  1. Hello all, I'm looking for other players to found a republic guild. I was thinking along the lines of a group of 30 members (each with at least 1 char level 55+) for casual raiding, dailies and pvp. I'm not looking for die-hard gamers, but players who want to have a good, well-geared character, who are social and helpful towards others and have a respectful and mature attitude. The primary goal is not to become the best guild there is, but to become the most fun guild there is. Guild name and leadership will be decided by the group during an in-game meeting. Please leave a message if you're interested or add me to your friendlist, name: Winama.

  3. I'm not sure if Bioware actually reads this stuff, but I think I have some cool suggestions for future improvements of SWTOR: • Unlock more existing human complexions for players through cartel purchase. Right now these complexions are only used for NPC's. There are a number of really cool complexions with light beards and moustaches. See examples here and here. • More family tree options – allow companions in the family tree (as spouse or ally for example) and allow friendly alts in the family tree to be placed in strongholds (same way as companions can be placed there). • Delete the levels on legacy unlocks. Paying for it should be enough. This is simply a remnant of the old model before SWTOR went f2p. • Allow people to choose their warzones. There are many warzones nowadays, and sometimes you just feel like doing Huttball instead of Alderaan. • Class unlocks – If a player has reached level 50 with a class, allow that player (through cartel purchase if needed) to level up a character of the same class by only doing the class quests. That way you can still level a sentinel after you’ve finished the main jedi knight storyline as a guardian without having to invest hundreds of hours doing exactly the same thing.
  4. For my Bounty Hunter I would love a Stronghold on Hutta (which is actually my favorite location/planet in the game). For my Jedi Consular, a stronghold on Alderaan with a view on the beautiful snowy mountains and green fields.
  5. 1. Cost reduction of moving level 50 mods (30k per mod is WAY to much). 2. Better protection against mount knock-off. 3. A quick travel to ship. 4. A more pronounced audio warning for a group finder pop.
  6. Ok, so I kept doing the mission and now I'm having no trouble at all. So keep trying! After you finish it a couple of times it gets easier.
  7. Hmmm... just did the Fondor mission again. Maybe I am doing it wrong... still evidently I'm not the only one who's having trouble with this mission or this thread would not exist.
  8. How to take the fun out of space combat!? ffs... even with all grade 5 gear this mission is almost impossible. Why make this so hard? Is it supposed to be fun to die 50 times trying to finish this?
  9. At first I was very opposed to F2P, but now that I've read the plans I have to say that this might have been a good choice. I've seen a lot of my friends leave SWTOR to try other games. And there have been a lot of new releases lately with more still underway. However, I was convinced, given enough time, that most of those players would eventually come back because (imho) this is just the best game the MMO market has to offer right now. Ok, it's a bit low on end-game content, but with a new ops comming in 1.4 its moving in the right direction again. MMO's need time to grow and SWTOR has had a lot of competition. 1 more thing: The announcement of the F2P option was somewhat of a relief to me. I was afraid that free-to-play was going to be pay-to-win, but with subsriptions still as an option and with Cartel Coins for convenience items, boosts, visually unique gear, collectibles, etc. I can support it. Anyway, I love the game and I'm gonna stick with it. Keep up the good work Bioware!
  10. One of the most fun things in SWTOR (in my opinion) is interacting with your companions, especially the companion quests were really fun to do. So I was thinking: What about a monthly companion quest? It would work like this: Once every month one of your companions has a quest for you, nothing fancy, just fun to do and a nice reason to return to planets you wouldn't visit otherwise (this is also a good opportunity to do more with the lore!). As a reward you get a customizable or cosmetic item (orange) without mods, or just something fun.
  11. I totally agree. Games like GW2 and SecW are trying this too and failing horribly. The cutscenes in GW2 are really horrible and don't even get me started on SecW where your character just looks like he's high on something while listening to NPC rambling on and on. SWTOR was the first to introduce this and did it right in 1 go. Kudos.
  12. I feel a bit guily about this. I love the game but, in truth, I only visit the forums when I'm really unsatisfied with something. For example: I went out of my way to complain about the PVP-changes they made with 1.2 (which started out with a really bad medal-system) and also with 1.3 and the long queues right after the introduction of the character-transfers (something they should have had since launch imo). A lot of my friends left SWTOR but for all the wrong reasons. They have tried to get me back to WoW, or to start with GW2 (with beta) or SecW. I've tried them all and I know now that SWTOR will probably be the best MMO game for years to come.
  13. I like the class, but there is 1 thing that bothers me: Unload gets stuck a lot. He just keeps shooting the corpse like some maniac and in pvp it draws a lot of unwanted attention. Also: the female merc has some kind of trouble with long hikes and after a while she acts like she was hired by the ministry of silly walks. Please fix it.
  14. 1. How do you think your Sage spec is perceived by other classes? Loved & feared for the same reasons. The sage is an excellent healer, both in PVP and PVE. I see no reason to change anything. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? Other classes respect the sage for his raw power, but we get laughed at because of the way we look. All the end-game sets look simply terrible - tionese, columi, rakata and BH/campaign. When I see my character in the character selection menu I think to myself: "How is it that a character that is so frickin' awesome looks like a total twet?" He doesn't look like a jedi at all, more like queen Amidala with a hangover. And yet, good sets are possible. I loved the level 20 promulgator set, the old centurion set (the brown one, not the stupid red-and-yellow-christmas-tree-one of the recruit set) and also what the consular is wearing during character creation. This class needs a bit more masculinity after two VERY feminine sets.
  15. Me: A literature student Class: Jedi Sage Why: I enjoy taking the moral high ground (and throwing rocks at people who refuse to accept my reasoning).
  16. Would it be possible to keep the chat visible during loading screens?
  17. Server transfers are not a service. They tell you when, they tell you where and you will end up on a server with a waiting queue of an hour. 1.3 is not such a big update. Okay, we got the legacy perks, which is nice and I like the augment tables and such, but I was mostly excited about 1.3 because of the server transfers. I had a friend on the Tomb of Freedon Nadd (PvP server) and I was hoping to play with him when the transfers came, but he quit his sub because there was no new ops in this update. Anyway, I still transferred to Freedon Nadd and I still enjoy the game, but the server has had a waiting queue of ca. 1 hour every evening, so now I'm rerolling again on another server. Bioware made a great game with SWTOR, but this... this is just not working for me. I would imagine an MMO made in the Soviet Union to function like this, not a game made by one of the major firms in the modern gaming industry.
  18. If this is true, then what about the Bounty Hunters and smugglers? I would expect such classes as part of a Cartel faction, but it would be kinda weird to just take them out of the Empire/Republic as you have your guild and your friends in that faction.... I don't know... Would have been cool, but I just don't see it happen.
  19. 25 june - Waiting queue of 50 minutes 26 june - Waiting queue of 1 hour and 15 minutes To be honest I'm really getting tired of this ... Seriously, I have been a dedicated player since launch, first rolling on Ahto City, this server died so I rerolled on Tomb of Freedon Nadd... Now I'm actually rerolling again on a different server because I simply cant' login in the evening. All I want is nice character on a normal server, but since launch this situation (for me) has actually never existed. I can't say it enough: if they had launched with server transfers they would be having none of the problems they are facing today. Please Bioware, don't make me 1 of the 400,000! Make an effort to keep me in the game ffs, because I am quickly losing interest.
  20. Making a good game was never a problem for Bioware and as much as I love SWTOR I wouldn't call the future "incredibly bright". Wasn't it only a few days ago that they announced considering F2P. I'm not worried about the content, I know that's going to be great (as always) but losing 400,000 subscribers in a few months makes you wonder...Wonder why. And I think they made 2 critical mistakes at launch: 1. To few operations 2. No server transfers I wish I could be as optimistic as the person who wrote this article but in truth: the server transfers have become a real mess with a waiting queue as high as 50 minutes for the PVP server Tomb of Freedon Nadd. I would really like to see Bioware get their priorities straight.
  21. The server with: 1. a normal population 2. all my characters 3. the highest of my legacy I know... its a lot to ask... and I seriously doubt if it's ever gonna happen.
  22. Server transfers... lol! It is truly amazing how they keep messing up. Is there no 'Poor choices of the year award' or something? 3 of my friends refused to re-roll, now the fourth and last has cancelled his subscription... great job bioware! Can't wait for 'Allies' even though my allies all left the game by now.
  23. I used to play PVP a lot, with friends and guildy's, but since 1.2 everybody lost interest. PVP is not part of the rest of the game anymore, it has become a seperate game within SWTOR that is not designed for regular players but for people who play PVP exclusively. Such a shame... I really enjoyed PVP but they killed it. It's like what Joni Mitchell said: Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot
  24. Yes I see. I think I misunderstood. Good that we are in agreement. But then I wonder: Why did they change the PVP reward-system? What was wrong with the old system? I just don't get it. Why did they mess this up?
