  1. Cancelled today, sorry Bioware. I gave you two months to do something about the faction imbalance. Your response? To give us another same-faction warzone, thus encouraging people to flock to Sith. The legacy system will do nothing to encourage Republic growth, since you get the same reward when applied to Sith characters. All they had to do was give us an advantage. A buff. A unique race or companion. Instead, they would rather turn this into a single faction MMO. Maybe I'll check back in like a year.
  2. Ilum is proof that there is a major imbalance. A simple incentive to get people to play republic? Make the Yoda race playable. Done and done. Of course, they will do nothing, and the game will die, and the Sith will wonder why.
  3. I heard they put a hard cap on Ilum that is NOT FACTION RELATED. So you can have 49 imperials and 1 republic still. I would just like to get some kind of acknowledgment from Bioware that they are at least aware of the problem. As it is, the official stance seems to be "I don't know what you're talking about". If you plan on screwing us like this for an extended period of time, please just say it and save us the grief.
  4. I would say you could rename this thread "THINGS WOW HAS THAT SWTOR DOESN'T" without changing a word of the OP. One wonders why you aren't playing wow as a result. But we also know you DIDN'T play WoW anywhere near launch, because most of these things weren't around then. "- A customizable UI with third party add-on support. All healers (experienced healers) that I know cringe at the lack of a customizable UI. Click-to-heal made healing fun. Bioware MUST implement this.Ensure mouse-over heal support. " - TRANSLATION - I was one of those people who couldn't play WoW after patches until they fixed healbot. "- Increase combat-responsiveness. Having a 1.5-3.0 second delay between the key stroke and the ability executing, even with a 50 ms connection, is UNACCEPTABLE. This game's combat feels incredibly dull, and clunky, and this is one of the reasons for it." - I've been dismounted on my speeder once or twice, but 3 SECOND delay? Way blown out of proportion. "- Add a combat log. I will say this again. ADD A COMBAT LOG. IT IS A *MUST!*" Not a must by any stretch of the imagination. It's pretty simple to figure out which attacks are priority. Do you really need Elitest Jerks to tell you exactly what buttons to press in order? "- ADD TARGET OF TARGET into the game (not the alt +t toggle that isn’t really ToT.)" - I suppose this would be helpful in raids, certainly not gamebreaking though. "- A fix to optimization issues. Great machines are not running this game so great." Meanwhile my midrange machine is running this game as smooth as butter. But knowing how to maintain a computer has nothing to do with that... "- A fix to delay issues that are not related to latency. People have "50 ms" latency and have a 3-4 second delay on select abilities. " You already said this, and I already pointed out it was hyperbole. "- Improve your servers so that you do not have to create two separate instances for a mere 50 people in a SINGLE sub-zone. That is just asinine and removes the social/community atmosphere from the game. I bought an MMORPG, not a single-player Mass Effect RPG." Agreed
  5. The sharding definitely makes this game not feel like a real MMO. On republic, where we maybe have 50 people in a zone, it it really neccesary to split us up into "balmorra 1" and "balmorra 2"?
  6. I agree something needs to be done about the faction problem if this game wants to have a real chance
  7. Here's what they can do: Make a new Rebublic race: Yoda frog They can be any Jedi class. The model is already in the game. Maybe add a custom flip animation or two. Obviously new voice acting will be needed, but they have the scripts. Get a guy and start recording! Patch this in and watch the Republic population skyrocket.
  8. I fully agree. I hope this doesn't get ignored.
  9. Fail. Just fail. I'm guessing you can't heal without healbot either? You know there WAS a time when WoW didn't have any of these mods, and we were still raiding.
  10. Back to WoW with the lot of you. I hear there are level 20s going unganked right now. Go get em!
  11. I'm guessing the OP is the guy who would stand in Nessingwary's Camp all day and slaughter people 30 levels below him. Just a wild guess.
  12. LOL if you spent $1500 on that. A whole TERABYTE of hard drive space?! WOW! Honestly dude, I'm getting an avg of 45fps with a 2-year old quad core and a gtx 560. You might want to think about closing down some of the 20 other processes you probably have running to start with,
  13. WHY are there so many laptop idiots with integrated graphics thinking that it's Bioware's fault that they can't play the game? It's like being angry about gas prices when you don't own a car.
  14. Lol great thread, the OP got owned about as hard as one can get on a message board
  15. You might want to lose the snarky tone in your review. It makes you come off like a WoW fanboy who is threatened by a game that may eclipse your favorite.
  16. Assuming a conservative million copies sold. So, we gave you $60 million, how bout you throw us a bone on the server queues?
  17. Queues are a fact, hypothetical friends aren't. I say screw em.
  18. No, if they really care about these friends, they can go roll on one of the 47 light servers with them. We don't need to ruin this game for these hypothetical situations.
  19. I agree, lock the servers. There is NO reason not to. Hundreds of people don't need to suffer because Little Johnny wants to play with his friends who don't have the game yet, Little Johnny can reroll.
  20. Re rolling is not an acceptable solution. I'd love to hear Bioware give some excuse, ANY excuse, for why this is happening. It seems all the talk about early access waves helping to ease server stress was totally off. So if you know you have X amount of preorders, why on Earth wouldn't you have enough server capacity for AT LEAST that many people to play at once? Let alone all the people who bought it without preordering... This seems fairly simple to me, so maybe Bioware could enlighten us as to why it's not easy. Just tell us you underestimated the amount of players and are working to fix it. That's a lot better than a post describing what a queue is, which is all you have given us so far.
  21. The game itself works great. The problem is the server queues.
  22. So what was the point of the whole early access waves thing if we still end up with massive queues?
  23. IE a quick /who on my server reveals over twice as many sith players than republic players at prime time last night. Frankly, since so many servers are lopsided like this, wouldn't it make sense to throw the republic a bone by having shorter queues? I think it's more than fair in light of all the ganking and pvp losses we will experience solely because of an unbalanced population. And if sith don't like it? Roll republic!
  24. They should make the queues based on the faction population. The underdog gets in fast, the zeroing has to wait
