can use that contains the appearance. The box would contain: Helm Chest Pants Gloves Bracer Belt Boots A second vendor that sells various full mod weapons that have the "default" color for blaster bolt/blade color when empty.
  3. I would like some way to acquire character specific full mod gear for some of their outfits (especially their starter one). IMO several companions just look better with what they start with vs what you can find for them later on. Edit: This can easily be accomplished by adding two NPCs to the fleet: One vendor that sells a "box" of full mod gear that only that companion can use that contains the appearance. The box would contain: Helm Chest Pants Gloves Bracer Belt Boots A second vendor that sells various full mod weapons that have the "default" color for blaster bolt/blade color when empty Edit 2: Allow crafters the ability to extract a schematic for the frame for each cosmetic item. Frame would have no restrictions other than level, to allow players to use that appearance, and also give the companions a way to get Aug slots on their gear.
  4. What I'd love to see with the space battles: The ability for me to fly my ship in formation with several guildies and the guild capital ship all taking an active part in combat. The guild capital ship can have several people manning the turrets to help make it more interesting in a fight, with the unmanned turrets defaulting to targets selected by whichever office is the captain of the guild ship. Edit: Or have multiple stations on the capital ship that allow players to micro various systems, so that it's more about the team working together cohesively on the capital ship. I'd rather have something that feels like the Battle of Endor than something like the Battle of Yavin IV. And if Bioware does give us space flight, I want to be able to control the Tron lines and color of the ship so it can give me an edge over someone that doesn't want to put the time and effort into it. I'd love for an excuse to dust off my old MS Sidewinder Precision Pro joystick again =)
  5. While worded strongly, until it's in the patch notes, "in a future Game Update" is not a guarantee, because something internal to Bioware can happen between now and then that will prevent this from occurring. I've seen it in other game companies, and expect it to happen with some stuff from Bioware as well. Hopefully not this feature, but I'm not going to be naive about it.
  6. With 1.2 coming up in the near future, anything without an augment slot is going to be inferior (and thus not used). To keep the social items useful (and give us a reason to grind out social rank), I would like to see all social items gain augment slots. I would also like to see social items choose their armor type based on the player's advanced class, so social items would be light, medium, or heavy armor instead of just light armor.
  7. One thing that has sorely annoyed me for as long as I have been using the GTN are the messages that Someone has bought something, yet they don't contain the credits from the purchase.... which come in a later message. I would like to see all of the GTN messages either be: Sold: <Person> bought <item> <fee break down> Credits are attached Unsold: <Item> was not purchased. <fee break down> Credits and item are attached.
  8. Only if we get toggle switches to disable both the straight and gay flirt options....
  9. I actually snapped at someone when they tried that BS in another game - partially because being a legitly diagnosed ADD person, I find it offensive when someone just uses it as an excuse. The other reason, if I can learn how to focus - then they can learn to focus.
  10. And this is why I saved names for 4 on each faction on my home server. Granted, only two of the republic are active atm, but still....
  11. I would be for this provided: 1) Color crystals never carry any stats - although they may have level and light/dark side requirements 2) All weapons get a new slot for Power Crystals. 3) Artifice Color Crystal Recipes are simplified into Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green color crystals (available initially), with the Orange Color Crystal at Tier 6, with Endurance and Crit Power Crystals added to offset losing the bulk of the color crystal recipes. Both of these would allow me to chose whatever color I have and not worry about compromising stats, but also allow Armstech the ability to make different power crystals, without nerfing Artifice. It would even allow Armstech to make different color crystals than Artifice as well - so Armstech gets a buff (which it needs), and Artifice stays the same. You could even throw RE into the mix, and allow Artifice to discover even more color types.
  12. Bioware needs to join every other MMO producer out there and stop disabling the forums when they are patching.
  13. Like what happens to Alderaan many thousands of years later, perhaps it's time to cut the losses and blow up Ilum.
  14. Is it possible to crit a piece of Rakata gear?
  15. While I can't take credit for this one (it's a guildy's suggestion)... What if Illums PvP area becomes an Open PvP area where everyone's hostile to everyone else not in their group? This will (hopefully) spice things up a bit.
  16. It's like crack addicts when you take away their crack.... They can't learn to do without, they must have their crack. And any who would deny them their crack are slacker n00bs who don't want to push themselves.
  17. Unless there's a skill tax (like there is on a sage, 5 points to the middle tree so you can function effectively), I'd always go for the primary tree first - gives you far more power as you level.
  18. You can for most of them.... check the keybindings under options.
  19. I will agree that opening up the API to mess with various UI elements with Lua scripting (possibly Lua + XML like how WoW does it) will ultimately allow the devs to crowd source their UI - so we all win there. However, I'd rather not see anything like Gearscore, or any add-on that touches the combat log (should it ever exist). As far as macros go, completely unneeded. Sounds like some addons trivialize difficulty, as indicated by being able to down content easier. It's called situational awareness. In other words, everyone is watching debuffs, watching boss buffs/debuffs, and seeing if anything needs to be paid attention to. A great example are the LotRO timebombs known as eyes, and how people deal with them correctly. There's no addon in the world that's going to save you if you get an eye and don't respond correctly. And sometimes, you need to stop progress to mess with the mechanics.
  20. I'm in the process of training myself to use my mouse for movement over my keyboard (to help with PvP), and I came across a rather odd problem: When I unbound turn left and right from the keyboard (so I would stop be more reliant on the mouse for turning instead of the keyboard), this negatively affected my movement in space missions.... I could no longer steer to the left and right. Sooo..... could we please have a separate set of key bindings for EVERYTHING that we'd need for a space missions. This would also lay the foundations for key bindings should we ever get a true space sim mode, in addition to the Star Fox mode we have now. Thoughts?
  21. If threat meters were so crucial to MMOs, why have we been downing raid bosses in LotRO for over 4 years without them?
  22. I come from LotRO where we don't have threat meters. We solve that by pounding it into our tanks head that they must produce as much threat as possible, and by telling the DPS if they get agro, we're going to let them die. You'd be amazed how fast agro problems disappear after that. If you can't tell this by simple observation and inspecting gear, then you need to become a better player.
